Selling my 2008 Toyota Tundra Limited Crew Max. I am the second owner of this truck, purchased it from Barker GMC in Houma, LA. It had 69,000 miles on it when I purchased it. It has been serviced at 5000 mile intervals at Greg Leblanc Toyota in Houma, LA. Everything works on the truck. Some key features, it has the memory seat for the driver seat, roll down rear window, the parking sensors in front and rear, bluetooth connect for phone calls on the nav unit. It also has the XM option, high end trailer brake controller mounted in a nice location, power folding mirrors, heated front seats, auto headlights, and the back seats recline. It has the JBL 12 speaker system, Towing package, and TRD exhaust tip. Im sure there are some things Im missing, as the truck was fully loaded in 2008. The wheels are platinum 20 Alum wheels. I upgraded the wheels in 2012. The tires are new this year. BFG AT purchased at Greg Leblanc Toyota. Also new this year, Bilstein 4600 series shocks (TRD tuned) and new oe control arms (upper and lower). I have receipts for virtually all the services performed on the vehicle. This truck just hit 115000 miles, it runs great and these engines have a great reputation. Truck will tow 10000lbs The driver seat it the only one that has some normal wear, easy fix though. The carpet has the normal wear that you would expect at 100k miles, original floor mats. The vehicle has never had to deal with dogs or any kind of smoking at least since I owned it. I would have not purchased it if it had. I took a few pics of exterior imperfections. The pass side front bumper has a spot where the clear coat has started to peel. There is also some scratches from where there used to be some fender flares. The fender flares that toyota puts on didnt hold up. I had the body shop near the house buff most of the scratches out, however the paint could be repaired. They quoted me $1100 to repaint the front end basically.

Here's the 2017 Toyota 86: Don't call it a Scion

Fri, Feb 5 2016

After we heard the bells toll for Scion yesterday, we told you that the Scion FR-S will transform into a Toyota. That's right: just a rebadging. The practical question is, which badge? The philosophical question, which we can't answer yet, is where it'll sit in the pantheon of front-engined, rear-drive Toyota sports cars, of which the Supra was the last one to visit our shores, from 1992 until 1998 in its fourth generation. And as if summoned by this conversation, this camouflaged prototype appeared. Our best guess is that this is going to be the US-bound, Toyota-badged version of the Subaru BRZ and all the other 86-badged variants: the Toyota 86 (in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and South Africa), Toyota GT86 (in Europe and New Zealand again), and Toyota FT86 (in Nicaragua and Jamaica). For simplicity's sake, let's call it a Toyota 86. Peer into the 86's swirly camo, and it looks like the car is going in for a light refresh. The lower intake in the front fascia, if it's representative of a production part, adopts a different shape and is considerably wider and narrower than either the BRZ or FR-S units. It also appears that the turn signal and its surround are reshaped, different than any of the current variants. Changes out back appear mild. The area around the license plate seems to be smoother, and there is likely a predictable light restyle of the bumper skin and defuser under the camo. We don't expect a significant power increase, and certainly not a turbocharger (sorry!), but crossing fingers wouldn't do any harm. Related Video:

Mazda's new Mexican plant capacity rises to 230,000

Sat, 05 Jan 2013

After the turmoil of last year, 2013 is getting off to a much better start for Mazda. The company has issued a release indicating that the forthcoming plant in Salamanca, Mexico has had its production capacity raised even though it isn't scheduled to go online until March 2014. The original plans called for a 140,000-unit capacity, 90,000 of that allotted for the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the remaining 50,000 for a small car Mazda would build for Toyota that would be based on the Mazda2. The new plans call for raising that by 90,000 units to a total of 230,000 units within two years, by the end of March 2016, and it looks like it will all go toward Mazda production to satisfy growing demand for Skyactiv vehciles. The Mexican plant's opening will be the return of Mazda manufacturing to North America, after Mazda6 production was moved back to Japan last year.
More good news for the company is that it projects 10 billion yen ($114 million) in net income for the financial year that will end in March. That would be a welcome turnaround from the 100-billion-yen loss in the previous financial year, part of a series of three annual losses in a four-year span.
You'll find the press release with the factory update below.

Toyota FV2 Concept is a single-seat mood ring for the road

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Of all the vehicles Toyota brought to the Tokyo Motor Show, the FV2 might be the most creative. The minimalist single-seat concept is a glimpse at Toyota's idea of a "fun to drive" vehicle in the future.
The FV2 is essentially a pod with a diamond-shaped wheel array (what powers said wheels has not been disclosed), and Toyota says that the technology of the vehicle allows it to gauge the driver's mood and suggest possible destinations. The interaction between driver and vehicle is also displayed in an augmented reality screen on the windshield, and the car can also act as a mood ring of sorts with exterior colors and patterns that can change based on the driver's mood. We can just see it now: "Don't mess with Jim today, his car is red."
Scroll down for a brief press release on the FV2.
