2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extended Cab
Only 82K
Extra Clean- Well Kept "
5-Speed

This is very well cared for 2001 Toyota Tacoma Extended-cab 4x4 with only 82K. These trucks are very hard to find with a 100 or 200 thousand miles. We purchased this truck directly from the the second owner who was a retired Air Force Pilot, He had bought the truck from a Toyota Dealer in the state of Washington as a Certified Used Vehicle. They did get transfered a few times, however the truck spent most of its life in South Carolina (last 6-7 years) and was always garaged and well serviced. This truck comes with a clean Autocheck (No Accidents).

The Inerior: is in very very good condition. Non-Smoker car therefore no burns or other wear on the seats or carpet. It has a 5-Speed manual transmission tat shifta smooth and the clutch is firm and releases where it should. It also has ice cold A/C, Factory Stereo, Cruise Control, and all options work as they should.

The Exterior: is in very good condition as well. There is no damage or rust on the truck maybe a few nicks and scratches that you would expect for a truck this age you have to get very close to see any. As I said it was always garaged so the paint has nice depth and shine. It also has the Factory upgraded Wheels with good tires that do give the truck a rugged and tough look, but everything is stock. It has had the frame check and was fine, however it is still under warranty through 2015 (I have the letter from Toyota that will go with the Truck. The bed of the truck has a spray in bedliner that looks great and protects aginst damage, this bed has been used very little.

This truck is ready to go it had the full 65K service and the regular oil changes since. As a matter of fact he drove the truck so little that he would have the oil changed because it had been six monthes and he had only driven it a couple hundred miles.  It has the 2.7L. with the 5_speed manual transmission witch is a great combination it still has plenty of power and tork, yet gets resonably good mileage.

As stated these trucks are very hard to find with this low mileage, this condition, and with the Extra Cab and 4x4. But you know that if you have been looking.

Toyota's Psy-style Waku-Doki ad inherits Japan's bizarre ad crown

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

A new Japanese Toyota ad featuring crisply suited businessmen driving into the jungle only to segue into a Psy-style music-video dance-off with a gorilla and natives is the latest car commercial to go viral. Jungle Wakudoki is the newest installment in a grand tradition of bizarre ads from the island nation that are by turns hilarious, head-scratching and occasionally even frightening.
Let's face it: My people are weird.
I'm half-Japanese and take suitable pride in my Asian roots, but even I can't figure out what's been slipped into the water coolers of the country's ad agencies much of the time - or the nation at large, for that matter. From Japan's ubiquitous obsession with all things adorable (kawaii) to its offbeat sense of humor and its bizarrely perverse and violent tentacle porn, it's clear there's a lot going on in the culture, and only some of it bubbles up to the surface in its marketing efforts. Much of the strangest and most amazing ads are for non-transportation products (e.g. laundry soap, snacks, energy drinks), but the automotive space has its fair share. This latest Toyota ad had me trawling YouTube for a common theme, trying to make sense of why these spots are the way they are. Scroll down to watch the Toyota ad in question as well as a bunch of other examples of Japan's most bizarre car-related ads and see if you can't find the thread that runs between them. Is it just that something's being lost in translation? Have your say in Comments.

Will Toyota lose up to 70% of its workforce in TX relocation?

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

Toyota's decision to move its US headquarters from its longtime home in Torrance, CA, to Plano, TX, was one of the biggest stories in the automotive industry this spring. With several months since the announcement, more details about the plan have leaked out. It seems that pulling up stakes could mean an even larger shakeup in the Toyota workforce than first thought.
According to Automotive News, Toyota intends to hang onto around 50 percent of its workforce in the move to the Lone Star State. However, even that figure might be optimistic. According to an unnamed insider speaking to AN, there is a fear the actual number could be closer to 30 percent. For comparison, Nissan retained about 42 percent of its workers in its move from California to Tennessee.
The actual percentage making the move is a mystery because Toyota is still rewriting its job descriptions under a single set of guidelines. The changes affect benefits, bonuses and the reporting structure, according to Automotive News, and employees' reactions could play a big role in who decides to go. According to an unnamed worker speaking to AN, the wait is hurting morale. Some people are even applying at the nearby Honda headquarters.

Toyota raises Japanese base wages for first time since 2008

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Toyota is on track for record profits, and in return, its Japanese workers are receiving their first increase in base wages since 2008, plus higher pay based on seniority and a larger bonus for 2014. The Japanese automaker predicts the average laborer will net a 2.9 percent income gain.
The average Toyota employee will earn 2,700 yen ($26.28) more each month, a 0.8 percent increase from last year. Workers will also receive about 7,300 yen ($71.09) more monthly based on seniority and promotions. Finally, the company's union pushed through a median bonus of 2.44 million yen ($23,768) for 2014, the highest in 6 years.
The pay boost comes as Toyota forecasts a record 1.9-trillion yen ($18.5 billion) profit for the fiscal year ending on March 31, according to Bloomberg. It has been helped by the Japanese government's efforts to weaken the yen on international markets and expand inflation. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been asking businesses to increase compensation to end years of deflation and offset upcoming higher sales taxes. Honda and Nissan have also raised their wages there in recent months.
