I have owned this vehicle for 12 years (bought in 2001) and it has been a great truck. I was in the military when I bought it and purchased it from the original owner in Cherry Point, NC and it had 100K on it. I would drive it from NC to IL and up until this month would drive it from IL to Baltimore, numerous times. I had to replace the engine at 141K because of a ignorant mistake (ask if need to know more). For the last 6 years I have done all my own major repairs with assistance of my uncle. Last summer I had to replace the head gasket. I also dropped the transmission and replaced the clutch and rear main seal. I replaced the water pump. The major problem with currently is that when I was going to replace the fuel filter my thermostat failed on me as I was driving and because it usually runs hot (up to the top white line) before the thermostat kicks on and the temp drops I didnt think anything of it until it kept rising. I was able to stop and get antifreeze in it before the needle got into the red but I must not have been able to take care of it in time because now I have Antifreeze mixing with my oil. It has set for about a week and it is still getting antifreeze in the oil. If I wasnt in Baltimore and back home when this happened I would fix it and keep driving it because the rest of the truck is completely reliable and I never hesitated to take it out for a 13 hour drive. The 4 wheel drive works great. I replaced the exhaust a few months ago. I have replaced the front brake pads and rotars within a year. I am not really sure what else to give as far as a description goes so if you have any questions please ask.

I am selling it "AS - IS", no returns or warranty.

You will be responsible for coming to pickup the truck. You will need a trailer because even though it will start up and run, there is a problem with the engine and you will not be able to drive it very far.

Recharge Wrap-up: 10-year sentence for biodiesel fraudsters, overhead fast charging EV buses in Luxembourg

Thu, Nov 10 2016

Toyota will use addressable TV advertising to target potential Prius Prime customers. By choosing to advertise in households with specific attributes, Toyota hopes to grab the attention of buyers who "see their vehicle as an extension of their consumption of advanced technology," according to Toyota Motors Sales media manager Lisa McQueen. The ad depicts a person who is skeptical of various inventions throughout history until he finds himself inside the Prius Prime. Hyundai has also used addressable TV ads for its Genesis brand. Read more at Automotive News. Two Florida men have each been sentenced to over 10 years in prison for biodiesel credit fraud. Thomas Davanzo and Robert Fedyna of Gen-X Energy Group and its subsidiary Southern Resources and Commodities were convicted of buying fuel that had already been sold with Renewable Identification Numbers, then fraudulently claiming more credits on that fuel. The scheme raked in more than $46 million, mostly in selling the fraudulent credits. Critics of the Renewable Fuel Standard point to incidents like this as a reason to oppose the program. Read more from Reuters. Volvo electric buses in Luxembourg will use Heliox Fast Charge systems. Public transport operator Sales-Lentz has ordered three of the Heliox systems that will charge the buses using pantograph (overhead wire) contacts. The chargers will be placed at end-of-route stops for opportunistic charging of the transport agency's four Volvo 7900 electric buses. The 450-kW, Wi-Fi-enabled OppCharge system automatically connects the charger to contact plates on the roofs of the vehicles, charging them in three to six minutes. Read more at Green Car Congress. How new car shortages may impact your buying experience

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

If you want further proof that the auto industry is bouncing back, look no further than the empty lots and forecourts of your local dealership. According to a story by The Wall Street Journal, continued high demand for mainstream cars is overtaxing automakers' ability to produce enough models. Several dealers interviewed for the story are reporting two-week supplies as opposed to the typical two-month allocations.
With sales expected to hit 1.4 million units when August numbers arrive shortly and incentive spending down to its lowest amount since January, these limited supplies are pushing prices even higher. For example, according to the WSJ, the average price of a Ford Fusion is up past $26,000. Unfortunately, it's difficult for manufacturers to increase production quickly. If it invests in its facilities, as many manufacturers have done, it risks wasting cash if growth suddenly slows. At the same time, the momentum gained over the past several years could be short lived if vehicle supplies continue to dwindle. "Manufacturers are in a precarious situation," notes Karl Brauer, a senior director at Kelley Blue Book.
Low interest rates and a wealth of desirable features are also allowing customers to purchase more expensive vehicles while justifying their higher overall price tags, a situation that is compounding supply shortages. Even now, during the annual end-of-summer clearance season, deals on new vehicles are remarkably difficult to come by. According to the report, the Toyota Corolla is in a self-inflicted state of shortage, as Toyota clears out inventory in anticipation of the new 2014 generation arriving in dealers. Ford's supplies should rebound as Fusion production comes on line at its Flat Rock, Michigan factory. The Chevrolet Impala, Honda Odyssey, Civic, and Accord and Subaru Forester are also facing shortages.

Unifor may establish local union for Toyota's Canadian plants

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

Union tactics apparently translate across borders, as Canada's Unifor may take inspiration from the United Auto Workers' recent move at the Volkswagen factory in Chattanooga, TN, and establish a local for the Toyota factories in Cambridge and Woodstock.
Unifor last attempted to organize the workers at the two factories, which are responsible for production of the Toyota Corolla (above), RAV4 and Lexus RX back in April, but that vote was eventually delayed. According to that report, 3,000 of the two plants' 7,500 employees signed union cards, but that apparently wasn't enough for Unifor to force a vote.
Because of this, the union is looking at the local approach, like what the UAW is attempting with VW.
