You are looking at a wonderfully kept and meticulously maintained 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser in Voodoo Blue with white accent top equipped with roof rails.  This car is fully serviced with oil change having just been performed and all brakes replaced in the last 400 miles.

Powered by a 239 HP 4.0L V6, this FJ cruiser is as happy at home on the highway (where most of the miles on this one came from) as it is winding down your nearest dirt road.  Gas mileage for a truck like this is amazing at over 23 MPG on our last highway trip!  With a robust and lockable 4WD system, you won't be locked in the house no matter the weather.

This truck has lived in the Southeast its whole life and is currently with the second owner's brother in law (me) at my house in Milton, GA.  Happy to help with local delivery or within a few hundred miles.  Available for inspection any time you make an appointment.

The exterior is in amazing shape.  Very minimal scratches or dings.  Upgraded TRD wheels are in amazing shape.  Tires are still good, but that would be an option to explore in the next 10k miles.  Clutch is tight and engages perfectly with no issue.  Brakes are brand new and oil has literally just been changed.  Tow package is also on this vehicle as it was used to tow a small flatbed trailer for mountain bike trips to Pisgah and Pinhotti for overnight stays.  Interior is in great shape with the only scratching being in the back compartment from mountain bike wheels and parts being thrown in it.  Still shines like new, just a little bit scratchy on the plastic.

I am supremely confident that if you have been looking for one of these trucks, you have landed on the right one.  This truck is in need of nothing.  Everything works perfectly as it should, all power equipment is in fully functional condition.  No strage noises or creaks.  Adult owned and highway driven.

Any questions feel free to reach out.  Happy to help in any way that I can.

How Toyota's neighbor delayed 23,000 of its deliveries

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

Don't you just hate when your neighbors' mess becomes your problem? Toyota certainly has good reason to be upset, after an dirty mishap at a steel mill delayed thousands of vehicle exports from its nearby port in Nagoya, Japan, (pictured above) by as much as a month.
The messy situation occurred on June 22 when the mill near the port lost power and had to burn off an excess buildup of coke oven gas - which isn't exactly a situation friendly to living beings or the environment. According to Automotive News, it caused a massive amount of smoke to emit from the plant that fell as soot and tar on about 23,000 vehicles that were waiting to be shipped out. Getting the models properly cleaned off has been quite a task. A team of 5,000 workers were at the port until this week getting them gleaming again.
Potential Toyota buyers in North America have no need to fret about getting a sullied car, though. A Toyota spokesperson told Automotive News that none of the vehicles were bound for this continent. The automaker is reportedly considering asking the mill's owners for reimbursement for the cost of the weeks of cleanup. Paying for the mistake is, after all, the neighborly thing to do.

Fuel cells will flop outside Japan, says VW

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

"It may fly within Japan, but not globally," VW's Shoji said.
It's long been battered into our beleaguered auto writer brains that the ultimate future source of motivation for tomorrow's cars and trucks is not gasoline, diesel, electricity, natural gas, propane or solar power - it's the hydrogen fuel cell. It's been the Next Big Thing since the start of Next Big Things.

Legal approach in $1.2 billion Toyota settlement could impact handling of GM recall cases

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

In the past, if an automaker did something wrong, they were usually prosecuted by the US government through something called the TREAD Act. Short for Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation Act, it basically requires automakers to report recalls in other countries, along with any and all serious injuries or deaths, to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Failing to report or attempting to conceal anything when there's been a death or serious injury constitutes a criminal liability. The idea is that this setup puts the onus on manufacturers to keep NHTSA apprised of safety related issues before they become a problem in the US, thereby allowing the regulator to better protect consumers.
In theory, it sounds like a relatively airtight set of rules for dealing with misbehaving automakers. That didn't stop the US Department of Justice from ignoring TREAD in its prosecution of Toyota's handling of the unintended acceleration recall, though. The result of this new approach, which charged Toyota with wire fraud, was a $1.2 billion settlement. Now, the wire-fraud approach could be used for the expected case between the US government and General Motors, based on the statements of Attorney General Eric Holder, who specifically mentioned "similarly situated companies" when discussing Toyota.
