You are bidding on my 2007 Super White 5.7L Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4. I am the second owner and we have both taken very good care of this truck, I have had it serviced at Tuscaloosa Toyota since I bought it and all services are up to date and all re-calls have been done per Tuscaloosa Toyota. The Tundra has Leather seats that are soft and in perfect condition, the drivers seat which is electronically adjustable has very little wear while the rest look new. All interior carpet looks new and has Husky Liner front mats in the front. The JBL 9-speaker stereo system has GPS Navigation, multi-disc changer, HD radio, Rear-view camera, Sub-woofer under the rear seat, steering wheel controls and BlueTooth phone interface. The Four Wheel Drive system works perfectly and the closest to off-road this truck has been is a dirt road that leads to my hunting camp. It has an automatic transmission with manual sport shift option. The truck had a leveling kit installed when I bought it but it looked like the front was slightly higher than the rear so I had 1" lift shackles installed on the rear along with Bilstien shocks. The windows are tinted which really cuts down on the heat in the summer but can be removed rather easily if you don't care for it. The bed is 6' and has a spray-in bed liner which is slightly faded and a rail lock bed rail cargo system. The truck has factory 18" aluminum wheels with Nitto Terra Grapplers showing about 50% tread. There is also an information gauge that displays outside temp, average MPG's, instant MPG's and distance to re-fill. The rear-view mirror has built in garage door openers and a compass. There are plenty of cup-holders and power outlets as well. The heated and powered trailer mirrors are very handy and can be extended out for better view if towing a trailer. It has proximity sensors on the front and rear bumpers along with the rear view camera make parking the truck in tight places easy. Backing up to a trailer hitch using the camera is awesome. I've included a picture of the under side of the truck to show that the frame is rust free as this truck has remained in the South since new.

Toyota launches updated Yaris in Europe, Vitz in Japan [w/videos]
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Toyota first launched the Yaris in 1999, though that model was sold in the North America as the Echo. The second generation arrived in 2005, replaced by the third in 2011. Sometime next year, Toyota is expected to roll out a new Yaris for North America, to be built in Mexico on the same platform as the next Mazda2. But before that comes to pass, Toyota has introduced a mild facelift for the Yaris in markets other than ours.
With styling cues borrowed from the new Aygo and the Yaris Hybrid-R concept, the new Yaris (for Europe) and Vitz (for Japan) are distinguished by updated styling front and rear. Though the European model bears a more aggressive look than the JDM version, both feature the new X motif that seems to be the new look for the whole family - particularly for small hatchbacks.
The back end has also been revised to incorporate new LED taillights and a (faux) diffuser in the bumper. The cabin, meanwhile, has been redesigned to feel roomier and quieter with upgraded equipment. The suspension has also been refined, and in Europe at least, Toyota will continue to offer the Yaris with a choice of 1.0- or 1.3-liter gasoline engines, 1.4-liter diesel or hybrid powertrains.
Toyota's $1.6B unintended acceleration settlement approved
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Toyota is now one step closer to putting its unintended acceleration woes behind it as it has received approval from the US District Court for the Central District of California to settle loss-of-value claims to vehicles associated with the 2009-2010 recalls.
As we reported back in May, the Toyota settlement is worth $1.63 billion, which, according to Bloomberg, includes a payout of $757 million to affected owners, $227 million to attorneys and an additional $875 million for vehicle upgrades. (We did the math, too, and that totals $1.859 billion, but there is no justification for the discrepancy. Fuzzy math, eh?)
Based on the estimated 22.6 million vehicles said to be included in this suit, that would make the average payment about $33.49 per vehicle, but the article says that owners, lessees and even renters will receive varying amounts ranging from $9.74 up to as much as $10,000. This settlement does not affect suits filed for personal injury or wrongful death.
Is 120 miles just about perfect for EV range?
Tue, Apr 15 2014When it comes to battery-electric vehicles, our friend Brad Berman over at Plug In Cars says 40 miles makes all the difference in the world. That's the approximate difference in single-charge range between the battery-electric version of the Toyota RAV4 and the Nissan Leaf. It's also the difference between the appearance or disappearance of range anxiety. The 50-percent battery increase has zapped any lingering range anxiety, Berman writes. The RAV4 EV possesses a 40-kilowatt-hour pack, compared to the 24-kWh pack in the Leaf. After factoring in differences in size, weight and other issues, that means the compact SUV gets about 120 miles on a single charge in realistic driving conditions, compared to about 80 miles in the Leaf. "The 50 percent increase in battery size from Leaf to RAV has zapped any lingering range anxiety," Berman writes. His observations further feed the notion that drivers need substantial backup juice in order to feel comfortable driving EVs. Late last year, the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), along with the Consumers Union estimated that about 42 percent of US households could drive plug-in vehicles with "little or no change" in their driving habits, and that almost 70 percent of US commuters drive fewer than 60 miles per weekday. That would imply that a substantial swath of the country should be comfortable using a car like the Leaf as their daily driver - with first-quarter Leaf sales jumping 46 percent from a year before, more Americans certainly are. Still, the implication here is that EV sales will continue to be on the margins until an automaker steps up battery capabilities to 120 or so miles while keeping the price in the $30,000 range. Think that's a reasonable goal to shoot for?
