2003 Toyota Tacoma Xtracab Sr5 3.4l V6 4wd Trd Off-road 5-speed Manual E-locker! on 2040-cars
Washington, Missouri, United States
NO RESERVE. The truck is a 2003 Toyota Tacoma XtraCab, 3.4 Liter V6, Limited, SR5 Package, TRD Off-Road Package, 4x4, 5-Speed Manual Transmission, and Electronic Locking Rear Differential. Options include power windows, power locks, power steering, power mirrors, cruise control, ice cold A/C, adjustable tilt steering wheel, AM/FM CD player with cassette, sliding rear window, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS), dual airbags, alloy wheels, keyless entry with 2 key fobs, factory Toyota alarm, rear sliding window, custom fit WeatherTech floor mats, SR5 Package, TRD Off-Road Package (Toyota Racing Development), electronic locking rear differential, Bilstein shock absorbers, 4x4, spray in bed liner (Rhino Liner), K&N Intake, SnugTop Mid-High ("Sport Hi-Liner") Camper Shell (color matched exactly with factory Toyota paint), heavy-duty Curt Manufacturing receiver hitch. Only 112,000 miles! New timing belt, water pump, and accessory belts installed by Toyota dealer at 91,280 miles (Routine Maintenance). This truck has also received new front brake pads at 101,720 miles. New O2 sensor at 110,713 miles. Recent battery, muffler, and spark plugs. A brand new factory Toyota paint matched SnugTop camper shell was purchased and professionally installed for $2107.78 on 5/25/2011. SnugTop camper shell features a mid-high roof, extra large sliding glass tinted windows with window screens, flip down and sliding glass in front, and is fully carpeted and dome lighted. Truck also has a Curt Manufacturing Class III receiver hitch installed. This truck is in Very Good Condition and has been very well maintained. All owners have been non-smokers. Truck has typical small scratches and very small dings here and there. There is a spot on the carpet under the rear floor mat on the driver's side where the previous owner spilled some bleach that melted the carpet (pictured with a quarter next to it for size reference). It's not noticeable with the floor mats installed and I didn't even know it was there until I was installing the WeatherTech floor mats (previous owner didn't mention it). Cruise control works perfectly, AC blows ice cold, 3.4L V6 engine runs great, and 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly. Electronic locking differential works perfectly, as does the 4WD. Truck has been extremely reliable. When I was buying the truck, I ran an AutoCheck Vehicle History Report and discovered that there had been a clerical error when the previous owner was transferring the title from a Colorado title to a Missouri title. The clerk entered 33143 miles instead of 53143 miles. All of the receipts at the time of title transfer including the "Original Motor Vehicle Title Receipt" clearly state 53143 miles, but when then typed up the official title, they messed up. I went to the DMV to get this error fixed, but they can't change it once it's been entered in their system, so she made a note in the system that it was a clerical mistake. Unfortunately, it shows up as "Possible Odometer Rollback/Rollover" in the AutoCheck Vehicle History Report. I will include all supporting documents and receipts with the vehicle. Why are we selling? My wife, my 2-year old son, and I are moving out of state and we currently own 4 vehicles including a 2010 Subaru Forester and a 2008 Mercedes van. We need to sell 2 of our vehicles. Our van and Subaru Forester are better suited for our growing family. The KBB (Kelly Blue Book, kbb.com) values the truck without the SnugTop camper shell at $12,174. The camper shell was purchased for $2107.78 in May of 2011 and is in excellent condition. I've set the starting bid at $11,900 and there is NO RESERVE!!! Good Luck! If you are flying into St. Louis to pick up this truck, I can meet you at the airport and you can drive it home. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this truck across the country. It is an extremely reliable truck. Cash (in person) or Cashier's Check. Here's the cost of some of the factory options:

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.
Toyota launches BMW-powered Verso in Europe
Tue, 03 Dec 2013BMW makes some sweet-revving engines, but its own vehicles aren't the only ones running BMW engines. So do the latest from Rolls-Royce and Mini, of course, as well as a handful of Peugeots and Citroëns thanks to its joint engine program with PSA. Wiesmann uses BMW engines, as did the famous McLaren F1. And now we can add one more to the list.
That would be the Toyota Verso, a Corolla-based minivan which Toyota builds in Turkey and sells in Europe and a few other markets overseas. The Verso is also now officially the first beneficiary of the partnership between Toyota and BMW as the Japanese automaker has released the MPV with BMW's 1.6-liter turbodiesel four.
The 111-horsepower engine is coupled to a Toyota transmission and joins the Verso range as the fourth (and least powerful) engine in the lineup, alongside the 122hp 2.0 diesel and the gasoline options with 1.6 liters and 160 hp and 1.8 for 180. Future collaborations between the two automakers will include fuel-cell development, a new joint sportscar platform, lightweight bodywork research and a new generation of lithium-air batteries. See the press release below for further details.
Toyota headed to New York with 2014 Highlander, revised Scion tC
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Toyota has given us a look at what the company will bring to the 2013 New York Auto Show. Visitors will get to set their eyes upon the all-new 2014 Highlander, and while the automaker isn't saying much in the way of details, we do get the teaser you see above (click to enlarge) to ponder on until next week. The image shows little more than a headlamp and a bit of grille, but gives us the flavor of what the crossover will bring to the table.
Scion, meanwhile, says it plans to dust off the "new 2014 tC sports coupe." While we don't imagine the two door will have undergone a major surgery, we're interested to see what the automaker has cooked up. The tC last endured a redesign in 2011. Check out the brief press release below and look for the vehicles to bow on March 28.Y
