2007 Toyota Fj Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
South Haven, Michigan, United States
2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my cruiser!!! Only problem is....I had a 4th baby! Not the best for a family of 6 when you only have 5 seats. I REALLY do not want to sell but it is not practical for our family any more. I will be sad to see it go, its such a fun ride! This FJ has been VERY well taken care of by my mechanic husband:) I have owned it for 5 years, I am the 2nd owner. It has been stored indoors for the past 3 winters. No Rust. Interior has only 1 flaw (see picture) It's from one of the kids cars seats. I didn't realize there was a sharp plastic piece on the back of the car seat and it ended up rubbing a hole in the head rest of the center back seat. Easily replaceable. There are 2 small flaws on the exterior passenger side door, a hair line scratch(not sure where it came from...guessing maybe a cart in store parking lot) and a very small nick from when taking my kayak off the rack ( see pictures). Other than that...this FJ looks AWESOME!!! Let me tell ya about the stereo:) One of the BEST parts!! The original owner put it in. It's a Pioneer Model CD-IB100 2. Has Ipod adapter and is blue tooth enabled, GPS, subwoofer which I replaced in 2012. Total cost of products and installation came to $3997. I have all original receipts from the previous owner. Any question....please feel free to contact me. Or if you want me to send you any close up pictures of anything specific.
THANK YOU! And happy bidding:)

This first-gen Toyota Celica is one mean mother
Tue, 09 Jul 2013Brian Karasawa's gen-one Toyota Celica is, in a word, badass. As a long-standing fan of the marque, the doting owner has tried to both restore and improve his Celica keeping period-correct modifications in mind. The 20R/22R mashup engine is outputting roughly 185 horsepower and graced with a lot of JDM-specific parts and modifications. Clearly, the exhaust has been upgraded from stock, as clips of the orange Toyota in motion are accompanied by one hell of a nice sound.
Tastes clearly vary, and there's not as much love for the first-wave of Japanese metal as there is for similar era American-iron, but we're pleased to see these cars finally getting more time in the spotlight. Scroll down below to see why we're stoked, and consider cruising your local Craigslist for late 1970s and early 1980s Japanese coolness (before we get there first).
Toyota launches Pixis Space; first kei cars are Daihatsus in drag
Fri, 09 Sep 2011Toyota has announced that it will unveil its first-ever kei car to be sold under its recently launched Pixis sub-brand. The vehicle, called the Pixis Space, will make its official debut in late September. Based on the Daihatsu Move Conte, the Pixis Space will be sold at Toyota dealerships through what the automakers calls "Pixis stations." Yes, seriously.
After Toyota's version of the Daihatsu Move Conte makes its debut, the Japanese automaker will launch a Pixis-badged Daihatsu Hijet truck and microvan in December. By the end of 2012, Toyota says it will launch a Pixis version of the upcoming Daihatsu e:S - a vehicle that returns 70.6 miles per gallon (U.S.) as measured under Japan's JC08 test cycle.
In case you weren't aware, Daihatsu - Japan's oldest manufacturer of automobiles - operates under the control of Toyota. In other words, these Pixis machines are simply badge engineering at the kei level.
Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?
Thu, 25 Sep 2014People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.
