This is a fantastic opportunty to own a very well cared for One Family Owned, 1991 Toyota Celica GT Convertible"Only 62K" This Celica GT is incredibly clean, with Very Very Low Mileage and spent its' entire life in Northern California.
Every where you look this car is very clean. This car was owned by an older Lady who passed it on to her Nephew. It was her pride and joy. We purchased it from the Nephew directly. These cars where very expensive for that time, thus not that many where produced. It comes with a copy of the Original Window Sticker and all the original booklets in the Glovebox.

This is a very sought after body style of Toyota Celica, and are hard to find with low mileage and automatic transmission, and body in this condition.

It has always been very well maintained and cared for, and has always been pampered and never abuse, and it had to have been garaged it's entire life.

It is ready tobe an everyday driver or be saved as a Weekend Toy.

The Exterior: is in very very nice condition. The Gloss Black Paint, has great shine and depth with very very minor scratches or rock chips, visible only under very close inspection (Really none). It is also a Power Top that works great and the top itself is in fantastic shape and has a completley clear back window. The Factory Boot is in the trunk with the original storage case it comes with when new.
  •

It also has the Alloy Wheels, and comes with good Tires.

The Interior: is also in very nice condition with really no wear. Very good Condition It comes completely stock with, Tilt, Cruise, A/C (ice cold). It also comes with Power Windows and Power Locks, Ect... It all works.

The pictures do not do this Celica GT, justice, it is better in person.

The dash is in great condition and still has the Factory Stereo installed that sounds great. The carpet shows very little wear as do the Seats.

This Car runs and drives fantastic (Unblievably Well). It has great power and drives tight, and brakes straight and smooth. It comes with the 2.2L. 4Cyl Engine and Automatic Transmission that makes this car a real pleasure to drive, and still gets good gas mileage.

This is a well cared for One Family Owned Toyota Celica GT Convertible combined with Very Very Low Mileage, and in Beautiful Condition, makes this a "DON'T MISS OPPORTUNITY"!!!

All cars are sold As/Is and all inspections are to be done prior to bidding.

Toyota celebrates 30 years of 4Runner with... incentives?

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Many Americans view their 30th birthdays as significant milestones, even though the average life expectancy here is more than 2.5 times that age. So you might think Toyota would be keen to party over the 30th anniversary of its 4Runner, since most models don't even live to half that age. You can put that idea away unless you consider discounts of $500 to $1,000 something worthy of cake and kazoos, since it appears that's all the birthday SUV will get. That's right, not even a trim-and-tape special edition or so much as a sticker. We asked Toyota for comment and were told they had "No other 30th anniversary 4Runner items to announce at the time."
So, about those incentives: they climb from $500 on the SR5 and Trail editions to $750 on Premium models and $1,000 on the Limited trims. Toyota says they're available at dealerships now and will last for the entire year. There's a press release below with a little more background, and there's a sad violin playing somewhere in the distance.
Disappointed, party of one, your table is now ready...

Import pickup truck-killing Chicken Tax to be repealed?

Tue, Jun 30 2015

After over 50 years, the so-called Chicken Tax may finally be going the way of the dodo. Two pending trade deals with countries in the Pacific Rim and Europe potentially could open the US auto market up to imported trucks, if the measures pass. Although, it still might be a while before you can own that Volkswagen Amarok or Toyota Hilux, if ever. The 25-percent import tariff that the Chicken Tax imposes on foreign trucks essentially makes the things all but impossible to sell one profitably in the US, which lends a distinct advantage to domestic pickups. Both the Trans-Pacific Partnership with 12 counties and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the European Union would finally end the charge. According to Automotive News though, don't expect new pickups to flood the market, at least not immediately. These deals might roll back the tariff gradually over time, and in the case of Japan, it could be as long as 25 years before fully free trade. Furthermore, Thailand, a major truck builder in Asia, isn't currently part of the deal, and any new models here would still need to meet safety and emissions rules, as well. Automotive News gauged the very early intentions of several automakers with foreign-built trucks, and they weren't necessarily champing at the bit to start imports. Toyota thinks the Hilux sits between the Tundra and Tacoma, and Mazda doesn't think the BT-50 fits its image here. Also, VW doesn't necessarily want to bring the Amarok over from Hannover. There is previous precedent for companies at least considering bringing in pickup trucks after the Chicken Tax's demise, though. The Pacific free trade deal could be done as soon as this fall, while the EU one is likely further out, according to Automotive News. Given enough time, the more accessible ports could allow some new trucks to enter the market.

Despite slow sales, no new Scion models in near-term pipeline [w/poll]

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

According to a top Toyota executive, the Japanese automaker will not be introducing any fresh Scion models in the near future, Reuters reports. As of August, Scion sales for this year were down 1.6 percent from 2012 and accounted for only 0.3 percent of Toyota's overall US sales. And last month, Toyota Motor Sales USA Senior Vice President Bob Carter informed the 1,000 dealers who carry Scion that they can drop the brand without penalty.
However, never fear - Carter has assured that, while nothing new is coming for at least six months, the company is still very committed to the quirky Scion brand. Toyota launched Scion, which targets the youth market, in 2003, and sales peaked in 2006. The brand currently has five models, with the 2013 best-sellers being the FR-S sports coupe followed by the tC sedan and xB hatchback.
What do you think about Toyota's decision to hold off on introducing new or refreshed Scion models? Are they heading in the right direction, or does this spell doom for the funky Gen Y brand?
