Cleanest Lifted Tundra On Ebay on 2040-cars
Kennesaw, Georgia, United States
Time to sell my Tundra. Before you read further know that this is my daily driver in Atlanta traffic so don't mistake this for a lifted truck that is not drivable. Just got 23mpg on a 600+ mile trip. Truck is for sale locally so get it quick. I'm not the negotiating type, but I will tell you no unlike some of the unfriendly folks on eBay. Mechanically a 9/10 and paint is 8/10. I bought the truck lifted from the local Toyota dealer (Marietta Toyota) who has sold the truck 3 times. They sold it new, then took it in on trade two more times. Yes, glad to verify it. I do not know what kit was used and would guess that its a 4" lift on 31" Toyo TerraGrapplers (40% treadlife approx.). The deck at my office is 7' and the antenna pings occasionally but I park without issue. It also has aftermarket exhaust that rumbles. Almost sounds like glass packs. No idea of brand but sounds great for a V6. Eight foot bed. The facts are it has Mobil One every 5k with Mobil One filter. OEM air filter and plugs 6 months old. Under the hood and the undercarriage of this truck are almost new looking. Timing belt done at 80-90k and yes I can show you. New alternator and belts. This truck has load leveler airbags under the bed with air inlets by the tag so that if you put a heavy load in the bed you put air in to adjust the ride. Has towing pkg and have never pulled more than a trailer with one of my bikes on it to and from shop. I put an Alpine head unit in and added a Parrot Mki9200 ($1k for both). This allows you to talk on your phone through car stereo and microphone and to also stream music via Bluetooth or hardwire. You can simply put your music on a thumb drive and plug it in if you like. Sounds great. Windows are tinted and bedliner is freaking industrial. Sylvania $100 headlights with KC's and yellow LED's wired to low beam so all on at low beam and off at high. Switches on dash to adjust accordingly. this is the list of what is "wrong" and is exhaustive. I have excellent feedback for a reason. Nothing to hide. A couple of paint chips here and there...maybe four. Non bigger than 3mm. Crack in right tail light assy. Doesn't leak and cannot see. Bottom of door jams are scratched on both sides from getting in and out. Seat on driver's side has started to crumble...this is on the side and not on the seating surface...it's from sliding out of the truck and there is no stuffing or whatever showing. I am putting a new windshield in it this week as the GPS unit somehow caused a crack. I walked out one Monday after a very hot sunday of not doing anything and it was there right where the GPS is attached. Regardless, new windshield. Small dent in driver rear bed see pic no paint scratched. Never tried to pull it...was there when I bought truck. That's it. Swear it. I LOVE this truck. Too many toys. 3 bikes a car and a truck. Living the life, but gonna swap this one for something else. No one can tell this is a two wheel drive V6 and you will surely get 300k if you treat it right. |

Lower gas prices mean there are excellent deals on green cars right now
Sat, Jan 17 2015The phenomenon was big enough to make news in 2006, then in 2008, in 2011, in 2012, in 2013, and again last year: a big move in gas prices means a big move in alternative-fuel-vehicle sales. True Car's TrueSavings report, which averages transaction prices across the country to figure out what people are paying compared to MSRP, shows that electric cars and hybrids are ripe for excellent savings right now. The Ford Focus Electric presents the greatest disparity, with the average transaction price of $25,168 representing a 16.1-percent saving off its $29,995 MSRP. The Kia Optima Hybrid and Toyota Prius also snagged spots in the top five, with the Kia offering a 10.7-percent discount and the Toyota a 10.1-percent discount. One hybrid managed to show up among the top five lease offers, too: the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid is just $315 a month for 36 months after $3,875 down in some markets. Alt-energy vehicles got bumped out of the top five finance deals, however. That was dominated by light trucks and, oddly, two subcompacts. The press release below has more details. TrueCar finds hybrids, EVs top list of best savings in January Gasoline price plunge = savings for consumers on alternative fuel vehicles SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford's Focus Electric hatchback, which sells at an average of 16 percent off MSRP, tops January's list of best savings on new vehicles, according to TrueCar, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUE), the negotiation-free car buying and selling platform. The "TrueSavings" monthly report analyzes current transaction prices and identifies opportunities for consumer savings. "Fuel savings are not top of mind to many consumers right now, and that makes this a great time to buy a hybrid or electric vehicle," said John Krafcik, president of TrueCar. "With gasoline prices now averaging just $2.10 per gallon, and vehicle preferences tied so closely to short-term gasoline prices, automakers are heavily discounting their most fuel-efficient cars to clear inventories." Toyota's Prius, the world's best-selling alternative fuel vehicle for more than a decade, also makes January's list of best savings. Customers who purchase a Prius Two model this month can save 10 percent off the hybrid car's $25,025 MSRP. "Gasoline prices and vehicle type preferences are strongly related, and this relationship is cyclical in nature," said Krafcik.
