Up for sale is a very clean, loaded, and sharp looking 2001 Toyota Tundra Access Cab 4x4.  There has only been 1 Previous Owner.  It has both clean Carfax and Autocheck Vehicle History Reports.  It was just traded into a Nissan dealership on a new vehicle.  Here at TacomaHQ and Auto Advantage we specialize in Toyota Tacomas, 4Runners, and Tundras.  We have offered and sold well over 110 on eBay in the past year.

The exterior is in excellent condition.  The original "Silver Metallic" paint shines beautifully.  The entire truck is very nice with only two minor flaws to mention.  There is one spot of rust on each bedside that you can see in the pictures.  It has the original frame which has been fully inspected and undercoated by Toyota.  It is solid as a rock.  The undercarriage is in very nice shape, and as you can see in the pictures.  There are absolutely no leaks underneath.  The 18" MB wheels are free of corrosion and make the truck look great.

The interior is very nice and clean.  The carpets, seats, dashboard, glass, and headliner are all in great shape.  There aren't any smoke smells, burns, or marks inside.  There is a small chip in the windshield all the way near the top.  All of the electronics are functioning properly.

This Toyota Tacoma has many nice features and options!

- 4.7L iForce V8 Engine

This Tundra runs and drives absolutely great.  Everything works as it should.  The 4.7L V8 engine starts instantly and runs great.  The transmission shifts nice and smooth and the 4-Wheel-Drive works exactly as it should.  The truck goes straight down the road with no shakes, rattles, or pulls.  At 143,000 miles, the Timing Belt, Timing Belt Tensioner, Water Pump, Front Crankshaft Oil Seal, All Drive Belts, and Thermostat were all replaced at the Toyota Dealership!

I have 2 Keys, 1 Remote, the full owners manual set, 4-Piece factory floormat set, clean CarFax report, the full size spare tire, jack, tools, wheel lock key, and a clean/clear title.

Construction of Lexus' first US assembly line underway

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

The ES is Lexus' top-selling sedan, but the Japanese luxury marque has never manufactured it outside of Japan. In fact, Lexus has never made any cars in the United States, one of its largest markets worldwide. But that's about to change.
Yesterday, construction began in Georgetown, Kentucky, on the first Lexus assembly line in America, the first concrete (or steel) step in a $360-million expansion of Toyota's plant in the Bluegrass state that will create 750 new jobs. The expansion was announced last April by chief executive Akio Toyoda at the New York Auto Show.
Once the new assembly line gets online in the fall of next year, Toyota plans on building some 50,000 units of the ES each year. Lexus sold a record 72,581 examples of the ES in the United States last year - 30 percent more than the previous year - so Lexus will either have to import some more from overseas or leave some buyers disappointed.

Honda, Subaru airlifting parts to bypass port labor diputes

Fri, Feb 6 2015

It should be abundantly obvious that a vital element in building cars is actually having the components on hand to assemble them. A labor dispute on the West Coast between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and management is not making that quite so easy for some Japanese automakers. Work slowdowns at the ports have pushed Honda and Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries into flying some parts into the country. The two automakers began shipping by airplane late last month to avoid production delays, according to Bloomberg, but it has been an expensive solution. Subaru's chief financial officer said the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. They aren't the only companies dealing with the problem, either. Toyota reportedly stopped overtime assembly at some of its factories here because of the delays in getting parts, according to Bloomberg. The dockworkers have been negotiating on a new contract since May 2014, and the current offer on the table to them has offered a 3 percent raise, according to Bloomberg. Although, the union is reportedly considering another slowdown at 29 ports along the West Coast in the coming days. How Charlotte lost to Plano without even knowing it was dealing with Toyota

Thu, 08 May 2014

With Toyota set to relocate its North American headquarters to the Dallas, TX suburb of Plano following a top-secret, 100-city search, the cities that missed out can now begin asking themselves what happened during a process they apparently knew little about.
That's a particularly brutal task for Charlotte, which, according to North Carolina's Secretary of Commerce, Sharon Decker, finished second to Plano. While Toyota has been fairly open about what it was looking for in a new headquarters city - direct flights to Japan, proximity to its US production facilities, a lower cost of living, high-quality educational facilities and finding a neutral site suitable to the California, Kentucky and New York-based employees that would be relocated - it's been less open about how the finalist cities, which also included Atlanta and Denver, stacked up against each other.
The Charlotte Observer has a few ideas. Part of the problem is the distinct lack of direct flights between Charlotte and Asia. US Airways, which operates a hub at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, doesn't fly to Asia.
