Up for sale is my 2008 FJ Cruiser I have build over the past 3 years. I took my time and did my research to make sure all these components will work flawlessly together. The vehicle is an awesome machine. Extremely comfortable on and off road. It has the factory rear locker and a-trac to get you pretty much out of any situation. This FJ has been off road just 5 times to test everything and make sure everything works as it should. The rear shocks are adjustable and I used 3.5 inch springs to compensate for any additional weight such as small trailer, roof top tent, drawer system etc. I have hand washed the underneath after every trip. I hate to see it go but my priorities have shifted to my 1996 Lexus LX450. I have all the receipts for all the modifications and maintenance. The NADA clean retail on this FJ is 21,500 without any modifications. There is over 10k in aftermarket parts not including the labor. The BUY IT NOW PRICE IS 23,500 OBO Armor:Rockteck LCA skids Front and Back All Pro E Locker Guard Icon Shin guards Richochet Full Set HD Skids Anodized Orange Demello Sliders Trailworkx Fab Front Bumper Metaltech 4x4 rear swing out bumper Comunication Midland 75-822 Firestick 4ft Antenna Bandi Mount Blue Seas Dual USB Charger Drive Train Odyysey 1150 Scuba Mod Goodyear Wrangler MTRs Spidertrax Wheel Spacers Amsoil 75w - 90 Fluids T-Case FD and RD at 62000 Amsoil Oil Change 71550 Full Rust Proof and Paint at 60,000 Royal Purple Fuel System Cleaner TJM Snorkel Front Fox 2.5 Coilovers with remote res/Rear 2.0 Fox Remote Res with Adjustable compression demp at 63500 miles All-Pro UCAs All-Pro Rear LCAs Sway Bar Links 825-SBE702 Changed front break pads 64,000 to TRD RecoveryTJM Jack TJM 10k Winch Vision X Rock Lights

Toyota nearing $1B settlement of unintended acceleration criminal probe

Sun, 09 Feb 2014

According to those all-too-nebulous "people familiar with the matter," Toyota is close to a settlement with the US federal government to end a criminal probe over its long-running unintended acceleration fiasco. Though Toyota has never admitted guilt, the deal could reportedly crest a billion dollars and would likely include a criminal deferred prosecution agreement, and while we're not legal experts, The Wall Street Journal explains that such a deal would "[force Toyota] to accept responsibility while avoiding the potentially crippling consequences of federal criminal convictions."
The report from WSJ also suggests that Toyota is facing charges that it "made false or incomplete disclosures" to various government agencies regarding possible defects to its cars. Such charges may include mail and wire fraud violations. Toyota has already paid out fines totaling $66.2 million to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration because it failed to report safety defects in a timely manner.
This deal with the federal government is not related to the billion-dollar class-action settlement reached with Toyota owners over falling vehicle values, and it's also different from the roughly 400 lawsuits still in courts alleging personal injury of wrongful death due to cases of unintended acceleration. In other words, don't expect to hear the end of such courtroom verdicts and settlements anytime soon...

Toyota nudges US sales projections up to 2.25M

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

Toyota has raised its expectations for 2013's US sales for the third time since the end of 2012. The new target rests at 2.25 million units, when sales of Toyota, Lexus and Scion are taken as one. Subtracting Lexus, Toyota is still expecting to move over two million vehicles in the US by the end of 2013.
According to a report from Automotive News, the sales expectations came from Bob Carter, senior VP of automotive operations for Toyota USA, during a dealers during a meeting in Atlanta. The heightened expectations go along with Toyota's predictions for the US market as a whole, which it expects to grow to 15.5 million units by the end of 2013.
Besides an overall, national uptick in new vehicle sales, Toyota is also expecting a big push as it puts the next-generation Corolla to market during the second half of this year, along with the Tundra pickup truck. Meanwhile, dealers were shown images of a refreshed Camry, set to arrive in 2015, and reported that it's "more than a nip and a tuck," according to the AN report.

Autoblog Minute: VW Q3 financial woes, 2015 Tokyo Motor Show

Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. Copyright Office offers a ruling affecting car owners, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. copyright office offers a ruling that affects car owners and gear heads, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. After a week away testing vehicles for Autoblog's Tech of the Year award, we're back in the office to recap the week in automotive news. [00:00:30] One of the things you might have missed was Consumer Reports pulling its recommendation of Tesla's Model S sedan. The blemish for Tesla comes after a tally of reviews from customer surveys. The most common problem areas for the Model S as cited by survey takers included: the drivetrain, power equipment, charging equipment, body and sunroof squeaks, rattles, and leaks. So lots of stuff. Though they could not ignore a score of "worse-than-average", Consumer Reports still [00:01:00] highlighted the fact that the Model S was "the best performing car" they've ever tested. Telsa CEO Elon Musk took to social media to defend his sedans saying: "Consumer Reports reliability survey includes a lot of early production cars. Already addressed in new cars." And, "Tesla gets top rating of any company in service. Most important, CR says 97% of owners expect their next car to be a Tesla (the acid test)." In Financial news, Volkswagen took a hit and reported an operating loss of [00:01:30] $3.84 billion. This is the first such loss for VW in 15 years. Toyota reclaimed the crown as the world's largest automaker as well. It's important that it's not all doom and gloom for VW though in Q3. Sales revenues were up and the company's automotive division boasts $30 billion dollars in liquid assets. It's a sizable war chest that will no doubt come in handy, as the company has yet to feel the full brunt of the diesel emissions scandal. Good news for gear heads. The US copyright office [00:02:00] ruled in favor of mechanics and car owners by granting an exception to existing copyright law. The law was originally meant to prevent software pirating and bootlegging of Hollywood movies.
