2008 Tundra 4x4 Lifted 5.7 No Reserve $1 Starting Bid. Do Not Need Anymore! on 2040-cars
Alliance, Ohio, United States
Up for sale is a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4x4 For sale. I'm a licensed Insured Ohio Auto Dealer, Linville Auto Sales. We are located at 512 N. Union Ave Alliance OH 44601. We are open Monday through Friday 9-6 and Saturday 9-2 If you would like to come inspect or test drive this vehicle you are more than welcome to do so. I am selling this truck through my Dealership for my sister. We will NOT be charging any fees whatsoever The selling price is all you pay upon vehicle pickup. You will owe your State tax's and whatever they charge. If you are an Ohio Resident we will collect your tax's at time of sale. But No Documentation or Title Fee's will be charged. My sister and her husband have owned it for roughly 4 years. They no longer need a truck and with the low balance they have owed on it through BB&T Bank, They have decided to sell it at NO RESERVE. Being we are a dealer you will get a bill of sale and a title put in your name and sent to you. You will get a 30 day tag to drive on till title is sent in your name from us. I have driven this truck personally for the last 6 months and made the payments on it. I used it through winter and I was going to keep it for a tow vehicle but I have decided it is too nice for what I need and I do not need a large truck that's worth so much to drive around. It has a 3 inch suspension lift. I had an oil change, Lube and filter put on it about 700 miles ago. It runs great. In the snow this winter it went anywhere I wanted it to go. It has Ice cold Air. Two tires are really decent the other two are looking a little worn. Being they are a larger tire you do hear a little road noise. I can install 4 new additional factory size tires for an additional $600 mounted and balanced if you want me too, as I am a tire dealer. I chose not to do this prior to sale just in case the person buying it had intentions of putting larger rims and or tires on it. The truck has a few chips and 1 small dent below the rear drivers side tail lamp as shown in the pictures. The truck is very solid. The truck rides and handles the way it is supposed to. No surprises here. Pictures speak a 1000 words so if you check out all the pictures you will be happy. Auction will run for 7 days with NO RESERVE $1 starts the bid. I will not end the auction early. Whatever it pulls it pulls. If its $3,000 or $30,000 it sells to high bidder. Please pick up and pay within 7 days. No checks! Cash or certified funds or bank transfer. |

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
Recharge Wrap-up: Honda FCV Concept comes to Detroit, Toyota seeks young green energy fellows
Thu, Dec 18 2014Honda will bring its FCV Concept to the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The hydrogen-powered concept made its Japanese debut in November, and will now make its way to North America for the first time. The FCV concept improves upon the design of the FCX Clarity with a more striking appearance and roomier interior. Its smaller powertrain packaging means more space for people, and the FCV Concept seats five passengers. Honda also expects the next-generation fuel-cell car, which is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in March 2016, to cost less and have a range of over 300 miles. Read more in the press release below. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive has been awarded an environmental certificate from the TUV Sud technical inspection authority. The certificate is based not just on the vehicle's operation, but the entire lifecycle of the car, including production and recycling. The B-Class Electric Drive produces 24 percent less CO2 over its lifecycle than the Mercedes-Benz B180 when using the EU electricity mix, and 64 percent less when powered by hydroelectricity. Mercedes credits not just the use of electricity, but also the car's energy management system - such as its radar-based regenerative braking - for its carbon reductions. Read more in the press release below. Scania will test a wirelessly charged plug-in hybrid bus in Sweden. Beginning in June 2016, the bus will be put to daily use in Sodertalje. One of its stops will have a wireless charging station where the bus will recharge for six to seven minutes before continuing on its route again. The charger is located under the road surface and the bus positions itself above it to charge inductively. About $1.3 million will come from the Swedish Energy Agency to fund the test project, which could save up to 90 percent of fuel costs. If expanded to a fleet of 2,000 buses, it could save up to 13 million gallons of fuel each year. Read more at Green Car Congress, and in the press release below. Sandia National Laboratories and Linde are teaming up to expand hydrogen fueling infrastructure. The two groups have signed an agreement to research and develop new hydrogen stations, as well as ways to make fuel cell vehicles more desirable for consumers. They are looking at ways to incorporate hydrogen into existing fuel stations where possible, and make sure that it is able to be done safely.
Toyota found not at fault in alleged unintended acceleration crash
Fri, 11 Oct 2013Toyota has already paid out millions and billions of dollars in settlements surrounding unintended acceleration, but the first lawsuit in the matter, which headed to a California court in July, has reached a verdict. Following the 2009 death of Noriko Uno, whose 2006 Camry was hit by another car and then sped out of control before crashing into a tree, the jury found that Toyota was not at fault in the crash.
Even though the 2006 Camry (shown above) wasn't involved in any of the unintended acceleration-related recalls and it was not equipped with a brake override, Automotive News reports that the jury's verdict says there was no defect in the car and actually blames the entire incident on the driver that ran into Uno's car - to the tune of $10 million. The accident started when the other driver ran a stop sign and hit Uno's car, and the report says that medical conditions (including diabetes) caused Uno to fail to stop her Camry.
The AN article also states that this lawsuit was a bellwether case for around 85 other personal-injury and wrongful-death suits against Toyota, but there are still many impending suits across the country. Scroll down for an official statement on this particular case from Toyota.
