I have listed the condition of the truck already. I invite anyone interested to come look, inspect, and drive it. I have added an Alpine amplifier, driving 2 sets of Boston Acoustics PRO SE component speakers, which were professionally installed.The doors and part of the dash have been Dynamat installed at the same time as the speakers. The inside of the truck is very quiet without the radio on, and is very clear and loud with it on. I am including in the sale, as well, the remainder of my SiriusXM radio subscription. Not sure the length of time, probably about 5 or 6 months.
The truck has a factory installed bedliner, and also has a tow receiver with some sort of adapter included (never used). Also, this truck has a remote starter installed at the dealer at time of purchase. The truck was purchased locally, from the dealer less than 3 miles away. Never had any problems. As an incentive of getting my asking price or close enough to it, I will have the truck detailed thoroughly (IN and OUT) at a shop. I am still making payments on the truck, final sale price will consist of the buyer making the payoff payment to the bank, with the balance being paid in cash or cashiers check to me. Depending on the location of the buyer, I will take the truck to them once the payment is made. I will write out a bill of sale and both buyer and seller will get notarized copies. I will not ship this vehicle. I will work with the buyer to the best of my ability to make the transaction go smoothly. This Irishman really likes the Toyota GT86
Sun, 10 Feb 2013Okay, okay - by this point in time just liking the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, what have you) doesn't make you special. Even if you're a sort of funny sounding, funny looking Irishman, who probably isn't the most seasoned car reviewer ever, digging the GT86 is not news.
However, if, when you choose to publish your ten-minute-long review, you include exclamatory phrases about your own pubic hair, Ozzy Osborne's drug habit and "gentleman vegetable stuff," well sir, then you'll have our attention.
Don't give up on this video, available down below, after the first couple of minutes, we implore you. The silver-tongued Irishman doesn't really get warmed up until four minutes in, or so. Believe us, it's worth the wait.
Toyota to recall 185k cars globally, including Yaris
Thu, 04 Jul 2013Toyota has announced it is recalling a total of 185,000 vehicles worldwide for a power steering issue. Yaris and (overseas) Vitz models built between November 2010 and March 2012 could suffer a short circuit in their power steering control module if water gets inside. Should that happen, the power steering could fail, increasing effort when turning. The recall also includes the Verso-S and Ractis built from August 2010 to August 2011. The recall covers 130,000 vehicles in Japan and around 22,450 in Europe.
Only 74 units are being recalled in the United States.
Toyota says if the fault occurs, the vehicle will display the Electronic Power Steering warning light on the dash and a buzzer will sound. The automaker will alert owners by mail and dealers will replace the power steering control module free of charge. You can read the quick press release on the recall below for more information.
Toyota SEMA cars include Tundra for Baja and wacky DUB Edition Yaris
Tue, 28 Oct 2014Toyota has released the first images of its brigade of concepts for the 2014 SEMA Show, introducing a trio of TRD-fettled off-roaders, a pair of DUB-inspired models, a race-ready pickup and a Sienna minivan with 48 inches worth of subwoofers.
Four of the vehicles being shown by Toyota will take part in the grueling Baja 1000 off-road race. The star of that effort will be a race-prepared Tundra, which will actually be competing from November 12 to 16 in the 47th running of the desert race. It'll be supported by a trio of vehicles, which mimics Toyota's TRD Pro Series production vehicles, with the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra all acting as support vehicles.
Each of these vehicles has been fabricated by the off-road specialists at N-Fab and comes loaded down with communications and guidance equipment, additional lights and off-road body modifications.
