Camry Le Sedan 4 Dr Sedan Beige Metallic 2.2l L4 16v Front Wheel Drive on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
1992 Toyota Camry Beige Sedan 4 Door Automatic This auction is for a used 1992 Toyota Camry, with 217,500 miles. Although this car has high miles, it has been well maintained for it's whole 20+ year life and was always parked in a garage until this past December. Me and my wife where the second owner of this car, and we have taken good care of it just as the first owner did. My wife has used this car as her daily driver for the last 10 years, so 80-90% of the car miles have been on the highway. This car starts every morning and runs like a champ. This would be a great first car for a young driver, or for anyone who needs a dependable family car for daily or weekly use, as it provides good safety with great gas mileage. This car is not perfect, but is in great condition considering it's age. The air condition blows way cold, and is the best AC I've ever had on a car(was just recharged last year). There are a few nicks and scratches in the paint, but the body is straight, with no dents or accident damage. The interior is also very nice. The timing belt was just replaced at 195,000 miles, so that doesn't need to be done for awhile. Brakes all around where done about 6 months ago, so those are good as well. Typical mechanical wear and tear are the cars only issues. The engine has a small oil leak(comes and goes), and the tires are good, but will need changing soon depending on driving habits. The AM/FM radio works, but the cassette no longer functions properly. Overall this car is very nice, and runs great. I haven't sold an automobile on Ebay in about 8 years, so I'm not that well versed in the process, but I do sale goods on a regular basis, so I know how to provide good customer service to all buyers. This car is currently located in the centennial hills area of Las Vegas NV, 89149. I'm not apposed to selling out of state, but this transaction needs to be CASH ONLY(cashiers check or money order), and the car is being sold AS-IS. I tried to described everything as best I could, but I'm only human, so I'm sure I may have missed something. If you have any question, concerns, or interest, please feel free to email me or call. My name is Chris, and my contact number is 702-666-3932, I can be called or text at this number. If your in the city, please contact me for a viewing and or test drive if your interested. I am open to offers, but the BIN price is close to what I would like to get, as this car is in better shape than most. |

Toyota Aygo stars in 'invisible driver' prank
Sat, 14 Jun 2014We love a good automotive-themed prank. Rémi Gaillard remains a favorite, although maybe we should take a closer look at MagicOfRahat, another online prankster. Rahat, who has developed a bit of a reputation for blending in with car seats, giving the impression that there's no one behind the wheel, has taken his talents to Europe, in a new video for Toyota.
Dressed to look like the seat of the new Toyota Aygo, Rahat goes about town freaking out tollbooth operators, valets, fast food servers and even receiving a bit of unwanted attention from the police. The result is, as is usually the case with this prank, pretty darn amusing. We were kind of hoping he'd pop up and give his victims a fright, as he did in his Halloween video, but alas, that wasn't to be.
Take a look below for the full video.
Toyota Hilux successor spotted
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The midsize truck segment is suddenly seemingly exploding with new vehicles worldwide, even here in North America. Not only will the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon be available very soon, Toyota is already testing a replacement for its aging Tacoma and Honda has promised a Ridgeline replacement within the next 18 months. Also, the recently shown Nissan Navara is said to portend the future of our Frontier. Here's some more fresh evidence from Europe of this pickup boom with the next generation of its venerable Hilux in testing.
Thanks to Top Gear and sometimes the evening news, the Hilux has built a reputation of being able to go just about anywhere. According to out spy shooter, this particular pickup was spotted during hot weather testing in southern Europe. Interestingly, a Volkswagen Amarok was along for the ride as a benchmark. Because the VW tends to offer a bit more comfort than the generally utilitarian Hilux, this could indicate Toyota is considering taking the new truck in a slightly comfier, more refined direction.
Compared to the current model, this camouflaged tester sports a narrower front grille and headlights. The hood scoop is also absent here. The lower air dam also receives a more horizontal look, but the more vertical fog light housings provide some contrast. The crazy camouflage pattern makes things hard to discern at the rear, but the taillights appear to be more slender than they on the current model. Unfortunately, mechanical details about the new truck remain a mystery at the moment, but enjoy these spy shots as a preview of one more upcoming pickup.
Toyota found not at fault in alleged unintended acceleration crash
Fri, 11 Oct 2013Toyota has already paid out millions and billions of dollars in settlements surrounding unintended acceleration, but the first lawsuit in the matter, which headed to a California court in July, has reached a verdict. Following the 2009 death of Noriko Uno, whose 2006 Camry was hit by another car and then sped out of control before crashing into a tree, the jury found that Toyota was not at fault in the crash.
Even though the 2006 Camry (shown above) wasn't involved in any of the unintended acceleration-related recalls and it was not equipped with a brake override, Automotive News reports that the jury's verdict says there was no defect in the car and actually blames the entire incident on the driver that ran into Uno's car - to the tune of $10 million. The accident started when the other driver ran a stop sign and hit Uno's car, and the report says that medical conditions (including diabetes) caused Uno to fail to stop her Camry.
The AN article also states that this lawsuit was a bellwether case for around 85 other personal-injury and wrongful-death suits against Toyota, but there are still many impending suits across the country. Scroll down for an official statement on this particular case from Toyota.
