The car is 100 % and drives like brand new. Grandma liked to hit shopping carts as a sport in the parking lots, and it just has a few little exterior dings. Interior is very clean with a few marks on the driver's front seat, but nothing crazy. (see photos)"

This car is great mechanically, but has a few small dings and scratches.

23,000 original miles.  DEALER SERVICED ONLY.  In all truth and honesty, our Grandma has just hit 83 years and it is time to sell her car------NO FIBBING.      This pampered automobile has all available LIMITED EDITION (LE) factory options of convenience include ABS, FULL POWER and an expensive "Auto-Mate" anti-theft burglar alarm cloned to work with the same factory remote keyless entry.  3 sets of keys, 2 remotes, owner's manual and service warranty books.  Spare tire has never seen the road.  We just had it dealer serviced again and they wanted to buy it, but lowballed on the value.  It has new air and cabin filters, fresh oil change and transmission fluid, new TOYOTA battery, shampooed clean and waxed and clay-barred to look pretty.  Nice pin-striping is flawless.  No rust and most scratches have been touched-up with factory-colored matching paint.  Almost spotless interior.  Mechanically 100% correct. Drives straight and true.  If we needed a car, we would keep it...no doubt this is a keeper.   It just passed NJ MotorVehicle Safety and Smog Inspection with flying colors.  It is certified by NJMVS inspection for 2 full years.

*******IF YOU continue to change the oil every 3,000. miles on this Camry, you will probably get 200,000. miles PLUS of excellent & care-free engine performance motoring.  Where can you get a low mileage car in this great condition for well below book value and make it last 200,000. miles or more?  Buy it for a spare car or get it for the college kid.  *******

2014 Toyota Highlander recalled over seatbelt anchors

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Toyota has announced a small recall of its redesigned, 2014 Highlander over issues with one of its seat belts. The affected vehicles, which were built from November 20, 2013 to January 18, 2014, could have a seatbelt assembly in the middle seat of the third row that wasn't properly secured to a floor anchorage at the factory.
In total, 7,067 of the new Highlanders are included in the recall, which was discovered not after a crash, but during a post-build inspection at the factory. It's unclear if there have been any injuries as a result of the faulty seat belts.
Toyota is set to inform owners of the affected vehicles as well as dealers with the recalled Highlander models in their inventory. Naturally, repairs will be performed free of charge. For the full bulletin form the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, scroll down.

Toyota gives a free RAV4 to 50-millionth customer [w/video]

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

Not surprisingly, the 50-millionth Toyota product sold in the US was a Camry, but Toyota had a big surprise in store for Michael Dee, the buyer of said milestone vehicle. Toyota group vice president Bill Fay showed up at Dee's house to not only personally thank him for the purchase, but also completely paid off that brand new Camry, presenting the owner with a clear title.
But that wasn't all. As you can tell from the image above, Fay had one more trick up his sleeve. The group VP brought along a brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4, which was also presented to Dee in appreciation. The best part is that Dee's genuine amazement was all caught on video, which is posted below.

Toyota i-ROAD leans its way into the city [w/video]

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

According to Toyota, the "i-ROAD takes the company closer to its goal of creating the ultimate range of eco cars." As you're surely aware, that range of eco cars includes the enormously successful Prius family, but this new machine is nothing like the hybrid hatchback. And it's not even a car - Toyota calls the i-ROAD a Personal Mobility Vehicle.
Toyota's i-ROAD Concept, which debuts at this week's Geneva Motor Show, is adorned with just three wheels, meaning it's just as much a motorcycle as it is a car, and the driver and passenger sit in tandem style instead of side-by-side. This arrangement allows for a very thin 850mm width, which is about the same as a large motorcycle. Because the cockpit is enclosed, the occupants don't need helmets, nor are they open to the elements outside.
Also like a traditional two-wheeler, the i-ROAD tilts through the turns and when driving on uneven surfaces. Toyota says its computer-controlled Active Lean technology automatically balances the vehicle with no input from the driver.
