Hello, This is a 2012 Toyota Yaris LE with 30K original miles in MINT condition. Everything works like NEW. This car is a 10 on 10. it gives about 42 MPG or more. It was purchased at a dealer auto auction from Enterprise rent a car. They sold 54 units marked as flood damage salvage. There were several cars that had absolutely NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER but were still sold as such. I do not know why. This car has absolutely noting wrong with it at all accept the fact that it has a salvage title. There is no damage of any kind. It even smells like a new car to this day. I have test driven it for 50 miles at high speeds on the freeway. It starts fast and drives beautifully just like a new car. I have tested every electric feature out and put it up on a lift. There is absolutely no trace of any damage of any kind. EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY FINE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL GAS SAVER CAR..
On Jun-13-13 at 19:03:03 PDT, seller added the following information:
The only thing that I can think of why Enterprise would mark it as such on these units with absolutely no damage and sell it cheaply to other dealers is that they actually have made a claim with their insurance company and got their money out of it already. Insurance companies do not question Enterprise Rent A Car. They write them a check to keep their business. Sometimes Enterprise will reject all cars sitting in one area when an event occurs irrespective of damage or not. This car has no damage whatsoever.

Toyota prices fuel cell sedan $70K in Japan, coming to US and Europe next summer [w/video]
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Toyota has finally unveiled its FCV hydrogen fuel cell sedan and its Japanese price. We won't have to wait too long to see the first of these revolutionary vehicles on the roads. It will go on sale in Japan in April 2015 and will come to the US and Europe later that summer.
In Japan, the FCV will be priced at roughly 7 million yen before taxes ($68,810 at current exchange rates). However, Toyota makes it clear in the press release that we shouldn't try to extrapolate US MSRP from that figure, saying that official pricing for the US and Europe has not yet been determined. As will be the case in the US, sales in Japan will be limited to parts of the country that already have a hydrogen refueling infrastructure (that means you, California).
The production version of the FCV looks almost identical to the concept from last year's Tokyo Motor Show. There is a new vertical strip of LEDs at each corner of the front air intake and real sideview windows, instead of the nubs on the prototype. The weird squiggles from the rear trim are also gone in favor of a more production-ready look, but the taillights survive the changes mostly intact.
Australia may offer money to keep Toyota making cars there
Tue, 04 Jun 2013In the wake of last month's announcement that Ford will cease automotive and engine production in Australia after 2016, many are wondering what the country's other automakers will do. Holden has already confirmed it will stay the course despite Ford's exit.
Much of the GM subsidiary's reason for sticking around has to do with a deal made last year between Holden and the Australian government. In order to secure a GM investment of $1 billion and a commitment to keep manufacturing in Australia through 2022, the government threw in an extra $215 million. According to Australia's Minister for Innovation and Industry, Greg Combet, the government is now in talks with Toyota for a similar deal.
Toyota operates one plant in Australia, the Altona manufacturing and engine plant in Victoria. The facility produces the Camry, Camry Hybrid and Australasia-only Aurion for both the local market and export. The report from GoAuto indicates that negotiations with the Australian government would include adding production of a third, all-new model at Altona, possibly the new RAV4, because it shares many parts with the Camry.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
