Up for sale is a 2 owner 1994 Original Twin Turbo 6 speed Supra.  It's red with black leather and has a targa top.  This supra has a very low original 55,200 miles.  I recently completed the 60k maintenance on the car before I listed it for sale which included timing belt, valve stem seals, waterpump, all new fluids, etc.  This supra runs and drives perfect with no issues.  No leaks, no smoking, no vibrations, just get in and drive.   It has the original paint which is in beautiful shape for being almost 20 years.  No accidents, all original vin stickers on body panels, no scratches, no dings.  There are just a handful of small chips which would be expected for a 20 year old car with original paint, none of them stand out unless a few feet away.  Interior is in great shape with no tears on the leather.  This supra has been a non smoker car all its life.

As for modifications, I recently installed a front mount intercooler, 3 inch stainless downpipe and catback, K&N intake, egr block off plates.   Its incredible the performance this supra gained by such small upgrades.  I am still running stock boost and the factory harness is untouched with no wiring adapters or boost controller.   I also installed a set of CCW SP500 19 inch wheels and Michelin sports tires. The factory suspension is in place with only some Eibach springs that lowered the car about 1 inch.   Rims are in great shape with no curb rash and tires have over 80 percent tread in front and 60 in the rear.   I also have all of the Factory parts to put it back to completely stock.  Stock intercooler, stock intake, EGR, Stock cats, stock catback, stock tt wheels.  Those parts can be included for an additional cost if the buyer is interested.  I can also negotiate a cheaper buy it now price if a buyer wants the car with only the stock parts.

It's getting very hard to find a supra with original paint that still looks perfect and still has the stock turbos.  These are the supras that will only go up in value.  Please give me a call if you have any questions and are a serious buyer.  801-940-3339

Toyota C-HR Concept is a high-riding hybrid hatch [w/video]

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Despite having the tendency to offer decidedly bland production cars, Toyota occasionally surprises us with interesting concept cars. Such is the case with the C-HR concept making its debut at the Paris Motor Show this week. It's a concept showing forward-thinking design that hints at "a type of crossover vehicle Toyota would like to bring to market," according to the automaker's release, and it rides on an all-new platform and uses a hybrid powertrain.
About that powertrain: Toyota isn't revealing anything, just saying that it will - brace yourselves - "deliver significantly improved fuel efficiency" (over what, exactly?) The car also uses a brand-new architecture, though it hasn't really revealed any major details about that aspect, either.
It's a high-riding, muscular thing, with a rakish hatchback shape. Should it reach production, Toyota says it would take the shape of a C-segment crossover. It'd be cool to see something like this hit the road someday, but for now, we won't hold our breath.

Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race Scion FR-S [w/video]

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Toyota has been hosting its Pro/Celebrity race at the Toyota Grand Prix on Long Beach since 1977. The charity event, which has raised millions of dollars over the years, traditionally pits Hollywood celebrities against professional athletes (including race car drivers) on the full Grand Prix course in modified street vehicles. The short, sprint-style race is popular with the crowds as the amateur drivers race uninhibited - the result is an action-packed race with plenty of excitement and automotive... er... carnage.
Over the decades, the drivers have raced a variety of Toyota products including last year's front-wheel-drive Scion tC. But this year, Toyota announced at the Chicago Auto Show that the new rear-wheel-drive Scion FR-S would be stepping up to the plate. The good news only became better when Toyota Motorsports invited us out to Southern California's Willow Springs Raceway (the same circuit where the drivers train and practice) to be one of the first behind the wheel.

Toyota GT86 convertible could debut in March

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

The dates are lining up, now we wait to see how the badges align. Just before the Toyota GT 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ line-up was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, there was a report that Subaru was considering a convertible while Toyota wouldn't even comment on it. That got swapped around when earlier this year the chief engineer on Toyota's side said a convertible was coming, and then a Scion FR-S droptop was confirmed for early 2014.
Autocar now reports that the Toyota GT 86 convertible will make its first appearance at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. In a car whose specs like weight, packaging, horsepower and center of gravity were all tightly controlled to get the most from the least, the changes necessitated by chopping the roof could make this a very different car. It's said to employ a fabric roof to keep a "small" weight gain check, and the suspension will be softened to work more harmoniously with the decreased body stiffness. And somewhere in all that the back seat and trunk space will need to take a hit.
In other news, Autocar says the hi-po GT 86 with some kind of capacitor system instead of batteries is being worked on for 2015.
