Full custom build from the ground up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2i7wDnRQh2k&feature=youtu.be VIN # JT2JA82J8R0019889 All VINS match on the car I bought this car August of 2011 as a bone stock TT with 97k miles. Car had a filter and full exhaust and made 320whp. I always wanted a supra and my original goal was to keep stock motor and do a 67mm and make about 700whp. Well we all know how that goes and during my Build Project things got more and more detailed. From buying 3 different turbo’s before the car was done being fabricated, to a full engine bay shave/paint, to custom color scheme and powder coating, and so on. I am going to do my best and list every part on my entire car. I honestly may miss a few small things but will definitely have the majority listed. I made it my goal to buy the best of the best parts after tons of research and some guidance from gents that have been in the Supra game for a long time setting records. The mastermind and guidance behind a lot of the build and all of the fabrication is Marc Evans. Please feel free to go and look at my fully documented build thread “Evo KLR Build” on supraforums.com. I have done my best to document every part of my build from the beginning. Feel free to Follow me on Instagram @gared2jz or Facebook at Gared Reyna. I am placing some links below. A car that you can go absolutely anywhere and have people Gawking at what they believe to see. Flash Supra has been socialized all over the World Wide Web. I wanted to Build a full custom, lightweight, race-ready car that can be street driven anywhere, taken to the dragstrip, roll raced on the street and win car shows. If I were keeping this car it would be getting Pro-level axles and a Parachute so it can go out and run 8’s. The car weighs about 3150lbs and makes 1150whp, a great combination for a fast car. I have placed about 1500 miles on the entire car since its completion the week of TX2K13. In the last 500 miles the car has seen a refresh of some bugs. The car previously ran standard ARP headstuds which we now know isn’t good for consistent 1000+whp pulls. The head was taken off, sent back to Machine shop to be inspected, a brand new headgasket was placed and the new ARP 625’s that have been holding 1150whp no problem. This car is unbelievably reliable. I have no problems taking the buyer on a long cruise to show reliability, to do several street pulls back to back to back, and even strap on the dyno. Oil PSI on the car is perfect and coolant temps never rise above 180 degree with the electric fans which turn on at 178 I believe. The bad: With a car approaching 20years old their will obviously be some minor imperfections. All of the below are negotiable with the buyer on adjustments to be made. The price that you will see leaves room for negotiation. -factory stereo stopped working -no a/c, ps, or abs *ac/ps were taken out for room of engine bay shave/tuck *car is not driven in extremely hot temps so no need for AC, I just take the targa off *car has big brake kit so no need for abs. It stops on a dime especially when those meaty tires get hott. -has all interior panels but no carpet in rear and no rear seats -paint problems *scratch underneath drivers side door *door handles are a little faded *engine bay has some paint knicks
-reverse gear is tricky to get into gear (negotiable to be fixed completely) As you can see there has been a lot of time and money into this car. Prices for parts listed above are as close as possible. There are no labor prices listed for motor assembly or tuning for consideration of JMS Racing. Every build is different and one to this extent definitely comes with hours and hours of nonstop labor. |

Toyota ad says fuel cell cars are inevitable
Fri, Sep 19 2014Toyota's confidence in H2 technology remains as strong as ever. The company has released a new commercial that says it's not a matter of if we all start driving hydrogen cars, but when. In fact, the 70-second spot calls 2015 the turning point for the alternative powertrain technology. Here's a bit of the voiceover for the animated spot, which to our eyes and ears comes off as more than a little defensive: There will be the naysayers. The handbrakes, who say that it can't be done. that it's unsafe. That there's no infrastructure to support it. Then there'll be the trailblazers. The first to put up their hand, and put down their foot. The bold few, driven to be remembered as those who made a difference. And perhaps, the ones that made all the difference. In the end, Toyota says, we're all going to be driving hydrogen cars, starting perhaps with the company's first H2 sedan which will go on sale next year. But, if the early comments on the video's YouTube page are any indication, then Toyota's might be a bit lonely driving down the hydrogen highway. Watch the ad below, then vote in our poll below and let us know what you think of Toyota's approach. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Linde spending $4.3 million on two new hydrogen stations in California
Wed, Aug 6 2014If California is going to sink millions upon millions to expand its hydrogen-refueling infrastructure, shouldn't at least some of that infrastructure be operated by a company that actually produces hydrogen fuel? Why, yes, and that's the case with Linde North America. The company has announced it will build two publicly-accessible hydrogen stations in Northern California, courtesy of a $4.3 million grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC). One of the stations will be at Oakland International Airport while the other will be about 20 miles east in San Ramon, next to Toyota's regional office and parts distribution center for the San Francisco Bay Area. That's only fitting, considering that Toyota is going to release a production fuel cell vehicle next year, first in Japan, then in the US (it will be limited to California at the beginning). The California Air Resources Board recently outlined the Golden State's intention to spend $50 million on getting 28 hydrogen refueling stations up and running by the end of next year and as many as 100 new stations added during the next decade. A large chunk of those (19, to be exact) will be built through a partnership betweetn Toyota and FirstElement Fuel Inc., so things are happening. Check out Linde's press release below. Linde to build two additional retail hydrogen fueling stations in northern California - Receives $4 million grant from California Energy Commission - Fueling stations slated for Oakland International Airport and San Ramon MURRAY HILL, N.J., and NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J., Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Energy Commission (CEC) awarded $4.3 million to Linde North America to construct retail hydrogen fueling stations in Northern California. The stations will be located at the Oakland International Airport and on Toyota owned property in San Ramon, California, adjacent to Toyota's San Francisco Regional Office and Parts Distribution Center. The award is part of $46.6 million funding program the CEC has committed this year to expand the retail hydrogen fueling infrastructure within the state. The grants, made through CEC's Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program, were made to eight applicants and will add 13 new hydrogen fueling locations in Northern California and 15 in Southern California, strategically located to create a refueling network along major corridors and in regional centers.
GM, Audi, Jaguar halt Russian sales amidst ruble's collapse
Fri, Dec 19 2014The value of Russia's ruble currency has sunk like a stone tossed in the Volga for much of the year, losing over 40 percent of its worth since June. The change is having bizarre effects on the auto industry there and leaving some automakers scrambling to adjust. According to Bloomberg, Russians are buying up luxury goods including automobiles at the moment to have a physical investment in case the ruble sinks further. However, with the money worth so little, the companies aren't making much from these transactions. Things are so dire that several automakers are temporarily ending deliveries until the situation stabilizes. According to Bloomberg, General Motors stopped sales on December 16 with no set date to start again. Audi did the same thing but with the intention to resume once it has adjusted model pricing. Jaguar Land Rover terminated business until December 19 to see how things changed. Toyota is increasing its pricing, as well, but keeping business open at the same time. Some automakers have subtly been reacting to the slumping Russian auto market all year. The moves have included Volkswagen cutting production by 30,000 units from its factory in Kaluga. Ford also got rid of 950 workers from two plants due to low demand. Some analysts have even speculated that the contracting industry and possibility of lower import duties into the country could cause companies to end their manufacturing in Russia completely.
