This is a 1977/78 Triumph Spitfire restoration project. I will do my best to fully describe the vehicle, but please keep in mind that I am far from any kind of expert, especially when it comes to British cars. The panel on the door Jamb say it was manufactured in November of 1977 but the title says it is a 1978. I came in possession of the car about 3 years ago. I purchased it from a neighbor because my honey wanted it. It was setting outside with three flat tires and the interior was exposed to the elements. The seat parts are all there (I think) and it looks like all the panel pieces are there but, I would replace them all. The rag top is there but all the canvas needs to be replaced. (see photos). As you can see by the other photos, the entire dash should be replaced as well as all the weather stripping. The glass is all there and both door windows roll up and down, however, from setting in the Arizona sun and sand, they should be completely disassembled cleaned and lubed.I bought two new tires for the front and they hold air. The rear tires are in poor condition and both should be replaced, but they do hold air. Now to the heart of the matter. The car is NOT running. the engine is there and it turns over freely. I put oil in all of the cylinders and I turned it over at least three times a year to make sure it is still free. The carburator was in the trunk and it was not complete. I purchased a brand new one and it is still in the box, unwrapped. I also purchased a new air filter and electric fuel pump because I was told it needed one. I have a parts distribution catalog, and an assembly book for the spitfire as well as one other manual, (see photos). The gas tank is a mystery. I am guessing that if there is any fuel in it, it is probably so gummed up as not to be any good and there is a very good possibility that the whole tank should be replaced. I simply do not know. I was to restore this car in my spare time, but I have done basically nothing in three years and I believe it will be safe to say I will not do anything for at least three more years. I have far too many other projects on my honey do list so I hope someone else will be able to bring this little car back to life. I would like to get out what I have invested, but we will see. Please look at all the photos carefully and please ask all questions prior to bidding. There are two areas on the body that are rusted out. Both the drivers side and the passengers side floor panels are rusted out. (see photos). The previous owner screwed in sheet metal but they should be cut out and new pieces welded in. The carpeting is all garbage and should be replaced. The car has been sitting in my garage since I purchased it. I took it out for the first time today in order to take pictures. There are other areas on the car where surface rust is beginning to form. I tired to take pictures of all of them. The cars also needs to be repainted. There is only one dent that I could see and that is under the passengers door. (see photo). I am sure that once sanding starts and primer is applied many more will show up. I was told by the previous owner that the transmission and rear end were both in good condition. The odometer says it has 69,648 thousand miles. I think it would be more accurate at 169 or 269 thousand judging from the condition of the car. There is a manufacturers tag on the drives side of the windshield which reads M717547U. There is another plate on the drivers door jamb which gives the following information. Paint is 19. Trim is C-74 and another number FM71757. This is also the tag that says the car was manufactured in November of 1977. I make no guarantee either expressed or implied on this car. What you see is what you get. I have done my best to describe the auto but the pictures can tell you a lot more. Please look them over carefully prior to bidding and please ask all questions prior to bidding. The car is located approximately 10 miles north of Kingman Arizona on my property, in my garage. All parts shown in the photos come with the car with the exception of my house, my other car, my wife bird feeding area and the gate and entry, and finally the kennel where I sometimes leave my dog. Also the tips of my boots do not come with the car. Those are my favorite boots. Buyer is responsible to move car to his or her location. I may be a able to transport a short distance for an additional fee. I do have a free and clear Arizona Title. I have the 2013 tag which goes on the license plate over the 2012. Thank you for looking, have a fantastic day and Happy bidding. My refund policy is as follows. If for any reason you feel I have misrepresented the car I will consider a refund but only if you can prove it was a misrepresentation and EBAY will ensure that this happens. As you can see I have a 100% positive feedback rating and that is because I treat others the way I would want to be treated. I may have missed some items in my description but this is not intentional. Again, please look at all the photos and ask all questions PRIOR to bidding. I am sure I may have forgotten or have missed some things, so please work with my and ask the questions.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
