Time to part with my 94 Supra turbo. Need to get something more practical for family. I am pricing aggressively, so this is one of the least expensive turbo Supras on the market. It is probably the best value of any on the market as well. This Supra is automatic, twin turbo, targa top, and black. This is an original USDM twin turbo car, not a swap. As you know, this car is super rare. It took me months to find. It has a good bit of BPU mods and is on original stock turbos. The HKS Fcon/VCC combo is very rare and has been tuned by Jestr/John from Titan Motorsports just recently. He flew in for a one day tuning session. Car made 398whp at only 14psi on 93 pump gas. Driven daily and garaged.
Mods include: HKS FCon Fuel Controller HKS VPC HKS GCC Greddy BCC Hallman Pro manual boost controller Front Mount Intercooler Greddy Recirc Valve (bypass/blowoff valve) HKS Super Drager catback Downpipe Custom intake with K&N filter Front strut bar TEIN Coilovers AEM wideband AFR gauge Autometer boost gauge Unknown front lip Blacked out emblems Wheels, I think 18x8 and 18x9 not sure brand or model (black paint chipping) 245/35/18 Continental Extreme Contact (just put on) 275/35/18 Dunlop SP Sport 8000 (probably 20% tread left) Android double din unit (awesome unit) Upgraded front/rear speaker Pioneer 10" sub in custom trunk enclosure SSL 400w 4 channel amp JL 360/2 amp (bridged for sub) HID kit LED headlight marker lights Recent Maintenance: Oil changed (10w40 Mobil 1 Syn with Power Enterprise oil filter) ATF changed Coolant changed Brake fluid changed Front wheel bearings replaced Fuel pump replaced Spark plugs changed (NGK one-step colder iridium) Headlights replaced when HIDs installed (old headlights were yellowed and foggy) Notes/Condition: The car is great overall, but trying to be as clear as possible on anything negative: Typical wear/condition for the age. Minor dings, etc. This car has had lots of owners, 12 according to carfax. I don't know the history of the car but it has been good to me. I just need to sell to get something more practical for family (truck, suv, etc). Front bumper emblem removed, but included. The front bumper is a bit loose at the driver's wheel well. The front bumper is cracked where it connects at the passenger fender/wheel well (not very noticeable). Bumper is still sturdy and looks good overall. Targa top rattles/squeaks sometimes, which is common in these cars. The top loosens itself a bit if you don't keep it tightened down regularly. Top still goes on and comes off without issue and I've never had it leak in the rain. The middle lock bolt is stripped out, but the four corner bolts are all good. I think the alternator just started going bad. I disconnected the audio amps and that helped. Car gets fluctuations while driving sometimes. I may replace the alternator, but you should assume it is coming as-is. There is a popping noise from the front driver side when coming to a stop sometimes. I've read it could be the motor mount. The front right brake caliper is painted silver for some reason. Car came to me like this. The carpet on the false floor for the sound system is wrinkled. The targa top holders are exposed, but there isn't enough room for the top to clip into place. It can still sit on the mounts pretty stable though. Wheels are painted black, but chipping. I have no idea what brand wheels these are. Just put front tires on, rears probably have 20% left. Leather is in very good shape considering age. Minor cracking, but overall very good. A/C and climate control work great. If you can come see the car in person, I am glad to meet up and let you check it out. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY. Clean title. No trades. No joyrides. Transaction to be completed in person. Car sold as-is.I owe a balance on this car. Transaction will be completed at my bank in person. They will process title to you. Car is for sale elsewhere, so I reserve right to end listing early and/or refuse sale. |

10 most memorable cars and SUVs of 2019
