1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500

I have decided to sell my 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500. Previous California car until approximatley 5 years ago and was brought to Ohio by California owner's son. I took this car in on a partial trade last July with the intention on making a nice driver out of and later restoring the car but have too many projects going on. I have fixed a few things that it needed to make a driver out of it. It is a fun little car that gets lots of attention. I drive it around town and take it to the local Cruise-In. It is not perfect and still needs a few things but is a driver that can be used as is or continue to fix up while you drive or even a great candidate for restoration. I drive it whenever the weather is nice out!

Less than 86,000 actual miles, original 1493cc 4cylinder, 4speed manual transmission, Pierce intake, Weber carb, Holley fuel regulator, electric fuel pump, Pacesetter header, Monza exhaust, GM 4.3 alternator, new waterpump, new belt. Previous owner had cylinder head rebuilt, ARP head studs. Runs pretty good--I think carb is too big cause it does run a little rich and get black on rear bumper. I plan to adjust fuel regulator and see if that makes a difference. I have new front brake pads, rear brake shoes, and brake cylinder to go with car (not installed), Appears to have had one repaint a long time ago so paint is no where near perfect but looks good from a distance. I blacked out the hood and added stripes because paint had blistered in the center of hood.

Wipers inop, turn signals inop, heater not hooked up but I have the parts, some rewiring has been done, needs a top (plastic windows are cracked and taped up), Tonneau cover to cover interior included, also repair manual included. Cheap to insure. I drive this car several time a week as long as weather is nice!!!

I am sure I have forgotten something so ask questions if necessary.

PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR IT. NO SCAMMERS, ETC. ETC. AS IS SALE, WINNING BIDDER TO CONTACT ME WITHIN 24 HOURS AND MUST BE PICKED UP AND PAID IN FULL WITHIN 7 DAYS.  DEPOSIT THRU PAYPAL DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
