I am looking to buy a full size pickup for wood/water hauling, towing, and building purposes, otherwise I would not be letting this Tacoma go.  The truck is being re-listed at a lower price, as I am sure this is the right rig for someone out there.  There are some other nice Tacomas out there and this truck at this price is very competitive.  Thanks for looking.

Truck is for sale with the following extras:

Yakima towers, load bars, and two Copperhead trays (all with locks and keys).
10 inch Peak Audio subwoofer with box, Lightning Audio amp, Kenwood deck (with aux jack), and new door, tweeter, and rear speakers.

Leer shell with new, strong lifts, sliding rear windows, interior light (currently not working), and carpeted ceiling and walls.
ARB bumper and Hella fog lights.

Power windows, locks, cruise control, and mirrors all work. Recently re-charged A/C blows cold and heat is hot. Glass is intact and interior is nearly perfect. Bed has been Rhino Lined. A new starter was installed in July 2013.  Timing belt was replaced at 99,923 miles.  Oil, filter, and all fluids have been changed per manufacturer recommendations, and no additional work has been necessary. Truck was recently detailed and the interior is extremely clean with no tears or stains on the carpet or upholstery.  The engine compartment is clean and there are no leaks at all.  The 4 wheel drive is perfect and transfer case shifts smoothly and quietly.  This truck starts every time with no hesitation in all conditions.  Clean and clear NM title for easy sale and transfer.

The truck has the stock Toyota tow package with a class V hitch (6,000 lb maximum) and 7-way connector (fully operational).

This Tacoma has been absolutely bomber in all ways and will continue to be for many more miles. It has clearly benefited from solid maintenance. Please note that all badging has been stripped off, and grille and ARB bumper have been recently painted matte black. This is the 4x4 SR5 V6 Automatic and is not the TRD edition. Wheels are sound and look good, but do have some clear coat damage.

Give me a call with any questions.

    2014 Toyota 4Runner

    Fri, 02 Aug 2013

I recently took the redesigned 2014 Toyota 4Runner for a muddy romp in Pennsylvania. While the mechanical bits and pieces beneath the body-on-frame SUV trudge forward into the new model year with very few tweaks, the truck "receives a rugged new exterior design and interior refinements that add comfort and convenience without sacrificing its hallmark performance capability and excellent value," says the automaker.
A quick visual scan of the 4Runner reveals a new front end with a more "aggressive" and "muscular" appearance (yes, I'm quoting Toyota) that includes new headlights, grille and hood scoop. A roof rack is now standard across all trims, too. While SR5 and Trail grades have a bland color-keyed grille insert that gives the face a monochromatic appearance, the range-topping Limited (shown above and in our gallery) snarls with a silver-plated chin that gives it a bit more character.
New soft-touch surfaces within the cabin provide a more upscale environment and a bright new Optitron instrument panel improves readability and functionality. As before, the SR5 and Trail models arrive with fabric upholstery or optional Softex seats (synthetic leather). Genuine hides are reserved for the Limited trim, which is also fitted with Toyota's unique X-REAS (X-Relative Absorber System) automatic suspension system as standard equipment.

BMW, Toyota outline new tech joint venture, new sports car

    Fri, 25 Jan 2013

Back in June, Toyota and BMW announced a "memorandum of understanding" outlining plans for the two companies to join forces on future products and technology development. On Thursday, they signed a more formal and binding agreement that goes further into detail about the partnership, and it all sounds pretty exciting. The two announced they will work together in four main areas:
Joint development of a fuel cell system
"Set up a feasibility study to define a joint platform concept for a mid-size sports vehicle"

Toyota preparing Scion-badged Nissan Juke fighter

    Thu, Aug 20 2015

As we've said on multiple occasions, the sub-compact crossover market is The Next Big Thing™. With that in mind, Toyota's lack of a competitor to the new breed of super-small, super-cute crossovers like the Nissan Juke, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and Jeep Renegade has been especially glaring. But as these photos show, the hole in the Japanese giant's lineup could soon be filled. Our spies captured this heavily disguised prototype testing in the deserts of the American southwest, signaling that Toyota is preparing to wade into the Nissan Juke's space by offering a tiny, but very heavily styled crossover of its own. Our spy photographers call the cute ute's look "aggressive," citing inspiration from the Toyota C-HR concept from the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Based on the meaty wheels and tires and what we can see through the camo, we're inclined to agree with their assessment. Underneath that sheet metal, we're told the new car rides on Toyota's new NGA platform. Like the Juke, a four-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission will be on offer, although there's no telling whether Toyota will follow its rival's enthusiast beat and offer a six-speed manual version. What we find most interesting about all of this conjecture, though, is what it means for Scion, rather than its parent. Introducing a small crossover is the next logical step for Toyota's troubled sub-brand, and would serve as a delectable followup to the recently released iA sedan and iM hatch. Such a three-model lineup, when combined with the enthusiast-oriented FR-S, would transform Scion into a force to be reckoned with in the entry level space. Supporting this conjecture isn't too hard, either. As the spy photos show, this camo'd tester is being supported by a xB, the closest thing Scion (or its parent company, for that matter) have to a sub-compact CUV. It's unclear just when this new model will make its debut, but if Toyota hopes to make inroads into this popular new segment, this CUV will need to arrive before its extremely competent rivals can establish a solid foothold.
