This is a bone stock 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder Roadster Convertible, 4 Speed manual with alloy wheels, three owner car in excellent condition with only 56K miles on the odometer!! Loaded with 1.8L 4 cylinder EFI Engine, 4-Speed manual transmission, silver exterior, black interior, two-tone cloth seats, leather steering wheel trim, CD/Cassette audio system, air conditioning (works great!), power windows, power door locks, power exterior mirrors, 15 inch wheels and more. I bought this car in October of 2012 from a dealer and had it separately inspected by a local Toyota dealer. The Toyota dealer reported that the car was nearly flawless for its age and had actually been serviced at that dealership since new. It has never burned a drop of oil and all of the fluids have been serviced. The tires, battery and brakes are new. The top is also in excellent condition. I don't know if the precats have been dealt with, but as noted above, it was dealer serviced and it does not burn a drop of oil. You will not find a nicer example of this car anywhere! |

2014 Toyota Highlander recalled over seatbelt anchors
Mon, 10 Mar 2014Toyota has announced a small recall of its redesigned, 2014 Highlander over issues with one of its seat belts. The affected vehicles, which were built from November 20, 2013 to January 18, 2014, could have a seatbelt assembly in the middle seat of the third row that wasn't properly secured to a floor anchorage at the factory.
In total, 7,067 of the new Highlanders are included in the recall, which was discovered not after a crash, but during a post-build inspection at the factory. It's unclear if there have been any injuries as a result of the faulty seat belts.
Toyota is set to inform owners of the affected vehicles as well as dealers with the recalled Highlander models in their inventory. Naturally, repairs will be performed free of charge. For the full bulletin form the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, scroll down.

Convincing a man or woman (or child, really) that they absolutely cannot live without the latest, greatest new bit of technology oftentimes takes a unique approach. In the "online film promoting the Toyota GT86" you'll see below, created by agency Happiness Brussels, men are reverse-psychologied into thinking a new sports coupe will make them more masculine by getting their loved ones to hate them. Or something like that. We think.
In any case, we suggest you watch the video below to see how much fun men can have with a GT86 - or Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ, presumably - at the expense of their significant others. Fair warning: There's a potential Not Safe For Work moment in the ad: beware of a brief male butt shot about 44 seconds in.

Lower gas prices mean there are excellent deals on green cars right now
Sat, Jan 17 2015The phenomenon was big enough to make news in 2006, then in 2008, in 2011, in 2012, in 2013, and again last year: a big move in gas prices means a big move in alternative-fuel-vehicle sales. True Car's TrueSavings report, which averages transaction prices across the country to figure out what people are paying compared to MSRP, shows that electric cars and hybrids are ripe for excellent savings right now. The Ford Focus Electric presents the greatest disparity, with the average transaction price of $25,168 representing a 16.1-percent saving off its $29,995 MSRP. The Kia Optima Hybrid and Toyota Prius also snagged spots in the top five, with the Kia offering a 10.7-percent discount and the Toyota a 10.1-percent discount. One hybrid managed to show up among the top five lease offers, too: the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid is just $315 a month for 36 months after $3,875 down in some markets. Alt-energy vehicles got bumped out of the top five finance deals, however. That was dominated by light trucks and, oddly, two subcompacts. The press release below has more details.
