1980 Toyota Celica St Coupe 2-door 2.2l Sunchaser on 2040-cars
Portland, Connecticut, United States
This model is a Sunchaser convertible made by Toyota and convertible conversions were made by Griffith co. for the Toyota company. I looked up history and read that there were only 500 made in 1980. This car was originally from South Carolina and I have owned it for about 1 1/2 years. It has no rust on body or on frame. Floors are solid, I have had the carpets out to verify this. Driven mostly on weekends. It has a 20R 4 cylinder engine historically known to be very reliable and a 5 speed standard transmission with a good clutch. All new tires. Car is mostly original except for parts listed below which are stock replacement parts. Radiator has been cleaned and tested. New rear coil springs replaced, new rear shocks, new carburetor, new distributor, plugs, ignition wires and new vacuum advance, exhaust manifold gasket set, new clutch slave cylinder. Driver door was replaced. It was less expensive than a repair. Door fits well as shown in pictures. The car could use a paint job. It should be reasonable, as its only the bottom half'. Have upholstery material for seat repair. This car has only 77,496 original miles. A great car for someone who wants a minor project and a nice summer ride.

YouTube's Super Bowl commercial buzz list dominated by automakers [w/videos]
Thu, 31 Jan 2013After Sunday's big game, YouTube will be the place to watch every commercial that you missed when you left your seat for an emergency guac refill or, as we say in Cleveland, took the Browns to the Super Bowl. That makes YouTube the nation's water cooler on Monday, and it's got some preliminary stats to share in the lead up to kickoff.
As you know, Super Bowl advertisers, particularly automakers, like to endlessly tease their big budget commercials in the weeks before the game, many times revealing them outright days in advance. Because of this, YouTube can tell us which commercials have been viewed the most so far, and their top five list is all automakers.
Kaley Cuoco appears to have been a good investment for Toyota, as her ad for the RAV4 has garnered the most YouTube views - six million and counting - among Super Bowl commercials so far. Second place goes to Mercedes-Benz, though not its actual Super Bowl commercial, but rather the teaser for it. You know, the one with Kate Upton and the car washing, which is up to 5.6 million views. Third place is Audi's Prom commercial (3.3M views), fourth goes to Volkswagen's slightly controversial Get In, Get Happy ad (3.3M views), and the fifth and final spot is bookended by the teaser video for Kaley Cuoco's commercial (3.2M views). You can watch all five in order below.
Who sold the most small/midsize pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates that, too
Wed, 27 Feb 2013PickupTrucks.com has taken another look at the sales of its favorite vehicle bodystyle as part of an ongoing series. According to registration data from R.L. Polk, the Toyota Tacoma easily took the crown as America's best-selling mid-sized pickup, with 133,477 units rolling into new homes in 2012. For comparison, the second-place Nissan Frontier only saw 50,566 registrations.
We feel compelled to point out that before Ford pulled the plug on its ancient Ranger, the company was moving some 75,000 units per year. That number had shriveled to 15,662 by 2012, which was still enough to surpass the Honda Ridgeline. Interestingly enough, one person brought home a brand-new Hummer H3T as well. But mid-sized trucks represent only a fraction of total pickup sales. Dealers sold a total of 241,471 midsizers last year compared to 988,326 half-tons.
That segment was dominated by General Motors with 533,814 sales followed by Ford at 478,204. Ram Trucks trailed behind in third with 241,204 units with Toyota close behind at 229,769. Nissan, meanwhile, remains a distant fifth. Head over to PickupTrucks.com for a closer look at the breakdown in each segment.
