I am selling my beloved Tacoma in order to trim the herd a bit. It's a 2003 Double Cab with a full bed liner, locking rear differential, A/C, power windows and locks, decent front tires with brand new rear tires. It has a high end cold ram air intake but is otherwise bone stock. This is a push button on the fly 4 wheel drive SR5 with factory tow package. It has factory alloy wheels and a Leer topper. The front end has seen new lower ball joints and tie rod ends in the past year and drives straight and true. It has a few small blemishes (bumper scratch type) and otherwise looks beautiful. A/C blows cold (don't need it today) and the heater blows nice and warm. No fluid leaks that I've ever noticed and is ready to go.

Judge halts Toyota unintended acceleration cases, triggers time for settlement negotiations
Mon, 16 Dec 2013So far, the lawsuits brought forth against Toyota for unintended acceleration have gone both ways: the automaker was found not at fault in a 2009 California crash and liable for a 2007 crash in Oklahoma. Both cases involved a Camry and resulted in fatalities. With a big chunk of these UA cases (around 200) set to his the docket of US District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana, California, Bloomberg is reporting that the judge has halted the lawsuits until March after Toyota and its lawyers have had extra time to try and settle the cases.
According to the article, Toyota is looking to take care of the cases out of court with an "intensive settlement process." Having already paid out $1.6 billion in "economic loss" suits, this latest settlement process is aimed at the wrongful death and personal injury cases allegedly associated with unintended acceleration. A hearing for the settlements will be held on January 14 with conferences on the matter commencing in February. There is no word as to when lawsuits may start back up if settlements can't be agreed upon.

This is an actual ram, as in a male sheep, headbutting the hell out of a Toyota Camry that made the unfortunate decision to interrupt its battle with a rival member of the flock. Now, before you say, "How dare that Camry harm that cuddly sheep," we'd like to point out just how viciously the two males were fighting before the Toyota butted in. And after smashing the driver's side front fascia, the ram goes right back to attempting to beat down its opponent. All things considered then, we'd call this Ram: 1, Camry: 0.
Unifor may establish local union for Toyota's Canadian plants
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Union tactics apparently translate across borders, as Canada's Unifor may take inspiration from the United Auto Workers' recent move at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga, TN, and establish a local for the Toyota factories in Cambridge and Woodstock.
Unifor last attempted to organize the workers at the two factories, which are responsible for production of the Toyota Corolla (above), RAV4 and Lexus RX back in April, but that vote was eventually delayed. According to that report, 3,000 of the two plants' 7,500 employees signed union cards, but that apparently wasn't enough for Unifor to force a vote.
Because of this, the union is looking at the local approach, like what the UAW is attempting with VW.
