I'm selling this beautiful Avalon because I no longer commute to work, so instead of driving 500 miles a week I drive 100 or so a month. It's the top of the line Limited model with all the whistles & bells. The color is Crimson Mica and it has a tri-colored black/brown/tan leather interior. The bluetooth thru the navigation system works great and will even vocally warn you about traffic problems further ahead. It also reads text messages & emails to you. This car listed for over $44,000, it's a hybrid so it gets 35-38mpg city or highway and it uses regular gas. it has 19,000+ miles on it and comes with an extended warranty that's good for 96 mos (8 years) or 125,000 miles. I paid $2000 extra for that extended warranty. This is truly a wonderful awesome car..but I worked for an elected official who after 19 years in office lost the election and the new administration downsized my department (IT).. KBB says it's worth $36,600 ..I'm asking $35,000 or a close offer because I do have a loan to pay off. I owe more than this and will be adding cash to the deal to make it work.This car needs nothing and I hate to sell it but I have other cars and to pay a note on a car that isn't being driven is DUMB...good opportunity for a great car...check it out...please...thanks!

North American production of foreign marques to jump in 2014

Wards Auto has released its North American Light Vehicle Production Forecast for 2014, and the report predicts foreign manufacturers will increase production on the continent some 3.9 percent by 2014. If accurate, that should see 123,000 additional cars, trucks and vans produced in North America, swelling the total number of units produced both by domestic and foreign manufacturers to 16.9 million light vehicles from a projected 15.6 million in 2013. Much of the increase can be attributed to the fact that Toyota intends to produce another car at its Blue Springs, MS plant as well as a new Lexus model at its Georgetown, KY facility in a year's time.
Likewise, Volkswagen intends to move production of a currently imported model to its plant in Puebla, Mexico. Daimler, Honda, Nissan and Mazda also plan to build additional models on North American soil for the first time. Around two-thirds of the new North American manufacturing will take place in Mexico, helping the country soak up a full 20 percent of the content's automotive production for the first time. Spongebob Squarepants Toyota Highlander gets Tanked in Vegas

In 2006, I bought a Scion xB (the super upright, first-generation one), and I always had this wild dream of turning the xBox into an aquarium after it had run its course in my personal test fleet. Long story short, that never happened. But apparently the folks at Toyota got wind of my idea - only, well, this isn't exactly what I had in mind.
Let's just start at the beginning here. This is a 2014 Toyota Highlander - you know, the redesigned one that bowed in New York earlier this year. I haven't driven it yet, but I'm sure it's plenty nice and will appeal to all sorts of families. Families with kids. Kids who like cartoons. Cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants.
Which brings me to our next talking point: the collaboration between Toyota and Nickelodeon for the Spongebob-themed wrap that covers every inch of this Highlander. This isn't the first time we've seen the yellow cartoon sponge on a Highlander - Toyota unveiled a differently wrapped version earlier this year - but this one features more of an aquatic, under-the-sea sort of theme. Perfect, considering the main point of this crossover's reason for being at SEMA.
