1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.5l on 2040-cars
Iowa City, Iowa, United States
I have for sale my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Collectors Edition SUV. Florida SUV. No Rust. Bought this vehicle recently for my wife but she didn't like it (too big for her). New alternator, radiator, ignition , tune up, brakes, belts and hoses, real axle tune up. All maintenance records from me and previous owners were saved. Previous owner owned a Yacht company in Florida and used this vehicle to show clients the boats. Never off-road! Never seen snow or salt. The bad: Front seats move like a snail . Check engine light, Abs light on. My mechanic pulled codes and said it was gas cap sensor . And if it doesn't bother you don't fix it ! Low cost fix. Other than that its perfect ! No dents ! No dings! Seats are rip free! Runs smooth ! Any questions call me at 319-530-6117 (Brett) . My buddy owns a shipping company so shipping will not be a problem! FYI: Feel free to call me! I'm a stay at home dad ! I'm available all day ! Also: Had a call about the title! It's in hand ! Free and clear ! And any reasonable offers will be reviewed ! I've had 2 calls regarding a close airport to my house and pick-up! The Cedar rapids , IA airport is 20 minutes from my house ! You could fly in and I can pick he or she up from the airport no problem! Or ship it to your house ! |

Watch Congress sample Toyota's i-Road 3-wheeler concept
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Toyota brought its new i-Road, a three-wheeled, all-electric low-speed vehicle that debuted in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show, to the Capitol for some of our elected officials to test out. As easy as it is to forget that politicians are people, too, it was refreshing to see a human side to many of them as they zipped about one of the Capitol's many meeting rooms.
We'd say their reactions were surprisingly positive. Of course, some were just down there because Toyota is a big presence in their respective districts, but the bulk of the senators and representatives seemed like they just wanted to zip about the makeshift indoor course on the leaning trike.
Take a look below at the video from Bloomberg.
Camatte concept puts the Toy back in Toyota [w/videos]
Mon, 16 Jun 2014It's been two years since Toyota first revealed its Camatte show car at the Tokyo Toy Show. Though sadly never destined for production, Toyota brought the concept back the following year as the Camatte 57s roadster, and is now returning to the same show with yet another take on the kid-friendly, configurable 1+2 with interchangeable body panels - this time with a slew of features that are fresh not only to the concept itself, but to the industry altogether.
This year the Camatte is being showcased in two forms: a bare chassis in the Tech Lab that lets kids see the inner workings of a modern automobile, and another in the Design Lab that lets kids draw their own motif for the concept that is then displayed on an LED hood.
The overall approach reminds us of the way Toyota's budget brand Daihatsu unveiled the Kopen roadster concept at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year, only even more kid-focused and decidedly more light-hearted than you might otherwise expect from one of the largest industrial giants in the world, and could only have been made for a toy exposition. In Japan. Which would explain the ridiculously upbeat videos below, where you'll also find the brief press release.
GT Academy returns, and why Gran Turismo 6 demands a pedal/wheel setup
Fri, 18 Apr 2014The path to become a racing driver is a difficult one. It requires starting early, with karts, and then building up through the years and if you're really, really good (and really, really lucky), a team will notice you and sign you up. Or, you know, you could just become really good at Gran Turismo, and beat out other like-minded fanatics for a seat in the GT Academy.
The racing school, which culls its students from the ranks of Gran Turismo players has already pumped out successful racers, most notably, Lucas Ordoñez, who has a second and third-place finish under his belt at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With the 2014 GT Academy kicking off April 21 and running through June 16, you could have a chance to be the next Ordoñez.
That won't be easy, though. We recently had a playthrough on GT6 the proper way - with a racing seat, pedals and a steering wheel, complete with column-mounted paddles. (Our setup looked just like the one you see above, though that image is from E3.) In other words, it was as close to driving an actual car as most console games can get.
