Up for sale is my pride and joy... I've personally owned over 50 cars, and none compare to this one. **This car is listed locally, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.**
This Supra started life as a pampered NA 5-speed Supra for the first 105k miles of it's existence. Roughly 8 years ago, the transplant was completed (professionally), from Non-turbo 5-speed to TT- 6-speed(Getrag). The 2JZ-GTE engine saw no more than factory boost limits (~11.7psi) for nearly the entire life of the current engine(up until about 200 miles ago).
The car has the complete NA-TT swap minus the rear brake calipers. The only reason is that ultimately I might have put a set of 15" drag wheels on the car, and the TT rear calipers don't work with these anyway, so the NA rear calipers remain.
All other standard NA to turbo parts have been converted(Front TT calipers, driveshaft, rear end, LSD,etc.).
Currently the Car is running a single turbo conversion, and is at ~500rwhp. The car is on stock fuel and ECU, and the clutch has a "stock feel". This makes for the perfect street Supra.
If you ever driven or owned a Supra with 800+hp, it sounds great on paper, but is simply not "streetable".
This car has the best of both worlds....Perfectly streetable--drives like a stock Supra....with a ton more "punch". And is ready to go to the next level (give it AEM EMS and a Fuel upgrade and you're at 700+hp).
Please see the numerous pics below, but I would describe the car as followed:
Exterior- The car was repainted in the Factory Renaissance Red, a few years ago. The paint/sheen etc. look great, but there are numerous chips, and random dents/door dings, etc(normal driving). From 12+ feet away the car looks perfect. As you get a little closer, you start seeing things that could use correction. All the dings, etc. could be repaired.
Interior- This was the selling point of the car for me. The is my 3rd MKIV, and I've also owned 3 Lexus SC300 cars. As you start looking at cars that are 15-20 years old, the overall condition can vary two-fold. This car clearly was garaged its entire life, as you can tell by the interior. There is some slight sun-fading in the dash (it spent numerous years in AZ). But overall the interior looks fantastic for it's age. Below is the complete Mods list-

Ever wonder where automakers get the names for their cars? You're not alone. The sitcom Seinfeld opened Episode 94 - the one where George Costanza buys a Chrysler LeBaron instead of a Volvo - with a bit about nameplates like Integra, Supra and Impreza. Toyota, clearly, is not exempt from choosing evocative but enigmatic names for its models, and now the Japanese automaker is taking us through the etymology of some of its nameplates.
Names like Supra may require no clarification, but what about Camry? That comes from the Japanese word kanmuri for Crown (which is, incidentally, the name of another Toyota sedan).
Yaris? According to the company, it's "an amalgamation of words from Greek mythology and German. In Greek mythology, 'Charis' was a symbol of beauty and elegance. Toyota swapped the 'Ch' with 'Ya' - German for 'yes' - to symbolize the perceived reaction of European markets to the car's styling."

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.

In 2006, I bought a Scion xB (the super upright, first-generation one), and I always had this wild dream of turning the xBox into an aquarium after it had run its course in my personal test fleet. Long story short, that never happened. But apparently the folks at Toyota got wind of my idea - only, well, this isn't exactly what I had in mind.
Let's just start at the beginning here. This is a 2014 Toyota Highlander - you know, the redesigned one that bowed in New York earlier this year. I haven't driven it yet, but I'm sure it's plenty nice and will appeal to all sorts of families. Families with kids. Kids who like cartoons. Cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants.
Which brings me to our next talking point: the collaboration between Toyota and Nickelodeon for the Spongebob-themed wrap that covers every inch of this Highlander. This isn't the first time we've seen the yellow cartoon sponge on a Highlander - Toyota unveiled a differently wrapped version earlier this year - but this one features more of an aquatic, under-the-sea sort of theme. Perfect, considering the main point of this crossover's reason for being at SEMA.
