Normal wera and tear, minor scratches and chips, no dents, minor dings that are very hard to pick out and find."

If you are looking for a fast, fun car, that handles like a go-cart, and has a convertible top, look no further. This might just be the most fun car to own and drive, and it gets over 30 mpg. This vehicle has been gone over from front to back. Convert top was just replaced with a Robbins Cloth Top. Full tune has been performed with Iridium Plugs including Synthetic Oil in the engine and trans. Belt has been replaced with a new pully, and the tensioner assembly has been rebuilt.  Just installed a  Megan Stainless exhaust and a PPE High Flow Cat Converter. 2 of the O2 sensors were replaced with the system.  A TRD short shifter ensures smooth shifting up and down. Shifter Bushings replaced at the trans. A Weapon R CAI system has been installed with an Intake Box to try and keep the incoming air as cool as possible. A Morosso oil pan was just put on to keep the oil in the lower part of the pan and prevent it from crawling up the sides. Believe me, this is no race car, but it can out handle almost anything in the twisties. With more power, this car would be unbeatable. Oil consumption is at a minimum, a little over 1/4 quart at the 3000 mile mark before the last oil change. As stated before, I have just change over to German Castrol Full Synthetic 0-30 engine oil.  New Yellow Top Optima Battery also. ProSport Oil Temp and Oil Pressure Gauges with a Scan Gauge in a TRD Dash Pod. This car is a very strong running example of a nearly stock engine with a little intake and exhaust additions. In this state it is very reliable, fun to drive. When it is not raining here in NJ, it is my daily driver.

All four shocks have been replaced with the KYB units and a set of TRD lowering springs. Shock Assemblies were rebuilt with all new OEM Toyota Parts. Front Lower Control Arms with Ball joints, bushings replaced as well. Front and Rear TRD Strut Bars, and lower TRD Bracing was included with the Suspension reconditioning. A four wheel alignment has been professionally performed. Tires are in great shape, I just replacd the wheels with a set of Drag Wheels, see pictures. This has to be one of the best handling cars I have ever owned, it will not disappoint!  I have upgraded the rear taillights and grilles to the 2003 and later items. Front and rear grilles have been blacked out. Brakes are at about 75% at this time. I installed Stainless Steel brake lines and flushed and chaged the fluid. Clutch line has been changed to Stainless also. Clutch fluid changed too. The body and paint on a 1-10 rating is at about a 7. Normal chips and scratches for a vehicle of this age. I would rate the mechanical end of this car at a 8. There is one issue, the hand brake cables need to be replaced, the parts to repair will be include with the sale. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Next-gen Toyota Prius spied inside and out

Fri, 24 May 2013

Toyota has built itself into the industry's standard-bearer when it comes to hybrids, and it isn't going to let the poster child for gas-electric vehicles get stale on the market. These spy shots captured in California are our first good look at the next-generation Prius, which could come to market wearing a 2015 model year designation.
Even though it looks like Toyota may have blown its annual camouflage budget on this mule, we can clearly see that it will have the same iconic half-moon design that has been with the car since 2003. If so, this goes against reports from last year that suggested the car would be getting a different look inspired by the 2013 NS4 Concept. Although, this could also indicate that the Prius family will continue to grow - adding a new sedan - to the existing Prius C, Prius V and Prius Plug-In lineup.
These spy shots also give us an indication as to what the interior will look like, with a more stylish three-spoke steering wheel and an instrument panel design that sort of reminds us of a BMW. On the other hand, all the tape, cobbled together pieces and lack of space for a center stack display screen has us thinking this isn't what the final product will resemble.

eBay Find of the Day: Back To The Future Marty McFly 1985 Toyota SR5 pickup tribute

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

With DeLorean time machine replicas thick on the ground, it was only a matter of time before someone started recreating the other vehicles in the McFly garage. At the end of the first Back to the Future movie, Marty returns to 1985 to find his sweet-looking Toyota SR5 truck all waxed and ready for his date. That truck always did look great in the movie, and now's your chance to own this close facsimile.
This Back to the Future replica Toyota is on eBay with a price of $14,500, which the seller claims is half of what's been invested. Perhaps that's true, but it's still a nearly 30-year-old truck that's covered 280,000 miles. The seller does say the 22RE engine has been recently rebuilt, along with the rest of the drivetrain, and there's new paint, too. The attention to detail is admirable, and if you've always admired Marty's '80s-chic 4x4, now's your chance to own it.

All of the Bond cars of 'No Time To Die' (caution for spoilers)

Thu, Sep 30 2021

Note: The following overview of the cars in No Time To Die contains spoilers. Read at your own risk, or come back after seeing the film to make sure you caught everything.   No Time To Die picks up right around where Spectre leaves us. James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are driving along in Bond’s restored and iconic DB5 in Matera, Italy. Things donÂ’t stay all that cheery for long in picturesque Matera, though. As is tradition in Bond films, the first car chase hits us with an explosion of action in what's a super-long opening scene. Fourth-gen Maserati Quattroporte: The baddies in the beginning are driving a Maserati and chasing after Bond in the DB5. Specifically, theyÂ’re in a fourth-gen Quattroporte, which feels right for a chase scene in Italy. Its squared-off looks are mean enough, and its Italian growl is a good background soundtrack to the DB5Â’s inline-six. In addition to the Quattroporte, the chase scene in Matera is home to a couple of the best stunts of the entire movie, including the arch jump done with a Triumph motorcycle seen in trailers — Matera is extremely hilly. Eventually, Bond and Swann find themselves in the DB5 again together, which is where the famous gatling gun scene from the trailer commences, but not before the bulletproof windows and body of the DB5 are thoroughly tested. RIP to the first-gen Range Rover Classics and Jaguar XFs that joined the Maserati in pursuit of Bond (here's a list of other Bond cars over the years). As the DB5 escape scene concludes, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a Ferrari from the 1970s. However, the view was far enough away that weÂ’ll need a second look to be sure of the exact model. Land Rover Series III: Next time we see Bond, heÂ’s fishing in Jamaica and driving around a blue Land Rover Series III. ItÂ’s yet another of the many Land Rover products featured throughout the film, and unlike most of BondÂ’s Aston Martins, this one doesnÂ’t seem to have any unique features. The other intriguing vehicle out of Jamaica? An old Chevrolet Bel-Air expertly and effectively piloted by Bond newcomer, Ana de Armas. Next up, we get a few shots of the new and still-not-for-sale Aston Martin Valhalla mid-engine supercar (also seen in trailers). BondÂ’s old boss M is in the scene which appears to have been shot in some secret wind tunnel of sorts. Much to our dismay, nobody ends up driving the Valhalla in the film. Could it be a teaser for what the next 007Â’s car is?
