My Toyota supra is in amazing original condition. Paint is very nice, tires are great. everything works. ac, locks, windows, read defogger, lights etc. As regular maintenance the head gasket was changed about 15K miles ago because we were aware of all the problems with that part of the car. Runs great, no smoke, turbo is perfect. Interior I would give an 9.0. No cracks in dash or rips etc. Looks very nice and smells clean. If it needed anything.. I would guess brakes and rotors because when I break I get a bit of a shimmy in the wheel. I drive it like that.. I figured when it got warm I would just do the brakes. Had a recent tune up, oil change etc. The radiator hose cracked from age so I changed all the hoses and wired ($500.00) After each spell of cold I go start the car and am always surprised that it starts right up and goes. I am selling the car to use the money to lease my daughter a new car for school. That's it., On Feb-25-14 at 20:30:49 PST, seller added the following information: For your information. the targa pics removed were about 4 months ago after cleaning. I keep it covered. The cover blew off in the last snow storm, so I ended up driving it when the roads were clean.. but it still got a bit dirty. will probably take it to car wash after the next snow.. ugh.. |

New version of Toyota FT-1 Concept gets racy for Gran Turismo 6
Thu, 07 Aug 2014Gran Turismo 6 has been the preferred marketing springboard for quite a few brands and concept cars since its debut last winter. Specifically the GT Vision concept idea - allowing manufacturers a built-in place to offer up new, original, drivable content - has enticed the likes of Mercedes, Nissan, Volkswagen, Toyota and more to dream big on the digital stage before pulling the sheets back on real concept cars.
In fact, Toyota teamed its live reveal of the FT-1 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show with an in-game launch of the car, just this past January. Looking for a second bite at the GT6 apple, Toyota has just released a teaser video for a new, FT-1 Vision GT version of the same concept.
The company isn't giving us much to go on save for the 30-second video, saying only that the concept was penned by Toyota's Calty Design Research team in California, and that it will "soon be available for download." By the looks of it, the new FT-1 seems to be more of a racecar than the original, without obvious changes to the basic form. No word on whether or not there's a physical concept car in the offing at a yet-to-be-named auto show. Stay tuned.
2014 Toyota Corolla and Tundra production underway
Fri, 02 Aug 2013After months of leaked photos and speculative reports, Toyota finally unveiled its 2014 Corolla to the world in early July at a star-studded California party. The confetti has been swept up and the champagne flutes washed and stored, and now the real work can begin: production. Toyota has announced that its new C-segment player has begun rolling off the lines at its plants in Mississippi and Ontario, Canada this week ahead of the planned start of sales in September. What's more, the refreshed 2014 Tundra pickup has also segued into production in San Antonio, Texas.
Corolla production in Mississippi is still a relatively recent phenomenon, with the plant having begun assembly of the outgoing model in the fourth quarter of 2011, while Toyota's Cambridge, Ontario plant has been churning out the compact volume king since 1988. Conversely, the Tundra has been in production at the Texas facility since 2006, and Toyota projects that the plant will build its milestone one-millionth new vehicle in September, right around the time the reworked fullsize pickup goes on sale.
Toyota may put Mirai hydrogen fuel cell powertrain into a Lexus
Wed, Dec 24 2014Toyota is hoping to define the world of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles with its uniquely styled Mirai sedan in a fashion similar to the way the Prius pops into people's minds when they think of a hybrid. The Japanese automaker believes it can sell about 700 FCEVs worldwide in the first year alone and build rapidly from there to an estimated 3,000 sales in the US by 2017. Of course, not everyone is completely enamored with the Mirai's design. Toyota is rumored to have an alternative in the works to quell some of those naysayers, possibly taking flagship form with a new Lexus LS powered by fuel-cell tech. The LS FCEV could be unveiled by 2017 to sit at the very top of brand's lineup. According to an inside source speaking to the Australian website Motoring, the front end would feature larger air intakes to cool the electrical components. The fuel cell would reportedly be positioned under the front seat, and the hydrogen tanks would be located under and behind the rear seat. Somehow, Motoring claims that all of this might be lighter than the current LS600hL hybrid, to the tune about 440 pounds. The model is also claimed to offer a range of about 239 miles, just a bit shy of the Mirai's roughly 300 miles. Assuming this vehicle actually exists, the cost for buyers of this flagship would almost certainly ring up at more than the LS600hL's $120,440 base price. Autoblog has reached out to Toyota for any further info about this rumor, one way or the other. If we hear back, we'll update this story with the details.
