I am the original owner of this 2008 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner with TRD Sport package. Clean title, no crashes. New oem model Bridgestone tires, new battery, Pioneer navigation/DVD unit with bluetooth capabilities. It is in great shape but has characteristics of a 5 year old truck such as a few rock chips & small scratches. All small scratches will buff out, nothing serious. There is a small dent in the rear bumper that you can see in the picture where I lightly bumped into a light pole in a store parking lot. Interior is clean and in good shape. Truck has never been smoked in. Overall, it's a nice used truck. As with most Toyotas, this truck runs like a champ with no problems and has a ton of life left in it. I've never towed anything other than a boat twice. 5600 lb towing capacity. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will also send specific pics of areas if you need them.
Paypal deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close. Remaining balance must be paid in cash or with cashier's check and truck or title will not be released until funds have cleared. I do owe a small amount to my bank on the truck but credit union and title are local. |

Toyota to drop regular-cab Tacoma as small pickups take another hit
Fri, 02 Aug 2013Even as General Motors prepares to redesign its midsize pickups, the market for sub-fullsize trucks continues to shrink. The remaining competitors in the segment are the well-aged Nissan Frontier, Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tacoma, and now Truck Trend is reporting that the latter will be dropping its regular cab model due to poor sales.
According to the article, the available configurations for the Tacoma lineup will be whittled down in 2015, which apparently spells the end for the two-door Taco. The Tacoma is currently the last truck in its class to be offered in a regular cab configuration, with the Frontier no longer offering a standard cab model and spy shots of the next-gen Chevrolet Colorado not revealing any glimpse of a short cab, either.
Ford Fusion production scaled back just 3 months after it was accelerated
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Three months after kicking off production of the Ford Fusion at its Flat Rock, MI factory, Ford Motor Company is taking steps to trim output in the face of heavily discounted competition from Toyota and a growing supply of vehicles.
The addition of Fusion production in Flat Rock - which also builds the Mustang - was meant to be what pushed the handsome mid-sizer past its arch-nemesis, the Toyota Camry. An extra facility building Fusions was also meant to curb the growing demand for Ford's highly profitable sedan.
But with word that Flat Rock would take "approximately" one extra week off for the holidays combined with an 88-day supply of Fusions - reportedly due in no small part to what Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas called "aggressive discounting of the Camry" - some analysts are now beginning to wonder if Ford may have overextended itself by adding a second Fusion facility to the mix.
Lexus eschews production in China over quality concerns

Mainstream manufacturers like Ford, General Motors and Volkswagen have done it, and even luxury marques like Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have or will soon have manufacturing ops in the People's Republic.
One company that isn't building cars in China, though, is Lexus. The Toyota-owned luxury brand still manufactures all of its vehicles in Japan (aside from a few RXs, which are built at a Toyota factory in Canada). According to Tokuo Fukuichi, Lexus just isn't ready to build cars there yet.
"The German Three have a brand image that they have cultivated over the past century in their long history, but Lexus is not in people's minds like that yet," Fukuichi-san told Reuters UK.
