2014 Toyota Avalon Limited Sedan 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Westfield, Indiana, United States
The vehicle you are bidding on is a 2014 Toyota Avalon Limited. I bought this vehicle two months ago and just started a new job that forces me to drive quite a bit. I do not want to put that many miles on such a nice car so I am needing to downsize to something not so nice. I purchased this car in mid-May and need something smaller and with less perks. This car has it all. It is the Limited package with all the convenience features you could ever need. The following is a list of some of the options of this vehicle: (this is not everything, just the highlights)
3.5L DOHC Engine 18" Premium alloy wheels 10 airbags including both fronts, knees, and sides Blind Spot Monitor LED Headlights Fog Lights Auto Dimming mirrors Power moonroof Automatic rain sensing windshield wipers Climate control with auto and dual control Rear climate control HDD Navigation w/ JBL, touchscreen DVD/MP3 and 7" touchscreen Dual Power seats Heated and Cooled front seats Backup camera Driver seat memory Sport, eco, and normal drive modes Smart key with push button start Power rear sunshade with auto return 3M clear hood, fender and mirror protectors This vehicle has all the luxury of a Lexus just in a Toyota frame. The vehicle advertises 31 MPG but on the highway in Eco mode I average about 34 MPG! This is a new vehicle that you are getting for the price of a used vehicle and you don't have to deal with the hassle of going to the dealership. |

Toyota must go to trial over unintended acceleration suits
Tue, 08 Oct 2013Toyota is surely readying its trial lawyers, as the Japanese giant is officially headed to court in a pair of cases relating to its unintended acceleration fiascos of 2009 and 2010.
In the first case, the United States Supreme Court has actually got involved in matters, ignoring an appeal from Toyota that attempted to use an arbitrator to settle its California lawsuits. The automaker will now go to trial to face owners of 2010 Prius models over an alleged defect with the anti-lock braking systems, which plaintiffs say made the cars more difficult to stop, according to Bloomberg.
The second trial is a bit more in depth, covering the case of Ida St. John, an 83-year-old from Georgia, that crashed her 2005 Camry in 2009. The accident is believed to have played a part in her death, although the suit, being filed by her grandson, doesn't actually place blame on Toyota for her death.
Toyota Tundra ditches V6 for 2015
Fri, 12 Sep 2014The Toyota Tundra debuted in new-ish form for the 2014 model year, but as we head into 2015, the truck boasts a couple of small updates. Most notably, the base V6 engine has been discontinued. On top of that, there's the new TRD Pro model on offer for 2015, which we've told you about before.
Why kill the V6? Simple - it was very low-volume. "The Tundra V6 take rate was significantly less than five percent," a Toyota spokesperson confirmed via email to Autoblog. So for 2015, the two V8 engine options remain - a 4.6-liter unit with 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque, or the more powerful 5.7-liter powerplant with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard. Four-wheel drive, of course, is available with either engine.
The only other noteworthy changes for 2015 include an optional integrated trailer brake for the 5.7-liter models, a new rear under-seat tray storage system for Double Cab trucks, and a spray-in bed-liner. Scroll down for the official press blast.
Toyota GT86 engineers explored shooting brake and sedan variants, are they still in the cards?
Wed, 13 Mar 2013According to the Toyota UK blog, engineers for the automaker were so excited developing the GT86 coupe that they investigated producing a whole family of models based on the rear-wheel drive sports car. And at least one engineer - product chief Tetsuya Tada - still hopes it can happen, even if not everyone at Toyota is onboard. Tada: "Actually we tried to do this secretly but the executives found us out. They said: 'What are you doing? Will you please focus on the coupe.'"
Those mooted variants included both a four-door sedan and a shooting brake. Why? Aside from the pure excellence of a lightweight, brilliantly handling hatchback, Toyota was keenly aware of the fact that it may need to spread the cost of development out across several models. Tada says that's part of the reason why it was so easy to create the convertible. The company knew from the outset that a softtop version was in the cards, and built the machine's structure to accommodate having the roof sliced off.
Tada also made mention of the already-announced collaboration between Toyota and BMW. The engineer said that the GT86 was particularly helpful because it demonstrated just how successful a product conceived and designed by two different companies can be. While he didn't say exactly what Toyota and BMW are up to, it's clear the two are looking into a number of possibilities. It's an interesting read with a lot of
