1994 Toyota Supra

The best of the best has been contributed to the preservation and restoration of this beautiful Supra.  These cars are legendary and quickly becoming collectors items.  To find one in this condition is extremely rare.  Thousands upon thousands of dollars have been spent on the interior, paint, engine and various upgrades.  This Supra is equally as stunning in person as seen in the photos.  I will list a few of the details about this Supra below.  I do have an itemized list of mechanical details I am happy to email upon request.

  • Never been in an accident.  Never had any rust issues.  Clean Carfax.
  • The paint and body are absolutely flawless.  This deep shade of red is gorgeous on the car.  The car has '98 headlights and taillights, Stillen nose and new Supra red paint in show condition.
  • The interior is a knockout job.  All new Katskin true leather interior.  New carpet, trim panels and floormats.  Nothing spared.  Aftermarket Momo steering wheel.  The original steering wheel is with the car.  New rubber seals on everything, including the targa top.
  • Like new low profile 19" tires on Racing Hart Wheels.  New HKS racing shocks.
  • This Supra is an original twin turbo car.  It has been upgraded to a single turbo by Sound Performance in Chicago.  The engine has approximately 1000 miles on it since completion.  It does produce over 600 horsepower at  the crank.  This Supra has been dyno tested to send 517 hp to the rear wheels on low boost.  Transmission is a level 3 automatic with a remote cooler built by Sound Performance.  The rear end is a TRD positive traction.  This Supra is very fun to drive around town averaging about 15 mpg.  When you decide to step on the gas, the accelaration of this Supra is unreal to even the most experienced drivers.  This car is Super, super fast.  Never raced.

Please email me if I can answer any further questions.  I would be willing to offer a "buy it now" price if you would like to contact me through email.  I will respond to intelligent offers and trade considerations.  Please contact me if you would like to bid on this car and do not have a PayPal account.

I can be reached directly at 828.713.9025

I WOULD CONSIDER AN INTERESTING TRADE

Toyota Harrier gets a whale of a facelift [w/video]

Thu, 21 Nov 2013

Historically, the Toyota Harrier has been a doppelgänger for North America's Lexus RX - at some points, it was little more than a badge-swap and a few options away, at least aesthetically. That appears to be changing with this just-revealed new generation at the Tokyo Motor Show.
That's because this two-row, five-seat Toyota is in possession of a bold new look, dominated by a jutting, baleen-like grille edged in chrome, along with new headlamps and fascia. The greenhouse has likewise been revamped and gotten more pointed at the rump, which has new taillights, a resurfaced tailgate and a faux rear diffuser. Were it to be ported over to North American Lexus dealers intact, the Harrier's look would be jarring in light of the brand's spindle-grille-based design language, so we suspect that if the RX gets any of these updates (it was just refreshed for 2013), it will strike out on a different path visually.
Unlike the US RX, the new Harrier will rely on smaller-displacement four-cylinder engines, namely a 2.0-liter paired with a continuously variable transmission or a 2.5-liter four backed up by an electric motor. We'd like to see a smaller-displacement option for the US RX (it presently runs with 3.5-liter V6 engines in both gas-only and hybrid guise), but suspect it won't arrive until the next all-new model.

2017 Toyota 86 Drivers' Notes | Fun, even with an automatic

Fri, Aug 25 2017

The Toyota 86 is a car that enthusiasts begged Toyota to build for decades. It's small, lightweight and rear-wheel drive. Thanks to a partnership with Subaru that resulted in the BRZ, this stylish coupe hit the streets in 2012. In the U.S., the car was originally known as the Scion FR-S but was rebadged as a Toyota after Scion was axed last year. Along with a new name, the 86 received updated styling both inside and out as well as a revised suspension and a slight bump in power, at least for the manual models. This Hot Lava-colored car doesn't feature Toyota's slick six-speed manual. Instead it rocks a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. While some enthusiasts may look down at that, automatics make up more than half of 86 sales. Still, the bones are there, and some people don't think the automatic is all that bad. Either way, we can't encourage enough people to buy these cars, as we want Toyota and Subaru to keep building them. Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: When I first slid behind the wheel of the 86, I was surprised to see the gear selector and paddles. It's one of those cars that you don't think of as having anything but a manual transmission. Also, in an interior where all the controls and displays are underwhelming, a set of paddle shifters stands out as one of the few tactile objects in the cabin. I ended up using the paddles quite a bit, and found that I actually enjoyed using them, so much so that I'd actually consider opting for the automatic transmission were I to buy an 86. Despite shifts that aren't as razor sharp as they could be, the car's high-revving engine means that it still feels great to use. Riding an engine like this up to its redline, filling the cabin with noise, is the sort of thing that'll give you goosebumps. Being able to keep both hands on the wheel while shifting is a good thing for engagement in this car, based on my time with it. Plus, when I got stuck in traffic, I didn't have to wear out my left leg. The other brilliant thing about the Toyota 86 is its sense of balance. I loved the way it communicated its load distribution when cornering, whether on or off the throttle or brake. The fact that the nose of this car snaps right to where you want it when you start dialing in steering angle is satisfying. And its low stance and good view out the windshield make it really easy to place on the road.

New drifting world record set in Toyota GT86

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

We have entered a drifting arms race. Last year, BMW smashed the Guinness World Record for the longest drift by hanging the tail out for 51.3 miles around a wet skid pad in an M5 at the BMW Performance Driving School in South Carolina. That beat the previous milestone of nearly seven miles. Now, Bimmer's record is up in smoke as well and is in the possession of a Toyota.
German driver Harald Müller pummeled the old record to drift for 89.55 miles around a 0.15-mile (235.5-meter) course in Samsun, Turkey, in a Toyota GT86 (or Scion FR-S as it's known in the US). According to the Guinness World Records website, it took him 612 laps and 2 hours, 25 minutes and 18 seconds to manage the achievement. Sit back to watch a few minutes of the German's two and a half hours behind the wheel with the tail out.
