1995 Alpine Silver Toyota Supra 6MT - Single Turbo Conversion

610 WHP

ONLY 2000 MILES SINCE BUILD

 photo 95Supra.jpg

I have receipts and documentation for everything done to the car.

I've tried to list everything but I'm sure there's some I've missed.

Feel free to call or text me with any questions.

Frank (850) 375-0399

As a Navy jet pilot I believe in the fundamental philosophy of over-engineering. This car is putting less than 1/3 of the potential horsepower down. The build did over 30 dyno runs problem free and is a verifiable beast.

I hate to let it go but I don't want to take it overseas or let it sit in storage or years. This car needs to be driven.

MOTOR/ DRIVETRAIN

"Kanoo" motor is designed for 1500+ HP and is a 9.5:1 motor designed for over 60 PSI of boost. The short block was built by Mark at Twins Turbo in California. They are known mostly for extreme Supra Turbo and Twin Turbo Viper solutions. They are sponsored in the Need for Speed series video games and their shortblocks resulted in the 6.5 second 1/4 mile passes run by internet sensation Ebrahim Kanoo.

The motor has good off boost characteristics with it's higher compression ratio and was designed with looser tolerances in mind to handle over 60 PSI of boost. Boost builds smoothly from 3500 RPMs due to the mid sized turbo and professional tuning from Induction Performance. The shifting it very crisp and the new TRD limited slip differential hooks like crazy.

TUNE

Professional Induction Performance Tune (AEM EMS Version 1) conservative dyno recorded 610 WHP @ 22 PSI

This car did 30 pulls on the dyno during tuning with no problems at all.

With a third pump and E-85 this car is capable of 900+ WHP

Alpha is the owner of Induction Performance and personal tuner of this vehicle. He has built and tuned 500-1500+WHP Supras in Tampa and has been flown to Qatar and Sydney to name a fee locations to tune everything from Supras to Twin Turbo Gallardos. The recommended oil weight is Royal Purple synthetic 20W50. Straight 50W was used for break-in and on the dyno for boost loading as recommended by the builder Mark.

2014 Toyota Tundra

Raising A White Flag To The Competition
We all benefit from highly competitive battles. In the automotive sector, few campaigns are so closely fought as the decades-long struggle for supremacy in the fullsize half-ton pickup truck segment. The Ford F-150 has dominated for ages, but Chevrolet, Ram and GMC have been closing the gap with freshly redesigned trucks that are rocking the industry.
Today's half-ton trucks are better than they've ever been, and we have fierce competition to thank for that.

Toyota asking NHTSA for waiver on 206K vehicles

Fri, 14 Mar 2014

Toyota has filed a petition with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration asking for a waiver to avoid recalling about 206,271 2012-2014 Camry, Avalon, Corolla, Sienna, Tundra and Tacoma vehicles, some of its most popular models. The affected vehicles contain seat heaters that might not meet government flammability standards. Toyota says in the waiver that "the chance of fire or flame induced by a malfunctioning seat heater is essentially zero," according to The Detroit News. The automaker notes the part makes up less than one percent of the seat's weight.
Initial reports of the problem arose in late January when Toyota issued a stop-sale order for 2013 and 2014 model year versions of those vehicles. The automaker says that there have no been reports of fires or injuries in the affected cars, and the problem was discovered during testing by the South Korean government, according to The Detroit News.
We've reached out to Toyota for comment on this development and are awaiting a reply. We'll update this post if and when we hear back.

Lexus Eco Challenge rewards schools for clean water, briquette press projects

Fri, Feb 28 2014

Teams from one New Jersey high school and one Michigan middle school reversed the old adage by thinking locally and acting globally. And that strategy won them the grand prizes in the most recent edition of the Lexus Eco Challenge. The future is indeed bright. The Toyota luxury-vehicle division gave out a half-million dollars in this year's contest. One $30,000 grand prize was awarded to the Pinelands Eco Scienteers from Little Egg Harbor, NJ, which produced and distributed low-cost briquette presses to rural villages beset by deforestation. The other grand prize went to the E.T. Electrical Team from Byron Center West Middle School in Michigan. That middle-school group raised money to send water filters to Haiti, Kenya and the Philippines. Lexus also awarded eight $15,000 first-place awards, with the winners including high schools from California, Florida, Missouri and Pennsylvania as well as middle schools from Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina and Texas. A special shout out goes to Daniel Boone Area High School in Birdsboro, PA, where students created an educational and public-relations campaign to publicize algae-based biofuels. In all, Lexus has doled out more than $4 million in Eco Challenge awards in seven years. Check out Lexus's press release below. Students Get Dollars and Sense in Lexus Eco Challenge - $500,000 Awarded to Teams Who Learn About Environment and Community Empowerment Two Grand Prize Teams Earn $30,000 Eight $15,000 First Place Awards Given to Innovative High School and Middle School Teams Students Bring Ideas to a Larger Audience and Make a Positive Impact on the World TORRANCE, Calif., (Feb. 24, 2014) – It's a win, win situation! Communities become a better place, and students, teachers and schools have the chance to share $500,000 in scholarships and grants through the Lexus Eco Challenge. This year, the $30,000 Grand Prize winners are the Pinelands Eco Scienteers from Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, and the E.T. Electrical Team from Byron Center, Michigan. The Lexus Eco Challenge is an educational program and contest that inspires and empowers young people to learn about the environment and take action to improve it. High school and middle school teams nationwide define an environmental issue that is important to them, develop an action plan to address the issue, implement the plan, and report on the results.
