Low starting price below current market value!

My family just moved near the mountains of PA and bought a 4x4 SUV for the snow, so we are selling our Prius.

As you can see in the photos, we haven't even transferred the registration from NJ to PA yet, so we need to sell it fast.

45+ MPG

Navigation system is great!

2 sets of key fobs with new batteries installed.

Engine and hybrid system are in excellent condition.

This vehicle has never been in an accident, and has no major physical damage to the body.  Only minor cosmetic blemishes.
Vehicle was recently inspected by Toyota and there are no major issues with the vehicle.

Upholstery is fabric, and although it has been cleaned by hand, it could use a good steam cleaning.
The car also needs new floor mats.  I will include the old ones, but they do show wear.

I will give the buyer a $200.00 refund at time of pickup to help cover the cost of new tires and floor mats.  ( Or you can use it for gas etc.)

Note: The manufacturers warranty for this vehicle has expired, therefore, this vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty given or implied.     Other than what has been stated as the condition of this vehicle in this listing, there are no known defects or major issues with the vehicle to the best of my knowledge.  All photos in this listing are of the actual vehicle you will be buying.

Please be advised: The vehicle is also listed for sale in our local Auto seller paper.    I reserve the right to end this listing early if I sell the vehicle.

Terms, upon winning the bid:

1. Please contact me via Ebay email within 48 hours of winning the bid to arrange to pay for and pick up your vehicle.

2. Please provide a phone number and current address via ebay email after you win the bid so that I have the information ready for the title when you arrive to pick up the vehicle.

3. I will require a copy of your drivers license to verify your identity at time of pickup.

4. No negotiations will be allowed once the winning bid has been won, or at time of pickup of the vehicle, and absolutely no negotiating outside of Ebay's email format.  This is for your protection and mine.

5. You are responsible for paying the entire winning bid price.

6. I guarantee the vehicle engine will start when you come to pick it up!

7. The vehicle is sold AS-IS Where-Is, with no warranty given or implied.

Payment and pickup:

1. I will accept cash, a personal check, cashier's check, or direct bank wire transfer.   If paying by check or bank wire transfer: you will not be allowed to take possession of the vehicle until your check or bank wire transfer has cleared.   Depending on your bank, this could take up to TEN (10) business days.  Please allow time for your check to clear before attempting to pick up your vehicle.

2. You may mail your check or hand deliver it to allow time to clear if you prefer, or provide the entire balance due (in cash) immediately at time of pickup.

3. You may pickup the vehicle at my house, or at a pre arranged public destination such as the nearest DMV to my house.

4. *I will deliver the vehicle within 100 miles of my house for a fee of $2.00 per mile each way.  ONLY after your check or wire transfer has cleared.   I will hold on to the $200 refund as stated in the listing and deduct mileage fees from that amount when I deliver the vehicle.  You will receive the balance of the $200 (minus $2.00 per mile each way), at the time you take delivery.

5.  If you choose to have the vehicle shipped, you are responsible for shipping arrangements.  You must pay in full by (cleared) check, wire or cash BEFORE having your vehicle picked up for shipping.

I am trying my best to work on the honor system, but unfortunately there are scammers and con artists all over Ebay.  I have only asked for a $125.00 deposit upon winning the bid, because that is what Ebay charges me when you finalize the bid.   Please do not bid unless you intend to complete the transaction!  You are responsible for taxes, registration, insurance, shipping, etc.  I am not a dealer, so I don't charge you doc fees, *dealer destination fees, or other fees on top of your bid.  My NJ plates will not remain with the vehicle, as I am required to return them to the NJ DMV.

Again: Ebay charges me $125.00 when you win the bid, therefore, if you default on your bid you will be reported to Ebay.  I will not refund your deposit if you default on the balance of your winning bid, or attempt to negotiate after the bid has been won, because I will have to pay to relist the vehicle.

In addition, I will not entertain brokers or dealers "we only pay below wholesale auction prices for vehicles" nonsense.  Any brokers or dealers who fraudulently place a winning bid or imitate consumers in order to attempt to negotiate dealer auction prices outside of Ebay format or at time of pick up will be reported to Ebay and the authorities for fraud.

Note: Ebay's Car fax shows a duplicate title.  This is correct, and absolutely normal for the history of the vehicle.  There is no issue with the title for this vehicle.
We were issued a duplicate title directly from the bank as soon as the car loan was paid off. This also includes a letter from the bank which states this is a certified duplicate title.  The New Jersey DMV has the original, which is held by the DMV as long as the car is registered in NJ.  The vehicle has not yet been registered in PA, as we are selling it.  The vehicle is currently located in PA at my home.

2015 Toyota Camry

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Every car has its definitive year. Whether it be the Chevrolet Corvette, the Ford Mustang, or yes, even the ubiquitous Toyota Camry, 10.2 million of which have been sold since 1983, every car has its year. For the Camry, that year was 1992. With son-of-Lexus styling, a clear sense of purpose and a parent company that had hit its stride as the purveyor of faultlessly reliable family transportation devices, the Camry got its legs in 1992. It's a car that even your mom is likely to remember, even if she never owned one herself.
The Camry you see here represents the closest Toyota has come to emulating the magic formula that made the 1992 model the stuff of legends. Compared to the 2014 model, some 2000 of the car's 6,000 parts are new, most of them involving things you can see or touch (on the outside, for example, only the roof carries over from 2014).
It's not a full redesign, but nevertheless it's a stunning development considering the predecessor upon which it's based only survived two model years. That's a testament to both the hyper-competitive nature of the family sedan segment and the lukewarm critical response that the outgoing car garnered. But that's in the past now - after driving this 2015 model, we suspect the new car's changes will be thorough enough to continue pulling in new customers by the hundreds of thousands each year for the foreseeable future.

Toyota recalling select 2014 Camry and Avalon models

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Toyota has announced a rather small voluntary recall, affecting 5,650 Avalon and Camry sedans from model year 2014. Both gas and hybrid models are included in the action.
This recall focuses on the left front lower suspension arm, which may have a bad bolt connecting it to the ball joint. If the car hits a big enough pothole - a real concern as we head into winter - or suffers a major impact, the two components could separate, at which point steering control would more or less vanish.
According to Toyota, there have been no crashes, injuries or deaths due to this problem. Toyota is notifying owners, who will need to report to dealers for a free replacement lower suspension arm.

Toyota found not at fault in alleged unintended acceleration crash

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

Toyota has already paid out millions and billions of dollars in settlements surrounding unintended acceleration, but the first lawsuit in the matter, which headed to a California court in July, has reached a verdict. Following the 2009 death of Noriko Uno, whose 2006 Camry was hit by another car and then sped out of control before crashing into a tree, the jury found that Toyota was not at fault in the crash.
Even though the 2006 Camry (shown above) wasn't involved in any of the unintended acceleration-related recalls and it was not equipped with a brake override, Automotive News reports that the jury's verdict says there was no defect in the car and actually blames the entire incident on the driver that ran into Uno's car - to the tune of $10 million. The accident started when the other driver ran a stop sign and hit Uno's car, and the report says that medical conditions (including diabetes) caused Uno to fail to stop her Camry.
The AN article also states that this lawsuit was a bellwether case for around 85 other personal-injury and wrongful-death suits against Toyota, but there are still many impending suits across the country. Scroll down for an official statement on this particular case from Toyota.
