Spring is coming and this is the turnkey car you have been looking for. I have absolutely adored owning this special Spitfire, and I love Triumphs. I bought this about 2 years ago from the original owner who had only put 20,000 miles on the car and then parked it in her garage waiting until she felt she could drive a manual car again. It never happened and I purchased it from the family. I thought it was going to need to be trailered but they had started it up every month, kept a good battery in it every few years, however the tires were original and bad, and the radiator needed attention. I gave the car a brand new set of 4 high quality Kumho radials in the correct size, got a new radiator and rebuilt all the hydraulics. I tended to a few other minor needs like an over haul of the speedometer which was noisy and dry, and a new cable, a carburetor overhaul and choke kit, and then turned to cosmetics with the car running beautifully. I did the factory original houndstooth seat kit, a new Robbins factory top, and the paint just would not buff up so an extremely high quality repaint was done, and rubbed out beautifully with new badging then attached. This car is just drop dead beautiful, and drives like they did when they were brand new. It flicks in and out of Overdrive, a truly desirable option, in both third and fourth and is a great highway car with unbelievable gas mileage. This car has never ever been hit r had any body damage, the panel fit is perfect, and lights, gauges, gadgets, all work perfectly. The car has the wonderful luggage rack option, and the interior of the trunk is flawless with original spare, tools, and covers. I have the factory original owners handbook in its case, and they look brand new. This car will also come with what is the full tonneau cover, in brand new condition also, nothing dried out or in poor condition. No disappointments with this one. Send an inspector or a friend to see it (during auction only). The reserve on the car is a bargain, and less than what I spent on the freshening up of an amazing, low mileage survivor.  This car is for getting into and enjoying right away. Help with shipping available, at buyers expense. Ask any and all questions but this is THE ONE.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
