1984 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 body style imported from New Zealand. This cruiser runs like a champ. It fires right up and drives very smooth. The interior is in good shape for the year although the headliner is coming down a little in the corner. the body has the typical rust spots that many of these Landcruisers have, although none of it is too difficult to take care of. The car has an Arizona title and is ready to be transfered to any state.
If you have never had an opportunity to drive a right hand drive vehicle, let me tell you, it is an absolute blast. I bought this as a package deal with a 1982 Landcruiser with a flatbed. My HOA is having a cow with these two cars in my driveway which is pushing my wife to the limit. So now the cruisers have to go. Fuel prices in the US have been tumbling for the last several weeks, with the average price of a gallon of gas at $3.120 as of October 20, according to the US Energy Information Administration. That price reflects a serious recent drop from $3.299 on October 6. Reports have even suggested that those low numbers might not change for a little while, perhaps as long as years. While drivers certainly love paying less at the pump, the change may be hurting the market for more fuel-efficient models, including the Toyota Prius.
Toyota Matrix discontinued for 2014
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Between its slow sales and the upcoming redesign of the closely related Corolla sedan, things haven't been looking good for the Toyota Matrix (for some time now). After 10 years on the market, Toyota has officially announced that it will drop the Matrix from its US lineup following the 2013 model year.
The announcement was made as a part of a press release breaking down what's new for Toyota in 2014, but for now, it doesn't look like any Toyota-branded product will fill the Matrix's spot. The Matrix and its sister car, the defunct Pontiac Vibe, were the final vehicles developed under the joint venture between Toyota and General Motors, an arrangement launched back to 1984.
