You are bidding on a 2002 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 V8 with 141,151 miles on it. Truck belongs to my father-in-law, and I am trying to sell it for him. He recently purchased a travel trailer and upgraded to a larger truck to pull it. Truck was purchased new (single owner) and has been VERY well maintained. I can get the service person at their local dealer's name and number if you would like to verify service info (if you are a serious buyer). The interior of the truck has also been well taken care of with seats having had covers on them ever since the truck was purchased new. The truck body is clean with minor scratches--most could probably be buffed out, never any major damage. The truck has had a small dent and scratch repaired by a body shop on the left bed panel for $300. If you have any questions, just send me a message, and I'll get you an answer as quickly as possible. Thanks for bidding!
We have some of the maintanace records, and as I stated in the description I can get the dealer's
number and service writer's name for verification on service. What I know for fact is that the timing belt and water pump was replaced @ 90,148 miles and both replaced again @ 135,226 miles (due to pump leak). The transmission fluid and filter has been changed every 60,000 miles, and shocks have been replaced at ~115,000 miles. It has Michelin LTX M/S2 Tires on it, factory spec are 12/32 tread depth. Front tires are at 9/32 and rear are at 6/32. EPA rating for fuel mileage is 14/17, and my fater-in-law said it get about 17 driving around town and he's not sure about highway mileage. And it is a non-smoker's truck--never been smoked in.
The truck had been taken in for manufacturer recall on rust. Truck was cleared by dealer.

Leaked Toyota FT-86 Open concept images preview droptop Scion FR-S [w/video]
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Here it is, folks - the highly anticipated Toyota FT-86 Open concept, a precursor to what could become a road-going Scion FR-S convertible. A full smattering of images and video have leaked onto the internet, and thanks to the folks at FT86Club.com, we can now see the new hotness that Toyota will be unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
These images confirm details that were first seen in spy shots captured a couple of weeks ago - namely, the larger wheel/tire package and the inclusion of the Toyobaru coupe's decidedly useless rear seats. These new photos, however, show a two-tone leather interior with goodies such as an iPod/iPhone mount on the dashboard. The concept car is also fitted with the coupe's six-speed automatic transmission (boo!) and FT86Club.com reports that the folding soft top is operated electronically.
We'll have the full details live from Geneva in just a few days. For now, click through our attached image gallery to see lots of pretty pictures of the topless wonder, and scroll down for a video to see the concept in motion.
CARB uses tricked-out RAV4 EV to measure air pollution in California
Fri, May 23 2014The old-school Toyota RAV4 EV you see above is the California Air Resources Board's version of a non-participant observer. The all-electric vehicle cruises around the state measuring airborne pollution. Since it's powered by batteries, there are no tailpipe emissions created as CARB tries to get a handle on how dirty the roadway air is. The problem, CARB says, is that it is difficult to measure air pollution levels, "during calm conditions at night and in the early morning." There are over 250 stationary air monitoring sites in California today, but the Board wanted a way to expand where and when it can test for things like ultrafine particles, carbon dioxide and nox. The original plan for the Mobile Monitoring Platform – as the RAV4 EV is officially called – was to "Investigate Spatial, Diurnal and Seasonal Pollution Gradients" on California's highways and ports. The RAV4 EV was originally expected to cost $280,000 (see pages 11-12 in this PDF from 2009), but a new report in the Modesto Bee says it had a total of $300,000 just in monitoring equipment. Michael Benjamin, CARB's chief of air monitoring, told the Bee that the MMP, "paints a thorough picture about what air quality is in any given community." More importantly, the stationary and mobile testing equipment can tell CARB when and where the air is getting cleaner. Which is the whole point, after all.