Tue, Dec 24 2019It's no surprise that a car reviewer will drive a large number of cars over the course of a year. Indeed, when the clock strikes midnight on Dec 31, I will have driven 75 new cars, trucks and SUV this year (and one old Peugeot) over the course of weekly evaluation loans and first drive events. That sure seems like a lot. Some definitely got more attention than others, and some came and went without leaving much of an impression – I completely forgot I drove a Kia Forte. Yet in the spirit of this day, I thought I'd pick the 10 that I would love to see under the Christmas tree tomorrow morning. You know, just in case you were looking to get me something. I'll also throw in a couple disappointments that were memorable for the wrong reasons. They'd get sent back to the store on Boxing Day. Lexus LC 500 Pictured below and resplendent in its Flare Yellow metallic paint, the car that would reach highest on my list is the divine Lexus LC 500. As a devout lover of GT cars, the LC ticks all the boxes. Muscular and characterful engine? V8, check. Beautifully made and memorable interior? It's gorgeous, to hell with Remote Touch. Check. Comfortable and reasonably practical? Superb seats and, uh, yeah. Makes me want to stand there and stare at it? You bet. Though I long figured my heart would say LC but my head "Porsche 911," after this go-around, that's no longer the case. LC, pretty please. 2020-lexus-lc500-f34-2 View 19 Photos Polestar 1 I actually feel lucky that I got to drive the Polestar 1. Only 150 will be produced each year, and it's a far more special thing than it would initially appear. And that's despite initially appearing to be a beautiful, classic two-door GT car with a roof so rakish it's only possible because it's made of carbon fiber. That itÂ’s a massively powerful plug-in hybrid with more all-electric range than any other PHEV is a thick dollop of whipped cream on a slice of Toscakaka. You know, Swedish dessert, Swedish car. Fine, I'll stick to Ikea references. Polestar1_Launch_SanFrancisco-0014 View 44 Photos Volvo V60 Cross Country Speaking of Sweden, did I drive this car off the road there? Sure did! And despite this, the V60 Cross Country scratches that certain wagon itch and looks sensational to boot. I wish it were available with the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, but it's best not to get greedy at Christmas.
Toyota highlights JDM Mark X with special Yellow Label edition
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Never heard of the Toyota Mark X? That's because the Japanese automaker only sells it in its home market (and in China as the Reiz). It's a rear-drive (or all-wheel-drive) sports sedan about the size of a Lexus IS, whose existence is probably why Toyota will never bring the Mark X to North America. The current model has been on the market since 2009, but Toyota is rolling out a series of updates - including the new Yellow Label model pictured here.
Available on the 250G, 250G Four and 250G S trim levels, the Yellow Label gets a special shade of Awaken Yellow paint (though it can be had in black, white or silver as well), with an interior decked out in either yellow or black. It also gets piano lacquer trim, yellow stitching, pink gold accents, special tread plates and other interior equipment upgrades, as well as a unique set of alloys. All of which makes the Toyota Mark X Yellow Label perfect for recreating scenes from Kill Bill without the need to squeeze into yellow leathers. (In fact we wouldn't be surprised to see Toyota doing just that for a promo clip.)
Power comes from a 2.5-liter V6 (and not the larger 3.5 available on the 350S model) channeled through a six-speed automatic to either the rear wheels or all four. Pricing ranges between 2.8 and 3.1 million yen (~$26-30k), representing a premium of about 106k yen ($1k) over non-yellow models. Toyota operates four distinct dealer networks in Japan, and the Mark X is sold through Toyopet stores.
Watch this video diary of a 900-hp Toyota Supra build
Sat, 08 Jun 2013If you've ever looked at a car with nearly 1,000 horsepower and wondered why anyone needs that amount of thrust, you may want to take a look at the video below. In it, one gentleman details his descent into Toyota Supra madness, starting with a pristine factory example and stumbling down the rabbit hole of modification. What makes this particular clip interesting is just how honest the owner is as he explains the evolution of his car. He doesn't just prattle off a list of parts like he's reading the menu at an IHOP.
Instead, he painstakingly pulls us through the car's growth, detailing each iteration and what pushed him to the next stage of the build every time. From this point of view, it looks less like someone walked into a shop and lit a massive stack of $100 bills on fire and more like a quasi-logical progression of events. Or at least it does to me. You can check out the build in the video below, complete with plenty of Fast and the Furious references and racing. Win, win, win.
