For sale is a 2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. This truck is in immaculate condition. It has been garage kept and I bought it new. It only has 5859 miles on it. Most of which was between two trips. It runs and drives great. It still has the powertrain warranty remaining. The only place on the entire truck is on the right front of bumper and it is a small scuff where I bumped a barrel in my garage. This truck does have the Toyota sport hood and the painted mirrors and door handles. This was done at time of purchase due to my wife preferring that hood. All added accessories are Toyota except the trifold bed cover.  The reason I am selling is I need a diesel for towing with my business. I hate to see it go but I am just not using it. 500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours and remaining within 7 days. If you need more photos I have them so just ask and the truck is listed locally for sale and can end at anytime. My number is 304578836. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Toyota Prius gets higher clearance, better suspension in Pakistan

Thu, Jan 2 2014

It's been 16 years since the Toyota Prius launched in Japan. Finally, the world's most popular hybrid is becoming the first hybrid car to show up in Pakistan. This version of the Prius has been customized by Indus Motor Company (IMC) in order to deal with, well, let's just say some challenging road conditions. IMC knows what it's doing, and has modified Toyota and Daihatsu vehicles for the Pakistani market for over 20 years. The Prius brings with it the iconic shape and Parvez Ghias, CEO of IMC, told The Technology Times that the car's arrival, "is indeed a great milestone, not only in the history of IMC, but, of the entire nation." Pakistan Today says that IMC is beefing up the ground clearance of the imported Priuses and adds a "robust suspension system." Why would this be important? Well, the US Department of State warns travelers to beware of crowded roads, aggressive and poorly trained drivers and bad roads that could include potholes and sharp drop-offs. Then there's the "donkeys, cattle, horse carts, and even the occasional camel [that] can pose roadside hazards in some areas." There's also the big problem of terrorism-related violence in Pakistan, but we haven't heard that the Pakistan Prius has been bullet- and shrapnel-proofed.

Toyota JPN Taxi Concept is a Japanese riff on an English classic

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

As far as beasts of burden go, New York City's new - and much maligned - Nissan NV200 "Taxi of Tomorrow" isn't a bad one. It's space efficient, reasonably economical, and its simple construction should mean it's pretty robust over the long haul, too. But it lacks panache and a sense of occasion - let alone a sense of humor - three things this this Toyota JPN Taxi Concept we found at the Tokyo Motor Show has in spades.
Unfortunately, that's about all the information we have on this cheeky London-taxi-inspired showcar. Toyota hasn't provided much in the way of details, other than to proclaim that the five-seat JPN was "created with Japanese hospitality in mind" and it "aims to enliven city streets." Japan's livery landscape has long been occupied by traditional three-box sedans - models like the Toyota Crown and Nissan Cedric. The JPN Taxi at just over 171 inches would appear to offer both a tighter footprint and added whimsy, both of which are in the automaker's favor; we hear it hopes this concept will one day become the country's own version of America's yellow Crown Vic cab.
Toyota isn't providing powertrain specifications, but we like the airy feeling of the interior (Japanese cabs typically don't have cumbersome partitions between cabbie and passengers), the minimalist driver area with three screens, and the widescreen overhead video system for passengers that bookends the panoramic moonroof.
