Excellent SUV from top to bottom. Just traded in here in the Atlanta area. Was a Pfizer drug reps car, so all highway miles. The V6 sounds great and has alot of power matted to the automatic transmission that shifts right through all the gears as it should. The brakes are strong with good pedal and the suspension rides smooth and quietly. Dry underneath with no dipping fluids. Has a few extra miles on it, but hits the road great and straight as an arrow down the road. The exterior has a few minor scratches and is missing the fog light cover on the drivers side. The paint shows very well with no dents or dings. Loaded like any Highlander should be with power options, rear climate, Ice cold air and CD sound. No bad smells, damage or issues, very clean on the inside. If your looking for a great family SUV that needs nothing and can put up with a few extra miles, this would be you. It's a Toyota, these things run forever and this one will be no exception. I try and do my very best in describing, taking photos and representing cars for my fellow Ebayer's. Please look at ALL the pictures and keep in mind that you are looking at a USED car, not a new one. I have 100% positive feedback! Call Thomas (404)-561-1653. Thanks for looking.

Toyota confirms i-Road electric trike for production

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The wacky, three-wheeled Toyota i-Road we saw in Geneva earlier this year will be heading to production. But before you run down to your local Toyota dealer looking for one of these all-electric "personal mobility" vehicles, chances are, you'll never actually see one unless you visit Japan.
Announced at the Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) expo last week, Toyota said that the i-Road would be used as a part of the Ha:Mo car-sharing system in Japan. Weighing in at around 661 pounds, with a 28-mile-per-hour top speed and a two-passenger seating arrangement, the i-Road seems more like a fully enclosed scooter than a car, but it does offer a 30-mile driving range and has a nifty articulating front suspension that leans into corners. As for Ha:Mo, Toyota says that the number of cars in the program will increase from 10 prior to October 1 to 100 by the middle of this month, and the number of stations will almost double from 13 up to 21. Toyota has more details about the car and Ha:Mo in the press release posted below.

Expedition drives from Russia to Canada over North Pole...

Tue, 21 May 2013

No, a Ford Expedition did not drive from Russia to Canada via the North Pole, but that's exactly what a team of intrepid explorers accomplished recently. Using specially-modified buses with massive tires, the group slowly drove 2,485 miles in 70 days over drifting ice, occasionally using a pickaxe to clear a path and staying on guard for chasms that could open up and plunge the team into the frigid arctic waters. Average speeds were about 6 mph, "at the speed of a (farm) tractor." While the big tires technically allowed the buses to float if the need arose, the team preferred to stay out of the water to keep the suspension from getting coated in thick, hard ice. Falling in on foot would mean almost certain death.
According to Phys.org, the buses were powered by Toyota diesel engines, but were built with prototype parts from a previous driving expedition to the North Pole. Right now, the machines are parked in a garage in Canada's Resolute Bay while the the team rests up with family back home. They plan to continue their trek to back across the Bering Straight to Russia. If successful, the team may eventually offer a version of their buses for commercial sale.

Vote to unionize Toyota Canada plant faces delay

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

Volkswagen isn't the only automaker with high-profile unionization efforts afoot at one of its North American factories. Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union, is attempting to organize Toyota's factories in Ontario, reports Reuters. A vote was originally set for next week, but Unifor has apparently found more workers eligible to vote, delaying the proceedings. It hasn't rescheduled the ballot yet, but claims there are 7,500 employees with the right to vote, with over 3,000 having already signed union cards.
Toyota is pushing against organizing, saying that workers already have a payment and benefits near the top of the industry, and noting that it has never laid off a permanent employee in Canada. Unifor has reportedly countered by saying that about a quarter of the workforce is operating under a temporary contract, which receives lower benefits.
The automaker has three factories in Ontario - two in Cambridge and one in Woodstock. To form a union, a majority of eligible employees must vote to join Unifor. If successful, they would be the first wholly owned Toyota plants in North America to be organized. Previous attempts to unionize the Japanese automaker's Canadian factories in 2001 and 2008 failed due to lack of support.
