Unbelievable Fully Restored 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj-40 ... Matching Numbers on 2040-cars
Upland, California, United States
This is an absolutely beautiful truck. It has been fully restored... totally stock. This truck has NEVER been modified, except a conversion from column shift to floor shift... a must for these trucks... done decades ago.
This rig runs and drives perfectly...Everything works as it should. This is a numbers matching rig, bought from the Original Owner. The truck was in Southern California its entire life. Never any rust. Every piece was removed and restored to its pristine condition or replaced with only Correct Toyota Parts. Over 100 hours spent just finding the correct replacement parts and ONLY the finest parts were used, no expense spared. When you do this extent of restoration, it just doesn't make any sense at all, to scrimp on quality to save money. And if you are going to be the lucky new owner of this fine truck, you wouldn't have wanted us to do it any other way...Our Motto is "Do it right the first time" and it never fails to have the final product restoration, be absolutely beautiful. This restoration took several hundred hours of meticulous, tedious expertise to fulfill this project to be one of the best Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40s, in the U.S.A. A couple of these photos were taken with the driver's seat removed when we photographed the jack and accessory Tool Kit... just in case you noticed. Here are some of the facts for this vehicle:
What else can we say... this rig is breathtaking and has zero miles on the drive train... brought back to the original dealer showroom quality... just for You!!!
We are more than happy to meet you at the Ontario International Airport (ONT) and return you to the Airport after you have had the pleasure of viewing this truck in person.

Toyota reveals new customizable Camatte57s kid-friendly concepts
Tue, 11 Jun 2013Toyota plans to follow up last year's kid-friendly Camatte concept with two new versions: the Camatte57s and Camatte57s Sport (right). Like the original Camatte, the two new concepts will make their debut at the International Tokyo Toy Show, which is happening this weekend.
Not much has changed with these two new Camatte models. Like their predecessor, they both feature detachable body panels (the count is up to 57), a 1+2 seating array and reconfigurable pedals that allow children to operate the gas and brakes while Mom or Dad steers. What is new is an open-top roadster design that even eschews doors in favor of easier ingress/egress. They look like something a tourist would rent to get around a Hawaiian island, though we dig the distinct personalities of each model's design.
Both cars are all-electric, though Toyota hasn't provided any other specifications, like what makes the Sport model sporty besides its more aggressive body panels and silver, black and red color scheme. That's just as well, as neither concept, like the original Camatte before them, is street legal.
2014 Toyota Corolla shows just enough to keep us interested
Tue, 21 May 2013To date, the best idea we have of what the 2014 Toyota Corolla will look like is the shape and styling of the Furia Concept from this year's Detroit Auto Show. Obviously the compact car will turn down the wick a fair bit from that orange machine, and now we have one more scintilla of an idea of what the final product will look like.
Published today on Toyota's official Facebook page, the image above clearly shows the rear quarter of the 2014 Corolla S. Though the low angle is pretty wonky, we can make out that the shape of the taillight cluster is very similar to that of the Furia, albeit without the same LED treatment, A hint of a trunk-lid spoiler is also in evidence, and also follows the Furia's lead.
Toyota points out that the new Corolla will be shown in earnest on June 6. Expect to see the full version of the car by that date at the latest - online leaks have a tendancy to speed these things up.
Toyota ready to get dirty with new TRD Pro Series
Thu, 06 Feb 2014To the general public, Toyota is often thought of as a maker of bland but dependable cars, crossovers and SUVs that get their owners and a whole herd of whatever from Point A to Point B. Generally speaking, they're fuel efficient, comfortable and affordable. What the general public may not realize, however, is that Toyota enjoys a very strong history of going off road, too. The legendary Land Cruiser arguably established the trend, helping explore remote parts of the globe, while various guerilla warfare outfits and world military branches have unwittingly joined up with the boys from Top Gear to help cement the Hilux pickup's reputation for invincible performance. Now, though, Toyota is launching a new line of trucks and SUVs in the US that are even more explicitly targeted at hitting the trails. Meet the TRD Pro Series.
Featuring the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra, each Pro Series vehicle features TRD-tuned springs with Bilstein shocks, a TRD front skid plate, a TRD shifter, black wheels, branded floor mats and a "TOYOTA" grille badge, the latter of which harkens back to classic models. TRD Pro Series vehicles will be offered in the new Inferno paint color shown above, as well as Black and Super White.
The Tundra benefits from softer TRD springs that also provide a two-inch lift and a better ride in the rough, while the truck itself rides on 18-inch wheels with Michelin ORP tires. Each truck gains an extra two inches of wheel travel in front and 1.25 inches in back, while a TRD dual exhaust should generate a nicer sound than the trucks's standard V8 engine. Finally, a unique interior with red contrast stitching freshen up the cabin. We wouldn't go so far as to call this a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor fighter - far from it, in fact - but it's a bit more off-road oriented than your average pickup.
