Albany, New York, United States

I am the original owner of this extremely nice 2011 Toyota Sport Edition Highlander. This vehicle has been very well maintained and extremely dependable. The inside is very clean and has never been smoked in. I have hard copies documenting all regularly scheduled factory oil change/service performed by a certified Toyota dealership. As the records indicate, this vehicle has been very well cared for and needs absolutely nothing. My wife and I drive it on a daily basis and it has low mileage (just under 37.5k miles), especially for a Toyota. The on demand AWD system is terrific in the winter months. The V6 engine is very smooth and provides plenty of power. All four tires match and still have some decent tread remaining on them. On the inside, the 3rd row of seating makes the vehicle very spacious. Amongst the many upgraded features on the sport edition, the optional technology package is very handy because it provides you with hands free blue tooth phone and streaming wireless mp3 music. Overall, this highlander is in very good condition and shows only normal wear such a few small light surface scratches on the paint. The only reason I am selling it is to upgrade to another brand new highlander. I believe that the new owner of this vehicle will be as pleased with it as my family and I have been.

Below are just a few of the standard and optional features included in this single owner 2011 Highlander Sport Edition which may help you to determine a reasonable offer according to the suggested Kelly Blue Book value (kbb.com).

  • V6, 3.5 liter automatic
  • All wheel drive
  • 3rd row of seating for up to 7 passengers
  • Remote keyless entry
  • Technology package - rear camera, blue tooth phone/wireless mp3, XM satellite radio capabilities
  • Power Moonroof
  • Tow package
  • Heated leather front seats
  • Power seats and door locks
  • Rear airconditioning
  • Factory floor mats throughout
  • Second row captains chairs
The title on this highlander is clean. As the Carfax report shows, the vehicle also has a perfect history report. The basic factory warranty expired at 36k miles but Toyota warranties the drivetrain for 5 years/60k miles. Before bidding please note that I have an auto loan/lien with Citizens bank that will need to be satisfied in order to complete the transfer of the vehicle to the new owner. Upon receiving payment, Citizens bank will mail the lien release in 3-5 business days. The only payment that I will accept form the winning bidder is a certified U.S. bank check. If you live with driving distance of the Albany, NY area, I would more than happy to show you the vehicle and meet in person before bidding and finalizing the transaction through Ebay. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions.

Toyota teams with FirstElement Fuel on 19 hydrogen stations in California

Fri, May 2 2014

Cross Toyota with a former General Motors and Hyundai executive and you might just get some real momentum when it comes to hydrogen refueling station deployment. Toyota and FirstElement Fuel Inc., which is headed by ex-GM and Hyundai executive Joel Ewanick, are working together on a project designed to complement California's agreement to spend about $200 million building 100 stations in the state. And while Toyota didn't put out any specific numbers, Automotive News reports that FirstElement received a $27.6 million grant from the California Energy Commission to build 19 stations, which will be sited at existing fueling spots and spaced far enough apart to be reachable by anyone within the state. In all, California has granted $47 million for the deployment of 28 new stations. Additionally, Toyota will get Linde to build a refueling station on a Toyota-owned property in the San Francisco Bay Area's San Ramon, Calif. Toyota, which is targeting a full-tank range of 300 miles and a five-minute refueling time for its fuel-cell sedan, had its fuel-cell prototype make its North American debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. The company said at the time that 68 stations could serve 10,000 hydrogen vehicles. And while that station number doesn't sound terribly high, consider that there are fewer than 10 hydrogen refueling stations in California now. Check out Toyota's press release below and Autoblog's impressions from a drive of one of Toyota's fuel-cell prototypes late last year here. Toyota Collaborates with FirstElement, Providing Financial Assistance to Facilitate a Hydrogen Refueling Network in Targeted California Locations Toyota also will collaborate with hydrogen provider Linde, which will build a public hydrogen refueling facility at the Toyota San Francisco Regional Office May 01, 2014 TORRANCE, Calif. (May 1, 2014) – "The issue of hydrogen refueling infrastructure is not so much about how many stations; but rather, location, location, location," stated Bob Carter, senior vice president, Automotive Operations, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS), just four months ago at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas where he unveiled a hydrogen fuel cell sedan due to launch in 2015. "Solutions are being found through collaboration between government, academia, carmakers and energy providers.

Toyota TRD Pro Chase Trucks are ready to hit the desert at SEMA

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Toyota marks the 35th anniversary of its Toyota Racing Development performance arm this year, and the division is celebrating at this year's SEMA Show with a quartet of tuned off-roaders based on on the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra that look more than ready to go just about anywhere.
All four of them will take part in this year's Baja 1000 race, but only the Tundra (far left in the above photo) is actually competing. The other three will be there to act as support vehicles.
Inspired by the production TRD Pro Series trucks, the 4Runner, Tacoma and Tundra are prepared by off-road fabricator N-Fab with a mix of TRD and the company's own parts to be able to take whatever the grueling, 1,000-mile can throw at them. The trio is fettled with extra communications equipment, GPS, additional lights and all sorts of body and suspension modifications to help them survive the ordeal.

New version of Toyota FT-1 Concept gets racy for Gran Turismo 6

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

Gran Turismo 6 has been the preferred marketing springboard for quite a few brands and concept cars since its debut last winter. Specifically the GT Vision concept idea - allowing manufacturers a built-in place to offer up new, original, drivable content - has enticed the likes of Mercedes, Nissan, Volkswagen, Toyota and more to dream big on the digital stage before pulling the sheets back on real concept cars.
In fact, Toyota teamed its live reveal of the FT-1 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show with an in-game launch of the car, just this past January. Looking for a second bite at the GT6 apple, Toyota has just released a teaser video for a new, FT-1 Vision GT version of the same concept.
The company isn't giving us much to go on save for the 30-second video, saying only that the concept was penned by Toyota's Calty Design Research team in California, and that it will "soon be available for download." By the looks of it, the new FT-1 seems to be more of a racecar than the original, without obvious changes to the basic form. No word on whether or not there's a physical concept car in the offing at a yet-to-be-named auto show. Stay tuned.
