PRICED to SELL FAST!! This truck is in good condition, per the vehicle history report is a one owner vehicle and well maintained. The tires are all-terrain and have lots of tread depth, this truck has a power rear window, snug top fiberglass bed cap, spray in bed liner. The timing belt was changed by a Toyota dealer. We have changed the oil and the vehicle has passed an ASE Certified Tech's inspection. There are minor scratches that we had touched up and a couple of small dings on the tailgate. Toyota Matrix not long for this world?
Thu, 18 Apr 2013According to a report from AutoGuide, Toyota doesn't have plans to replace the aging Matrix hatchback in the United States after this year. If true, the timing coincides with the replacement for the Corolla, on which the Matrix is based, with that car slated to get its first complete redesign since 2006 (2008 in the US market).
We'd love to tell you how many Matrix models were sold by Toyota in the United States last year, but the automaker chooses to bundle Matrix sales with Corolla sales, so we have no idea. That said, we have to assume sales of the hatchback don't contribute much overall to the total number of Corolla-based machines.
We're also unsure if Toyota will choose to exit the youth-oriented compact hatchback market entirely, or if the automaker will rely instead on its hybrid Prius line and Scion models like the xB and xD.

Toyota recalling 10k vehicles to fix wiper switches
Fri, 11 Oct 2013Toyota has announced a voluntary recall covering approximately 10,000 cars in the United States. Affected models include the 2013-14 Camry and Camry Hybrid, 2013-14 Avalon and Avalon Hybrid, and the brand new 2014 Corolla.
The problem, as Toyota explains it, is that, "During manufacture of the wiper switch assembly in the involved vehicles, certain contacts on the switch terminal could have been manufactured incorrectly." This could lead to a short in the circuit when the wiper switch is moved between "off" and "mist," and thus, cause the windshield wipers to stop working. Not good.
Toyota will contact owners via first class mail, and the vehicles can be repaired at dealerships, free of charge. Have a look below for the automaker's official statement.