Toyota projecting record profits, thanks in part to weak yen
Fri, Feb 6 2015Toyota retained its global sales crown in 2014 by selling 10.23 million cars in the calendar year. As the positive number might suggest, the Japanese automaker is doing extremely well financially, too. Although, some tougher times might be on the horizon. Toyota recently released its financial figures for the three fiscal quarters running from April 1 through the end of December 2014. Net profit jumped an impressive 13.2 percent to 1.727 trillion yen ($14.7 billion) for that period. It could be the Japanese automaker's most profitable time ever when the fiscal year ends in March, if things keep going this way, according to The New York Times. Toyota's own profit forecast for the 12-month period is also up by 130 billion yen ($1.1 billion) to 2.13 trillion yen ($18.1 billion). One key to the company's success is the low value of the Japanese yen, because it allows Toyota to make more money on each vehicle the company sells abroad. The currency is now worth relatively less than any time since the early '70s, according to The New York Times. Despite the rosy financial numbers, actual sales have started to fall, albeit a very slight amount. Through the three fiscal quarters, the company sold 6.73 million cars, a drop of just 45,365 vehicles. Toyota also reduced its forecast for the fiscal year to 9 million units, rather than the original estimate of 9.05 million. According to The New York Times, the shrinking Japanese auto market and difficulty in China might mean losing the global sales lead next year. For the US, sales jumped 145,411 units from April through December to a total 2.1 million vehicles. Operating income reached $4.27 billion, nearly 50 percent more than last year, according to The New York Times. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Announces April – December 2014 Financial Results February 04, 2015 Toyota's global net income jumped 13.2 percent during the nine-month period (April 1– December 31, 2014) of the 2015 fiscal year. Global Financial Highlights: Global sales decreased by 45,365 vehicles to 6.73 million, with strong sales in North America and gains in Europe, offsetting decreases in Japan and other regions.
Toyota ready to get dirty with new TRD Pro Series
Thu, 06 Feb 2014To the general public, Toyota is often thought of as a maker of bland but dependable cars, crossovers and SUVs that get their owners and a whole herd of whatever from Point A to Point B. Generally speaking, they're fuel efficient, comfortable and affordable. What the general public may not realize, however, is that Toyota enjoys a very strong history of going off road, too. The legendary Land Cruiser arguably established the trend, helping explore remote parts of the globe, while various guerilla warfare outfits and world military branches have unwittingly joined up with the boys from Top Gear to help cement the Hilux pickup's reputation for invincible performance. Now, though, Toyota is launching a new line of trucks and SUVs in the US that are even more explicitly targeted at hitting the trails. Meet the TRD Pro Series.
Featuring the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra, each Pro Series vehicle features TRD-tuned springs with Bilstein shocks, a TRD front skid plate, a TRD shifter, black wheels, branded floor mats and a "TOYOTA" grille badge, the latter of which harkens back to classic models. TRD Pro Series vehicles will be offered in the new Inferno paint color shown above, as well as Black and Super White.
The Tundra benefits from softer TRD springs that also provide a two-inch lift and a better ride in the rough, while the truck itself rides on 18-inch wheels with Michelin ORP tires. Each truck gains an extra two inches of wheel travel in front and 1.25 inches in back, while a TRD dual exhaust should generate a nicer sound than the trucks's standard V8 engine. Finally, a unique interior with red contrast stitching freshen up the cabin. We wouldn't go so far as to call this a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fighter - far from it, in fact - but it's a bit more off-road oriented than your average pickup.
