ICONTOYS will become ICON40 in coming months. Most of you know, all I recycle are the 40's.  I hope all my followers will take note, and follow my Land Cruiser restorations, collection, photographs and sales to ICON40 in the future. I will maintain and sell from ICONTOYS, but will phase out this ID in the future.

I would also like to mention that ICONTOYS/ICON40 could potentially be FOR SALE and SOLD to the right individual. For details, please contact me after the auction has concluded. This would include the shop, quality paint and body professionals and name, including quality inventory.

Please check out my Photographs of all of the great 40's I have restored and owned. A couple of different photo choices are available for $49 online here at eBay.com. The photos are super large 20X30 professional stock and on quality paper. Shipped to your door.

I have several very nice Land Cruiser's that will be sold later this spring. I do not ever bring in South American 40's (no heater or roll bar in those rigs and I see a lot of them on eBay these days ) as most have been beaten and abused and then restored to "look" otherwise. I patiently wait for the best 40's that come onto the market, here in the USA. The really nice ones are few and far between and thus the higher and higher prices. These are the best you will find anywhere.

My intention this week is to list the group for sale as a "unit" with a buy now price for all vehicles. Each are legally owned by me, they are registered and titled in my name with no liens or issues. All paperwork is complete.

Yes, I would, and will most likely sell these Land Cruisers individually.

I can help arrange transport, load, and take a photo for you of the Toyota on the transport truck.

During this auction, I will answer telephone calls only, and only after the auction has ended.

Here is a list of what you see in photographs. The last several photos are of "photographs" of 40's I have owned. They are for sale as well for $49ea. And have been "altered"

1983 BJ42 Freeborn Red 70,000 original miles, 5 speed trans, 3B Diesel engine, 29 mpg.  Complete frame-off, down to bare metal.  All body soft parts, weather stripping, nuts/bolts, emblems, window channels, floor mats, seat covers, etc are new.  Everything on the BJ42 except engine items are new.  The gas engine 70k original miles and runs like new.  OME suspension.

1983 FJ40 Beige with factory Decal kit reproduced.  AC/PS full frame-off in progress.  47,000 original miles, one of a handfull of '83's available.  Completion May 1 (photo is of another FJ40 that IS NOT the actual FJ I own.  My '83 looks exactly like this body with stock with factory oval rims).

1964 FJ45 Pickup V9 Conversion, ICON maintained and services.  Flawless in-stock Lily White/Gray.  Perfect FJ45.

1976 FJ40 Dune Beige, V8 Conversion.  4 Speed with Gear Splitter. (Better than a 5 speed).  Best hwy driving FJ40 you will ever own.  OME Suspension.

1979 FJ40 AC/PS 79,000 original miles rare Sky Blue.  OME, flawless full frame-off FJ40.

1982 FJ40 Beige, 107,000 original miles.  Frame-off, beautiful '82 that runs and drives like new.

As mentioned, I will take telephone calls only, and only after the auction is complete.  Serious buyers only please.  Thank you.

I understand the hardest part of buying something as expensive as one of these "toys" over the phone or Internet is that most buyers do not know me. I will be glad to offer a few key references before you do anything. Also, a couple of emails from previous buyers below.

Thanks again for understanding that this is a marketing campaign for people who are seeking out the best of the best Toyota Land Cruisers for this up coming spring/summer.

For those of you that I have talked to and had conversations with, specifically regarding the '83 Freeborn Red Diesel. I know you are interested, and will contact you if a deposit is needed to hold the BJ.

Please phone me after auction at 406.224.8893. Thanks, and happy bidding,

 Pete

A couple of Past buyer emails:

Dear Peter, The Fj40 arrived last Wednesday night and was more than promised! I am delighted, it' a step back in a time capsule to the year before I got married. I really have to admit, I had some trepidation to invest what I did and then wire a large amount of money to a bank account in Montana, sight unseen, but all my fears were unnecessary, because all was carried out as promised by you. You were honest and professional, and I feel like I now have a "friend" in Montana! I also appreciated the way you followed up after the sale with me to make sure you answered any questions and that I was satisfied. I am glad to give you a strong and well deserved recommendation. All the best, Jose P.

I just wanted to thank you for all the work you put into getting me my FJ40 on time.  I can honestly say that, at the beginning of the process, I was a little nervous making such a large purchase over the Internet and through phone calls.  In the end, it turned out great and I love my new truck.  I really appreciate all of the communication through the build; the email, the phone calls and the pictures.  It not only made things easy to schedule, it gave me a real sense for the quality you build into your restorations.  I am also impressed with all of the documentation you provided in that it made crossing the border and registering the vehicle hassle free; well, as hassle free as that process can get.  Please feel free to use me as a reference for future clients.

The last 7 photographs are "photographs for sale" not the rigs....they now belong to new owners.

Ford may bring the Ranger back to the US, the UK goes nuts over the Mustang, and the battle of hybrids heats up with spy shots of the Toyota Prius and a new Hyundai. Autoblog's senior editor Greg Migliore reports on the weekly recap edition of Autoblog Minute. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Ford may bring the Ranger back to the US, the UK goes nuts over Mustang, and the battle of hybrids heats up with spy shots of Prius and a new Hyundai. I'm Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute weekly recap. 2011 was the last time we saw Ford's midsize pickup in the US but according to a report from the Detroit News we could see production of the Ranger at the [00:00:30] Dearborn automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant as early as 2018. Ranger could compete with the Chevy Colorado and perhaps revive the compact and midsize pickup market for Ford, but the future of Ranger in the US depends a lot on Ford's ongoing negotiations with the UAW. About 2,000 orders for the 2015 Mustang were placed in the UK, tying up production of the pony car until July 2016. According to details in a press release from Ford UK, [00:01:00] it looks like Brits are a lot like their American cousins, opting for the 5.0 liter V8, with Race Red as the popular color of choice. Photos of the 2016 Toyota Prius leaked generating a lot of buzz over the styling. This fourth generation Prius will have some new competition as spy shots of a new Hyundai also surfaced this week. The car is said to be a hybrid and a bonafide "Prius fighter." Those are the highlights from the week that was. Be sure to check out my full recap this Saturday, [00:01:30] including the latest in FCA rumors for 2016. For Autoblog, I'm Greg Migliore. 2015 Toyota Camry set to circle NASCAR track near you

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

Toyota recently introduced the all-new 2015 Camry for the street, so it follows that it should want to promote its new bread-and-butter sedan by putting it out on the racetrack as well. And that's just what it's done here with the release of the new Toyota Camry for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
The new Camry represents the first reskin of the standard stock car chassis since the Gen-6 model was introduced in 2012. Toyota's Calty Design studio worked closely with series organizers to determine which parts could be redesigned to more closely resemble the new production model, and what you see here is the result. Since it is based on the same control chassis as all the others, the Camry's skin is applied over a steel tube frame and powered by an old-school 5.86-liter pushrod V8 mated to a four-speed manual gearbox.
Although the idea of a Japanese automaker in American stock car racing didn't initially get the warmest reception from some of the good ol' boys when it first entered the series back in 2007, it has by now become a staple of the NASCAR circuit. After all, it's hard for even the most patriotic of racing fans to argue with the US-built Camry's ranking as one of the most American cars by content on the market.
