2000 Toyota Celica GT-S

6-Speed Manual with 2-ZZGE Yamaha designed VVTL-I motor
I have owned this vehicle since August of 2008. It has been one of the greatest vehicles I have ever owned.
I have not used any oil but Mobil 1, and Premium fuel.
In April this Celica will be 14 years old and with any 14 year old car it has its issues.

PROS
VVTL-I
TRD cat-back exhaust (non-Kizuma)
Injen full length CAI
6-point grounding system
DVD entertainment system
Alpine V12 amplifier with built in capacitor
Infinity 12" Kappa Gold subwoofer
Prewired for XM radio
Brand new Sumitomo HTRZ-II tires ( less than 500 miles on them)
Brand new rear calipers (waited two weeks for these)
Brand new rear rotors (rebuilt parking brake while in there)
Brand new ceramic pads all the way around
Front calipers and rotors may have about 3000 miles on them
2000 ECU with 9400rpm redline
All features of this car work, power windows/locks, A/C is ice cold, Cruise Control

CONS
Slight rust on drivers door and inner door jamb.(body guy can fix this in a couple hours)
Uses Premium only gas ( you get 28-30 mpg on the highway)
Gas door fell off (common issue I guess seeing as I have seen many this way)
Sunroof opens and closes just needs help opening (sticks, but seals fine)
Will need a shifter boot and knob

This car has been very good to me. But it is time for someone else to enjoy. The car is for sale locally so I do have the right to end this listing at anytime.  For any questions related to the car feel free to email me @ roadrunner4sale@hotmail.com or call/text @ 570-647-8272.
The car is PA inspected until the end of the month. The car is Located in Andover, NJ
I would get in and drive this car anywhere.

Toyota Camry Dragster takes the phrase 'sleeper' to its logical extreme [w/video]

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Sometimes, looks can be deceiving. This is certainly one of those times, as Toyota successfully trolled the entirety of the media corps at the 2014 SEMA Show by rolling an innocent-looking Camry onto the floor... only to lift literally the entirety of its body to reveal an 850-horsepower, tube-framed dragster. Well, we have been asking for a more driver-oriented Toyota.
While it's designed to go fast in a straight line, the origin of the Camry Dragster's parts might be surprising. The 5.7-liter V8 engine, transmission, rear axle and electronics were plucked from the Toyota Tundra pickup. Toyota Racing Development donated a supercharger, while a wet-nitrous-injection system was also tacked on for that little extra something. Those goodies will help propel this anonymous looking monster through the quarter mile in just 9.8 seconds.
"This is the most extreme build we've ever unveiled at SEMA," said Toyota's motorsports chief Steve Appelbaum said in a statement. "The transformation from seemingly stock Camry to full-blown racecar just shocks the senses. Chuck Wade and the team at Motorsports Technical Center did a truly spectacular job executing the vision of this project."

Santa swaps his sleigh for a Ferrari-powered Toyota

Fri, Dec 23 2016

A Ferrari-powered Toyota 86 is sure to garner a bit of attention, as well it should. We've been paying attention throughout this build, so it should be no surprise then that Santa did as well. He's ditched his red sleigh for the Gumout GT4586 in this video. If you've been following along, you know that Ryan Tuerck and Gumout built this completely bonkers machine that's far more exciting than some previous Japanese/Italian mash-up automobiles. Donut Media has been doing their part to document and promote every stage of the process. This new video is filled with the gratuitous amounts of lights, noise, and tire smoke that Donut is known for. We don't know the conversion from horsepower to reindeerpower, but the GT4586 should provide plenty of oomph for Santa's Christmas trek. Vice chronicles Okinawa's illegal street racing scene

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

We all know that street racing is dangerous, and that motorsports are best left on the track or drag strip. However, that doesn't mean that there still isn't some outlaw allure among enthusiasts of racing on public roads. In this video, Vice Japan profiles Eikichi Nagayoshi of Japan's island of Okinawa. He is a used car dealer by day and an illegal racer by night.
Nagayoshi has a deep love for his highly customized Toyota Aristo (better known to us as a first-generation Lexus GS) that he claims produces over 1,000 horsepower and has hit 205 miles per hour. He races his car both on drag strips and in drifting competitions, but says that he often has to ship the car to mainland Japan to compete. In the absence of those opportunities, he sometimes gathers friends and takes the racing to the public roads. While we're not down with street racing, this Vice video is an intriguing personality piece, as well as a look into Japan's fabled underground racing scene. Scroll down to check out the video, but make sure you have the "CC" button clicked, because several portions are subtitled.
