I stored it indoors all winter and it's never seen salt. Ibought it last fall and just don't have the time to use it as it should. Ihave taken in on 4 trips over the summer and it always got to and from ourdestination without issues. I am currently using it to commute to work 10 milesround trip so its hard to justify keeping it. I have a spreadsheet of all thework done by the previous owner. I have made a few minor repairs myself butnothing major. The truck will need the rear pinion bearing replaced and thefront axle needs a wheel bearing. The truck runs and drives without issueotherwise. Below is a list of the equipment that comes with the truck. It doesnot leak or burn oil at all. My plan for the exterior of the truck was to paintthe fenders but I have not gotten to it. My work situation has recently changedand I have no time to work on it and enjoy the truck so it time for some oneelse to enjoy it. Honda, Nissan and Mazda recalling 3 million vehicles for airbag inflators
Mon, 23 Jun 2014Three million more vehicles can be added to the worldwide tally to be repaired for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata. Honda, Nissan, and Mazda have all issued recalls to replace the bad part, including about 1.2 million of them in North America. NHTSA has been investigating all three companies, plus Chrysler and Toyota, for potentially affected vehicles.
Honda is recalling roughly 1.02 million Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Element models In North America, built between April 2000 and October 2002. Mazda needs to repair 14,794 units of the RX-8 and Mazda6, and Nissan has 228,000 vehicles in North America to be fixed.
Chrysler is also starting what it calls a "regional field action" to replace the inflators in the 2006 Dodge Charger, according to a company spokesperson. The company says that it has not yet found the problem in any of its vehicles, but it's being done "out of an abundance of caution." The final number of Chargers affected will be announced later this week.
Hyundai tops Toyota in annual CarMD Vehicle Health Index
Fri, 06 Dec 2013CarMD has released its third annual Vehicle Health Index, which for the 2013 tracked the frequency and cost of repairs for "check engine" problems of 119-million vehicles built between the 2003 and 2013 model years. For the first two years of the index, Toyota ranked at the top of the list, but this year's results see Hyundai moved to number one, pushing Toyota down a spot.
The Korean automaker's rise to the top has been "fueled by its low repair frequency," according to CarMD. Toyota is second to Hyundai in lowest repair frequency, but Toyotas also have the highest average cost of repair. (Interestingly, General Motors vehicles have the lowest average.) Both Toyota's and Hyundai's manufacturer "health" ratings suffered this year, but Toyota took a bigger hit, which also is what helped Hyundai achieve the top ranking.
While Hyundai is the top manufacturer in the index, the 2012 Toyota Camry is the top vehicle. The best-ranking Hyundai was the 2010 Elantra (behind three Nissan models and four Toyotas), which took the number eight spot. Hyundai has six other vehicles in the top 100.

Almost all of the details about the Toyota New Group Architecture (TNGA) strategy have come out since the initiative was first reported on in March of this year, but Autoblog did learn a few new things about it on a recent trip to Japan. Probably the second-most important detail is that each new segment platform will be based around a common hip point to create an "optimal driving position architecture."
