Factory Lockers,3rd Row Seats, 2.5" Lift, 35in Kellys, Metaltech Sliders on 2040-cars
Portland, Oregon, United States
1997 FZJ80 Collector's Edition.
$12,000 Factory (front, center, rear) Lockers, 177,300 mi, 3rd row seats OME 2. 5 lift and spacers, 35" Kelly Safaris (full spare on Collector's Rims), Metal Tech Sliders, (original running boards included) Aluminum Dash, Kenwood stereo with remote Bluetooth usb capable, Interior LED Rear LED (original lights included) Front Turn clear (original lights included) Dealer serviced up until last year or so. Mechanical and electrical in working order, a couple of minor issues that need addressing (Driver mirror, rear window washer, front windshield) Great shape for it's age, well maintained. Interior great, no rips or tears, carpet good, brand new set of collector's carpet, winter rubber mats Includes a brand new portable CB that I never used, wheeling stuff (ropes, hooks etc), the factory front and rear lights, and the running boards, shocks and springs. It's a nice, good looking mix of daily driver and capable off-roader. There are some surface rust spots on the bottom of the rear window caused by a leaking rear window sprayer. It is one of the items that needs addressing. It needs a new one attached, pump motor and spray still work. The driver mirror had the common shaking problem then the back piece of plastic snapped. I have a small piece of foam holding it place. All electrical adjustment still works. I have a brand new replacement mirror that is black but does not fold in. The front window should be replaced. It has a couple rock chips and one crack running almost the full length at the bottom. Those are the only issues with this truck. All mechanical and electrical issues and maintenance have been serviced by Toyota immediately. gauges, lights, windows, seats, air, heat, remote locks/alarm, wipers etc all operate as should. I have kept all the maintenance records since I purchased it. The head gasket has not been replaced, and I have never had a check engine light. I recently (Feb) had the rear brakes done, and the transfer case and differential fluids done, also a new locker switch as the old one was not properly attached. I 'exercised' the lockers monthly since purchasing the vehicle in 2006 from the second owner (66,00miles). I carefully wheeled the vehicle 5 or 6 times per year with various land cruiser groups. I have not been off road in over a year. I have always the service performed according to the service manual. I have put in a new starter, new batteries, repacked bearings, fluids, bushings, fluid flushes for the power steering, differentials, transfer cases, propeller shaft joints, etc all as required, through Toyota dealers. My bills (other than oil changes) range from $400 to $1400 or more, I handled what needed to be handled at the time it needed to happen. This vehicle has been sitting and there are no leaks underneath. Like most people with these trucks, I never intended to sell this vehicle, and I will be sad to see it go. It has been my daily driver and my escape for many years. I truly pampered it, while using it for what it was built for...safe, slow, and challenging wheeling. Life changes and I have to move on. NO guarantees/warranties expressed or implied ***Note***I have a clean, clear title for this vehicle. I imported it to Canada for several years, then back into the US where I currently live and work. |

Weekly Recap: Bentley Bentayga leads luxury SUV charge at Frankfurt
Sat, Sep 12 2015The Bentley Bentayga is launching a new era of ultra high-end sport utility vehicles that will see luxury makers vie for the world's richest and most exclusive customers. The Bentayga is Bentley's first SUV, and it will formally debut next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It's loaded with Bentley's best technology and features, led by a 600-horsepower W12 engine. The mission is simple: stop giving up sales to other companies by not having an SUV in its portfolio. "It creates an entirely new category of ultra-luxury SUV, where there are currently few rivals," IHS Automotive analyst Ian Fletcher said in a report. But Bentley and the Bentayga will soon face stiff competition. Archrival Rolls-Royce will produce its own crossover to be built in England, though timing is unclear. Lamborghini has approved plans for a ute that will be assembled in Italy and launch in 2018. Even the sportier British brands are getting into the market. Aston Martin will make a crossover version of the DBX concept shown earlier this year in Geneva, and Jaguar is launching the F-Pace crossover, which will debut in Frankfurt. These new entries will invigorate a segment that's comprised of the Mercedes G63 AMG and the Land Rover Range Rover SV Autobiography, and Bentley is poised to grab a large share of it, Fletcher noted. IHS forecasts Bentayga sales could hit 3,000 units per year in 2017 and 2018, pushing total Bentley sales to more than 10,000 in the next few years. The vehicle will also get plug-in hybrid and diesel variants to widen its reach. The Bentayga is a sales grab, for sure, but Bentley took care to ensure the SUV remained true to the brand. It's laden with the top-shelf wood, leather, and metal, and it comes standard with an expansive panoramic glass roof. It also has intelligent features like electronic night vision and an optional responsive off-road system that can be configured to adapt to eight different settings. It's a different kind of Bentley, but it's a harbinger of things to come for the world's richest luxury makers. Recharge Wrap-up: First EV to attempt Dakar Rally, Mazda makes bioplastic parts
Fri, Dec 12 2014Zap and Jonway Auto brought their Urbee EV and their new Falcon A-380 SUV to the Peru Motor Show in Lima. Jonway sells its SUV and minivan in Lima through Dai-Ichi Motors, which displayed the cars at the show. According to the companies, their cars "received tremendous interest from the public," including private citizens as well as groups who would use the EVs for security guard service or campus use. The state boasts almost half of the country's electric vehicles, thanks largely to state and local EV incentives that go beyond the federal tax rebate. California also leads the way in legislation, and nine other states have adopted California's ZEV mandate. Washington, Maryland, Georgia and DC also have their own EV incentives, while some utility companies also offer benefits for EV owners in other states. Still, EV sales have only made up about 0.7 percent of new vehicle sales in 2014. Read more at the US Energy Information Administration website. Toyota will be using landfill gas to help power its Kentucky manufacturing facility. Beginning in 2015, Toyota's Georgetown assembly plant will use electricity converted from landfill-sourced methane gas from Waste Services of the Bluegrass. It will provide enough energy to produce 10,000 vehicles each year. Plus it diverts methane - a greenhouse gas - from entering the atmosphere and helps improve the local air quality. Learn more in the video or Toyota's press release below. Mazda has developed a plant-derived bioplastic for making exterior and interior parts. The dyed plastic doesn't require painting, and it reduces petroleum consumption and carbon emissions in the manufacturing process. The bioplastic will be used for interior parts in the all-new MX-5 before being put into use on the exterior of future vehicles. Mazda will display prototype parts at the Eco-Products 2014 exhibit in Tokyo. Read more in the press release below. Acciona will enter the first-ever zero-emissions vehicle (pictured) to compete in the Dakar Rally. The vehicle uses an electric motor and lithium ion batteries, as well as solar panels to power telemetry and security systems. The Dakar Rally will take place from January 4 through 17 through Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. See Acciona's Dakar EV in the video and read more in the press release below.
2014 Toyota 4Runner Limited
Thu, 08 May 2014What would you say if we told you that outside of Jeep and Land Rover, the best brand for those who want to go off road is Toyota? Sounds remarkable, eh? But the truth is, Toyota's history of providing vehicles for the rougher bits of our blue marble dates back to 1950, barely a decade after Willys built the first Jeeps and only a few years after Land Rover made its big debut with the iconic Series I.
In fact, Toyota's start in off-roaders was with a small contract for providing the US Army with vehicles, during the Korean War. From that, the BJ was spawned. This Jeep-like vehicle evolved into the 20 Series and then into the iconic 40 Series Land Cruiser in the 1960s.
So yes, Toyota knows its way around the trails. While the Land Cruiser, deservedly, gets all the attention thanks to its impressive longevity, we're partial to the 4Runner, which is a far more affordable entry that serves as Toyota's challenger to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
