Im selling My 1987 Toyota Pickup 4x4 straight axle, 4- cylinder 22R with 5- speed transmission... base model with no options... This is not a show truck and is as basic as you can go.. The only thing left on the 87 is the cab, everything else came from 1985 Toyota Hilux imported abroad.. Currently has 105k on odometer... Dash has cracks on it.. normal for 27 year old vehicle.. Interior is very clean for age and well taking care of. A small rip on driver side cushion.... its not even where you sit on.. see pic.. small rust spot on side of bed see pictures.. Under the hood there is only one fan belt... it comes with a cassette AM FM radio a cab heater.. crank windows, rear sliding glass.. even tail gate has old fashion heavy duty side latch.. no carpet just vinyl so you can hose it off if you like... It leaks a little bit of oil from behind the engine not enough to mark in ground.... I bought this truck in April and added One quart of oil yesterday 5/23/13.. About 500 miles i put on it.. when you first start it, blueish gray smoke comes out, but stops showing signs of smoke after that. the only reason im selling is because my mothers home got foreclosed and added expenses she cant afford... Since this is my secondary vehicle it must go to help out.. Overall very soild desert truck..99% rust free..there is a little rust spot on the side of bed see pictures... This truck still runs strong i got it up to 90 MPH on the interstate. Running 53 to 59 the truck shakes alot but once you run slower then 53 or faster than 60mph if stops the shaking... The truck runs and drives great though it will need tires they are 215/75/15R . There is no spare tire or tool and needs a battery holder and will need a paint job if you want. Its fine with me (clear coat is cracking).... i have a clear New Mexico title.. Will sell as-is where is.. NO WARRANTY ITS 27 YEARS OLD so please do not assume anything please ask... Buyer is responsible for shipping registration, taxes, fees, and emmisions due in their own respective state... It has to be fully paid before truck can be released, no exceptions.. Call for more information...5o5-9o3-l232

2014 Toyota Corolla to bow before LA
Sat, 30 Mar 2013We've sort of been wondering when Toyota would finally debut the next-generation Corolla sedan, especially since the current car is getting very, very long in the tooth. We got a glimpse of the new compact's design at this year's Detroit Auto Show in the form of the Furia concept seen above, but we figured we'd see the production car by now.
According to Edmunds, Toyota will be unveiling the new Corolla sometime soon, and it won't wait until the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Officials from the Japanese automaker did not state a specific location or date for the new car's unveiling, but said that the 2014 Corolla is expected to be on sale before the LA expo later this year and that it will be revealed "somewhere in the US."
Toyota did not divulge any details about the new Corolla, and we're willing to bet that the aggressive lines of the Furia concept will be dulled down quite a bit for the production model. Still, news that the new car is coming sooner rather than later is indeed a good thing.

Tue, 30 Jul 2013Raising A White Flag To The Competition
We all benefit from highly competitive battles. In the automotive sector, few campaigns are so closely fought as the decades-long struggle for supremacy in the fullsize half-ton pickup truck segment. The Ford F-150 has dominated for ages, but Chevrolet, Ram and GMC have been closing the gap with freshly redesigned trucks that are rocking the industry.
Today's half-ton trucks are better than they've ever been, and we have fierce competition to thank for that.
Spongebob Squarepants Toyota Highlander gets Tanked in Vegas
Thu, 07 Nov 2013In 2006, I bought a Scion xB (the super upright, first-generation one), and I always had this wild dream of turning the xBox into an aquarium after it had run its course in my personal test fleet. Long story short, that never happened. But apparently the folks at Toyota got wind of my idea - only, well, this isn't exactly what I had in mind.
Let's just start at the beginning here. This is a 2014 Toyota Highlander - you know, the redesigned one that bowed in New York earlier this year. I haven't driven it yet, but I'm sure it's plenty nice and will appeal to all sorts of families. Families with kids. Kids who like cartoons. Cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants.
Which brings me to our next talking point: the collaboration between Toyota and Nickelodeon for the Spongebob-themed wrap that covers every inch of this Highlander. This isn't the first time we've seen the yellow cartoon sponge on a Highlander - Toyota unveiled a differently wrapped version earlier this year - but this one features more of an aquatic, under-the-sea sort of theme. Perfect, considering the main point of this crossover's reason for being at SEMA.
