The body is finished in red and features a front lip spoiler, projector headlamps, a removable roof panel, a rear wing, a rear wiper, a retractable antenna, and an aftermarket exhaust system with a polished exhaust tip. The Carfax report shows an accident in May 1997 that resulted in damage to the left-front of the car. The selling dealer notes that the front bumper has been refinished.
Polished 17″ five-spoke wheels are wrapped in Nitto tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS.
The interior features beige leather on the front bucket seats with matching carpets and a black dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes cruise control, automatic climate control, an AM/FM stereo with cassette and CD players, and power-adjustable mirrors.
The airbag steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 80k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter 2JZ-GTE inline-six was rated at 320 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque when new. An aftermarket air intake is installed, and the removed air box is included in the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

2023 Japan Mobility Show Mega Photo Gallery: All the highlights and reveals from Tokyo

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86
Wed, 26 Jun 2013On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Toyota increasing Yaris Hybrid production to 222,000 this year in France
Mon, Feb 24 2014More fuel economy means more factory workers and more production for Toyota's most popular model in Europe. That simple equation explains why the Japanese automaker is boosting annual production of its gas- and hybrid-powered Yaris compact vehicles at its French factory. The new number will be about 222,000, a 15 percent increase. To do that, Toyota will need to add about 500 workers to bring its total there to more than 4,000, UK's The Green Car Website says. Vive le Toyota! Toyota updated the European Yaris in the middle of 2011 and added a hybrid version later that year, the model has many fans across the pond. It helps that they hybrid is rated (using the friendlier European standards) at a whopping 81 miles per gallon, a tremendous number for a car that costs approximately $26,000. Toyota could soon have a bit more room in the small hybrid segment, since it was reported recently that Honda would discontinue European sales of its Insight and CR-Z hybrids soon. That decision was made easier because of increasing competition from Toyota, which boosted hybrid sales in Europe last year by 43 percent. In contrast, both the CR-Z and Insight experienced more than a 60-percent plunge in European sales in 2013.
