2012 Toyota Tacoma Base Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 2.7l on 2040-cars
Alpharetta, Georgia, United States
I am not joking - this one was seriously driven by a little old lady... my 80 year old mom. Seriously. She bought it in 2012 so that she could pick up pine-straw for use in her garden, but they have only driven it 2183 miles in those two years. It has still had it's oil changed 4 times (every 6 months), even though it doesn't need it based on mileage. Very good condition in and out.
I have finally convinced her that she doesn't need it any more and it is too much of a headache to pay the taxes and insurance and oil changes. It doesn't have power windows or power locks (which I am as surprised as you that they even make cars like this) but it does have AC, auto transmission, CD / MP3, etc... Feel free to contact me with any questions, or if you want any more detailed pictures of any areas. Listed price is based on truecarsell valuation, but feel free to value it yourself and make a best offer. You can come see it in Alpharetta, Georgia if you are nearby. Ready to sell right away. |

BMW-Toyota sports car heading towards Tokyo debut
Mon, 20 May 2013Earlier this year, BMW and Toyota confirmed a four-part joint venture mostly focusing on increasing improving vehicle efficiency using fuel cells, lightweight materials and better battery technology. Also tucked into the announcement was a "feasibility study" for a shared platform to underpin a future midsize "sports vehicle."
In terms of the latter, it seems that things have stepped up from the feasibility stage to the conceptual stage, as Motor Trend reports we could see a pair of new sports car concepts debut later this year in at the Tokyo Motor Show. There isn't much information about the new program, but the article suggests the sports cars could be all-wheel drive hybrids, with electric motors powering the front wheels and a gas engine powering the rear wheels. While a partnership between Toyota and BMW might not lend itself to a catchy portmanteau like "Toyobaru," here's hoping it will bear fruit that is as exciting as the ones produced by the Toyota/Subaru tie up.

Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?
Wed, 13 Mar 2013According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. While he didn't say exactly what Toyota and BMW are up to, it's clear the two are looking into a number of possibilities. It's an interesting read with a lot of
